Some pages for my season's scrapbook

It seems so long since I created any scrapbook pages and I really enjoyed doing these. It's whetted my appetite for doing more now :o)

A winter stroll at Elvaston Castle

Took these on Thursday 5th Feb at Elvaston Castle Country Park. How beautiful it looked before everyone spoilt it by walking all over. Seems like I have been waiting forever to get decent amount of snow to take pics for my Christmas cards :o)

Good morning bloggers

Finally managed to get on here within a few days instead of weeks :o) I made these two cards during the week using my favourite HOTP papers again and two 2 of my favourite word stamps. Yes I know one is similar to one of my last lot, but I do so love that paper and I only have 3 pages of it left :o(

Cards I made at our craft day

I went to the same crafting day on Sunday as Viv over on Crafting Haven. What an absolutely brilliant day it was too. You can read all about it on Viv's blogspot, I won't bore you with details you may already have read except to say a huge thank you to Pauline and Rob for their wonderful hospitality:o)

These are the 4 cards I managed to make on the day, all backing papers are HOTP.

some of my first cards of 2009

These are a few of the cards I have made using a photograph taken last week at Attenborough Nature Reserve with my new camera. It's the first time I have ever managed to get a clear robin pic as they normally clear off when I get near enough but with my telephoto lens it was a doddle :o)

I am still waiting for the elusive snow so I can get out there to take some pics, but we never get enough to bother :o(

Welcome to 2009

Good morning, I would like to wish you all a very Happy, Healthy and Peaceful New year :o)

It will be good to get back to normal, whatever that may be!

I don't normally do New Year resolutions, but I have resolved to try and get onto here more often and even learn how to put links on (fingers crossed). I will have to ask my good friend Viv for lessons once she has recovered from Christmas, New Year and Wedding festivities :o)

I hope 2009 brings you all you would wish for yourselves and your families :o)

Stampin Up Party

Oh Wow! , what a day to remember :o)

My little house had 13 crafters in and was bulging at the seams, but it was a wonderful day made even better when a knock came on the door and it was a crafting friend come all the way up from Hounslow, driven by a very dear friend of hers. What a wonderful surprise that was :o)

The first guests arrived at around 9.40am and the last left around 7.40pm.

I can tell you there was a lot of mirth and jollity and to cap it all, we hadn't told Viv it was to be a birthday celebration for her too, she became eligible for her bus pass 4 days later. Our good friend Sandra had made a beautiful cake for the occasion and Viv nearly cried when we made her cut it :o) It was scrumptious.

This is the card I made for her using a pic of her own dog Harvey that I took when he was just 8 weeks old :o)

I thank all those who shared the day with us from the bottom of my heart :o)

Oh WOW!, I finally managed to place the picture where I wanted it YAYYYY

I would like to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Oh dear, how the time does fly! I cannot believe how long it is since I last posted on here. I have been so busy with Christmas and wedding card orders. Now they are nearly finished

I must make a mental note to myself "must check my blog more often!"

Hopefully in the next few days I will get some of them on here :o)

I am getting very excited now, having my Stampin Up party on Sunday with friends coming from far and wide. I am hoping that Mother Nature doesn't make it difficult for them to get here!
