One folder, three cards

Good morning everyone,  I hope all is well with you, and if not then here's a few hugs {{{{{hugs}}}}}
Thank you for all of your kind words about my trial run without Statins. It's been 10 days now since I took my last one, but too soon to tell yet. The doctor says I need to be off them for a month to be certain, and if the pains ease, then I need to take them again for another month to see if they come back so we would know for sure whether it's them making it worse. Only time will tell!
For my walking problem, caused by lumbar disc degeneration, I am today posting off an application for a blue badge, please keep you fingers crossed for me :o)

With it being Bank Holiday week there have been no therapy sessions for Stephen this week, so I have made lots of cards and here are three of them.

For the first and third ones, I raided the scrap box for papers, for the second one I used a scrap of white linen card and inked the folder with Big and Juicy inkpad.
Folder is from Darice, bought it months ago and have only just now used it for the first time!
First and third ones are layered onto gold textured card, the second one layered onto red Bazzill. As I was using the embossing folder for the image I didn't want to detract from it with embellishments so kept them CAS.
On the third one I highlighted the dots with a gold uniball pen I found in my stash from my early crafting day and was delighted when it still worked LOL.
Sentiments are from SU and Stamps and Smiles. Pearls on the second one are coloured with Copic pen. I hope I haven't sent you all off to sleep with this long post! :o)

.....and this is what I made with my belated birthday present

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world. Here's some hugs for those who want or need them {{{{{hugs}}}}}

Well, as the title suggests, here is my card for today. What a lovely crisp image from the fabulous Woodware stamps inked up with Versafine.

Base card is white hammered from the Papermill Direct. I bought one of those huge boxes filled with white and ivory about 4 years ago and I still have lots left because I only use it if I am covering the card with paper etc which I don't do very often!
The other stamps I used are Lavinia. I did the stamping after I had inked the plain white card up with Big and Juicy inkpad.
Sentiment is from a stamp set by My Creative Time. Image was layered onto plain black card before being attached to the base card :o)

Another agapanthus card

Good afternoon everyone, it's a bit late in the day for me but heyho, better late than never, so they say!
I went for physio this morning.  She put me through my paces and was delighted with my progress so she discharged me Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeee :o)
Onto my card for today.

Base card is white linen card  folded and cut to 6x6, or more correctly, to fit into a 6x6 envelope.
I stamped the background with Hero Arts wood block stamp set and Big and Juicy inkpad.
Agapanthus cluster stamped with Memento ink as is the SU sentiment.  Ribbon from stash.
I hope you like it :o)

Agapanthus stamped with Versamark them heat embossed with Cosmic Shimmer powder, then brayered with Big and Juicy inkpad. Cut with my new Nesties then layered onto base card, add a little inking round the edges and Memory Box die + pearls coloured with copics :o)

A couple of cards

Good afternoon everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs
I'm a tad late today, had to go for physio first and she is very pleased with my progress. If I am still progressing  as well next time then she will sign me off :o)
I have two cards to show you today, both with my own photographs but both quite different.

As you can see, this one is very CAS. I took the photograph at Calke Abbey last summer. Feathered it in PSP and opened in Word then added the text and printed onto my favourite Papermania Textured card, then folded and cut to 7x5

For this one I folded and cut mauve hammered card to 6x6. The backing is plain white card embossed with M-Bossability A4 folder then brayered with Fiskars textured roller using Big and Juicy inkpad. SU sentiment cut with Nesties. This is one of the photographs I languishing in a drawer, I had it printed out about 3 years ago :o)

New TH die

Good morning everyone, what a gloriously sunny Easter day it is here near Derby, I hope you have the same wherever you are.
This is my first card using my new TH Tattered Florals die and I am quite pleased with it :o)

I created my own background again for this one. Same method as on my previous card but using a different M-Bossability A4 folder.
Card blank is PDA card from stash, folded and cut to 6x6.
Dies used are TH, Cheery Lynn, Memory Box and SU punches and stamp.
I cut the flower from a scrap of music paper found in a drawer, then brayed it with the same Big and Juicy inkpad that I did the backing with :o)

Whales and dolphins

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world and the snow has cleared off!
Thank you for all the well wishes for my first physio session. From what other peeps had said I was expecting it to be grim but not at all, I got through it fine and was very interested when the physiotherapist showed me on a skeleton shoulder just what is wrong with mine. I find that when I know what is causing the pain I can better understand it.  'Twas a good session and I am hopeful of a phased return to work in a couple of weeks (fingers crossed :o)
Anyhow, on to my card for today

I created the backing by embossing 160gsm thin card with M-Bossability A4 folder then brayering with a Fiskars textured brayer and a Big and Juicy inkpad.
I folded and cut pale blue hammered PMS card to 6x6 and layered the backing on.
I took the photographs in Sea World, Florida and Miami Seaquarium in 1989, before there were digital cameras so I had to scan them in. I opened them in Photoshop Elements 5 the create the frame and the title, then printed in Word on photo paper and about 3 years or so ago and never used it. I found several of my old photographs which I had printed and never used. It really does pay to have a shuftie through your old stash occasionally :o) The only new stuff used on this card is the starfish and anchor dies from Marianne. Methinks I may add a couple more starfish :o)

Another friend's anniversary card

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well with you and yours. The sun is shining here this morning, not sure for how long though!
I can't believe it's the last day of my holiday, I have to go back to work tomorrow! I don't mind though because I have run out of money. The weather wasn't conducive to going out and taking photographs so I went out spending instead. Three different craft shops and lots of dies later, my purse is empty! No, I don't use a card for my craft shopping, I go to shops and see and feel before I buy.
I have 4 friends with anniversaries in August, this is the second card so that's 2 down, 2 to go :o)

Base card is white hammered cut and folded to 6x6.
I versamarked the Lindsay Mason flutterbies onto plain white card and heat embossed with Stampendous detail white, then went over it with brayer using Big & Juicy Spice inkpad.
I layered the main panel onto copper pearlised card from ??? added a scrap of ribbon from stash, then layered onto the base card. Copper flutterbies cut using SU embosslits folder and that's all there is to it :o)

A card and a welcome

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there. When I came out of work at 9.30 last night I had to scrape the car windscreen, but it has rained overnight and cleared the ice. I wish it would make up it's mind!
I see that I have a new follower. Welcome Manjula, can you please let me see your blog so I can say hello to you.
Onto my card for today, which is another brayered one.

For details see my previous card except that I used Stampendous agapanthus stamp, a different Big & Juicly inkpad (sorry, can't remember the name) and Papermania black embossing powder, plus Nesties :o)

Get well card

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well. I must say I prefer the frost and sun of earlier in the week to the windy, rainy grey days at this end of the week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been playing.....

.....with the resist technique, at least I think it is LOL.
Hi everyone on this very frosty Saturday morning. Thank goodness I don't go to work until 2pm so hopefully won't have to scrape the car!

I folded linen card then cut with nesties labels 6 to make the basecard.
I used PB Queen Anne's Lace and stamped with Versamark then heat embossed with Papermania Seafoam white.
Next step was to brayer with Big & Juicy Spice inkpad then added the Marianne diecuts which I popped with 1mm foam pads and Bob's yer uncle, couldn't be much more simple :o)

Hold on to your dreams

Good morning everyone, Monday again already. Don't the weeks fly by so fast!
Does it show that I love doing this style of card?

I just had to use my new Marianne bird die and teamed it up with others from the same stable. Background is brayered with Big and Juicy and then stamped with Papermania greeting and Srampendous stamps using Memento black/London fog inkpads :o)

Monochrome card and a welcome

Good morning bloggers, I hope you are all well or getting there :o)
I would like to say welcome to Rachael, my latest follower, Hi Rachael.
I see the wind is back and the morning is very grey and dull but at least it is dry so far, not holding my breath though!
Anyhow, on to my card for today, which I have to say I am very happy with :o)

I do love browns, earth colours. I cut and folded white card to 5x7. Brayered another piece of white card with Big and Juicy inkpad Spice then stamped it with Kanban dandelion stamps and  SU greeting for the background using Memento inkpad.
The embossed panel was created with my new Craft Concepts dandelion folder and matted onto corrugated card from PDA. To finish off, I added a couple of Marianne diecuts which I cut from Bazzill. Hope you like it :o)

Another simple card

Good afternoon everyone. I'm a bit late today but I just had to get stuff done before turning the computer on! Then it was lunch time and I really enjoyed my stew and dumplings and I've got cheese and onion bread in the breadmaker so I will be having that for my tea :o)
Anyway, on to my card,  for which I have used some of my new Marianne dies again, I love them.

I used  nesties to frame the main image.  I roughly brayered plain white paper with Big and Juicy inkpad Spice, andthere is just a hint of SU stamps :o)

Another silhouette card

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well with you :o)
I am not too sure about this one. I've been playing with SCAL again and this is what I came up with.
I cut and folded the 7x5 basecard then brayered with a Big & Juicy inkpad. The nativity scene is from Scrapping Table, sorry  I can't rememeber where the star is from. I converted the palm tree into an svg file from a silhouette by my good friend PatEssex on DC. All elements were cut on the Cricut.
I have to go to work this afternoon but I hope you all have a great weekend :o)

My new cooker arrived.....

..... and would you believe it, I had forgotten to take the chicken breast (for casserole) out of the freezer, so what was the first thing I did? I opened a tin of Baxters Italian tomato and Basil soup to keep me going because by that time - 3pm - I was starving!!!!!
Later I had cheese on toast because I was going out and didn't have time to cook anyway. Now I am sat sitting typing in to the delicious aroma of my chicken casserole cooking in my top oven. Yes, I think you all know by now that cooking and I do NOT mix so I went and bought a cooker with not one, but TWO ovens :o)
Anyhow, on to my card.

Yes, I am sorry it is yet another brayered card but I can't help it, I love them. At least I have 2 new Big & Juicy inkpads so there will be some different colours :o)
This time I used my Queen Anne's Lace stamp for both background and topper and the only embelishments are Sizzix leaves and Martha Stewart flutterbies.
Well it's nearing the end of my week off work so I am going to Byrkley Park after lunch for a last bit of retail therapy. Then it's back to work on Monday grooooooooooooooooan.  :o)

A trio of silhouette cards

Good morning everyone. I hope you are all well or as near well as you can be.
I had a wonderfull day in Macclesfield on Tuesday but it was not good weather so we didn't get to the reservoir, instead we went out to Edgehill for some retail therapy. What a shame...NOT, LOL. I only bought 3 items, 2 Big and Juicy inkpads and a Martha Stewart goo edge punch. I used one of the inkpads for my first card and the other two were brayered using an old one.

Methinks I may become addicted to this type of card!
I used various stamps and various nested cutting dies and a smidgin of glamour dust.
Oh well, thats the enjoyable bit of my holiday done for now, I had better get back to painting the kitchen!!!!! My new cooker is being delivered tomorrow so that's another new toy to play with. What a shame that I detest cooking :o)
