Perfect day

What a wonderful day I had yesterday with like minded friends :o) I left my house at 8.30am and got home at 10.35pm and I was only travelling for 20 minutes each way :o)
12 of us got together for an SU party then when that was over and the rest went home, 6 of us invaded our local craft shop (as if we hadn't already spent enough!) then we went back and enjoyed a crafting afternoon for which I had nothing to show but we did have a great time chinwagging and lots of laughter, followed by the most wonderful meal prepared by our lovely hostess Sandra.
Many thanks to Pauline and her long suffering hubby for providing the venue and gallons of tea/coffee :o)
Monday is a work day so not much crafting today :o(

I made this one for my friend Pat who is poorly with a bad chest infection, I hope she likes it!

Materials used;
Own photgraphs
Silicone glue
Stamped sentiment
Cream linen base card

Good morning bloggers

I am so excited that we have our first egg from our Derby Cathedral Peregrines over at http://195.224.106.202/peregrine/webcam.htm
Nothing to do with crafting but I love birds of prey and to have the peregrines nesting so close by is fantastic :o)

Two cards I made this morning

I love making cards using my own photographs and this morning was just so dull and cold and miserable out there I thought these would look more cheerful :o) My friend Pat created the trellis and I used it to make the backing for the clematis. I'm not too good at decoupage as I don't usually do it but I thought the clematis lent itself well to this technique.
Pat tubed my azalea photograph and I created the border with it, edging it with Martha Stewart punch and matted both the topper and the border on gold mirri card.
Materials used;
Pink and mauve hammered basecard from PMS
Gold mirri card
stamped sentiments
Scraps of ribbon
Cuttlebug corner die
Martha Stewart punch
Glamour dust
Silicone glue
