From one Jackie to another Jackie

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs.

I will be at work tonight then I have a whole week off Yayyyyyyyyyyy. I always have  my birthday week off, and I will be starting it tomorrow by joining my crafting friends for a day of crafting, chinwagging, laughing and best of all, retail therapy :o)

On to my card for today, which I made to give to my work friend Jackie. Like me, she loves her Kindle, unlike me she is a party animal, hence the inside :o)

For the front, I took a photograph of my own Kindle, then opened it in PSP7 to feather it and blur the book I was reading at the time. Don't want to get pulled up for publishing part of someone else's writing LOL. It was a paranormal romance!
I added the text using Smarty Pants font.
The bookworm is an Elizabeth O Dulemba image, coloured with Wink of Stella pens (not the brushes), then I fussy cut it out and raised it with sticky foam pads.
Computer generated sentiment also raised on foam pads.

I created the insert in my very old Greeting Card Factory, using their own images. I wish I could be a fly on the wall when she opens it :o)

Easter 8, 9 and 10,

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well with you...hugs

It's back to my Easter duck today with him making an appearance on three more cards. I have doubled up on them for my hospital box.

My own photographs of course, feathered and merged in PSP7. I do have PSP11 but I mostly use 7 for feathering and merging as it loads up much quicker! I use 11 mainly when I want to use the tiling function for creating papers, and for different frames!
All three basecards are white linencard from The Range, folded and cut to 7x5.
My artwork printed onto the same linencard inclucing the sentiments, then cut with Spellbinders and Die-namics dies.
All mats are from my scrap box.
Crosses cut with Spellbinders dies :o)

Mr Bean

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs.

Well, what weather we are getting at the moment! Wall to wall blue skies and sunshine, then the next minute black as night and hailing like nobody's business, then before you can blink the sunshine is back for the next round, and so on ad infinitum...I wonder if today will be the third one in a row like it!!!

My card for today if for the daughter of one of my friends. She is Mr Bean crazy and has seen this film an uncountable number of times...

Unfortunately I have never met the gentleman to take photographs of him, so I had to Google for them!
My usual white linencard from The Range, folded and cut to 7x5.
After feathering the images I merged and printed them, and the sentiment,  onto the same linencard, then layered onto black Papermania textured card, then onto the basecard.
Finished off with Memory Box diecut foliage and stickyback pearls from stash, coloured with Copic pen. The young lady loves him whether real or cartoon so I added him to the insert too. Had to disguise the personal message :o)

Easter 7

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs

It's hard to tell what it's like outside yet, not light enough, but it seems quite mild!

My card for today is very simple indeed, being printed straight onto the base card.

My own photograph, of course. This is Attenborough Parish Church, Notts.
Several generations of my ancestors were hatched, matched and despatched here.
I took the photograph looking across one of the lakes at Attenborough Nature Reserve and conditions were perfect for the lovely reflection.
Feathered in PSP and printed onto white linencard from The Range.
The cross was cut with Spellbinders using gold textured card :o)

8x8 Buddha card...

... for my friend's daughter, she is mad about Buddha, all Buddhas!

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

For once I haven't taken photographs of Buddha or lotus flowers, so I had to Google the images! This will be the young lady's last birthday before she become's a Mum.
She also like fairly CAS cards so ther are no fussy embellies!

I loved this laughing Buddha, and I hope the recipient does too.
I opened him up in PSP7 and added a washed out border, then printed hom onto my usual white linencard, then layered him onto gold textured card from stash.
Computer generated sentiment, printed onto same card using Dauphin font, and lotus bloom added. Cut with Die-namics dies and popped with sticky foam tape.

A Buddha quote plus lotus bloom.

As the recipient love all Buddhas I incorporated a few more into this one, both cut with Spellbinders Grand Nesties.
I hope she likes it, I showed it to her mum and she loves it :o)

A photographs and sentiments printed onto the same linencard then cut with Die-namics round stitched dies.
Pots of daffys are from an SU stamp set, coloured with copics.
Crosses cut with Spellbinders dies.

Christmas 16

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or recovering from whatever ails you...hugs.

Back to Christmas for my card today :o)

My usual white linencard folded and cut to 6x6, although I should really say  cut to fit into a 6x6 envelope!
Same card used to print my manipulated robin photograph, which I took at St Chad's Water about 3 years ago.
I opened my photograph in PSE5 to give it the swirly frame, and took the colour from the robin to give it a hint of red.
Cut with Spellbinders die, and matted onto a Marianne die.

Stamped sentiment, sorry it's old and has no name :o)

Another CAS commission.

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs.

A friend asked me to make a Friendaversary card for and 18 year old young man, and here is what I came up with.

Here is the card, inside and out.
I used my usual white linencard, folded and cut to 7x5.
Own photogrph of beer bottles, printed onto same linencard, sentiment added, then cut with my brand new Die-namics fishtail dies, them mounted onto sticky foam squares to add depth.
Card candy from stash to finish.
Inside stamped with Personal Impressions stamp and I added the little sentiment with a stamp from the same set :o)

8x8 commissioned card, own photographs

Good morning Bloggers, I hope that all is well in your world...hugs

When I went in to work at teatime yesterday it was positively mild, when I came out about 10pm it was -2C and I had to scrape the car Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

My card for today is a commissioned 8x8 70th birthday card which had to feature fishing and booze! So, out came the photographs and I had a little play in PSP and PSE5 and here is the result, front and inside.

I took the photograph of the anonymous man fishing on the Erewash canal at Long Eaton several years ago and used the cookie cutter tool in PSE5 to give himDie- the swirly frame.
The trout at the top inside was taken at Lathkill dale about 5 years ago and the pike at the bottom was taken at Cromford Wharf even more years ago.
Computer generated sentiments using Dauphin font, cut with Die-namics stitched fishtail die.
Fishy stamps from a very old SeeDs set and beer stamp from Personal Impressions. The customer wont see it before tonight so I hope she likes it!  :o)

Back to my bits boxes

Good morning one and all, I hope your are warm and well...hugs

My new sofa arrived yesterday, I reclined at 2pm and the next thing I knew was my friend ringing me at 4.15pm LOL.  I am so happy to report that I did the right thing in buying it :o)

For my card today, I raided the bits boxes again!

Everything on this card (apart from the basecard) is from the bits boxes.
I stamped the image many years ago at a friend's hous so I have no idea who made it.
Marianne diecut foliage.
Embossalicious folder.
Red mirri card.
Image coloured with Caran D'Ache watercolour pens and matted onto a scrap of DCWV card :o)

Easter 2

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all warm and well...hugs

I am soooooooooo looking forward to my new sofa being delivered tomorrow, my old one left home on Sunday to go and stay with friends and I know it is well appreciated, but I am so tired because I can't get my afternoon toes up! I did try going upstairs and laying on my bed but its too painful to stay there long. Roll on tomorrow PDQ :o)

Anyhow, I digress, so here is my card for today.

This is a photograph I took in Spring 2011 at Calke Abbey.
Base card is my usual white linencard, folded and cut to 6x6.
Photograph and sentiment (Dauphin font) printed onto the same linencard then cut with that new die. The other stitched dies I ordered have now arrived from the US and I intend using them today.
The cross is Spellbinders and I have lifted it with sticky foam pads.
Another very simple card :o)

Christmas 15, a different robin

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

My card for today features another one of my robin photographs. This one was taken at St. Chads Water, a little reserve about 3 miles from where I live.  It's a lovely spot to sit and read on a summer afternoon. I have mentioned it quite often but never thought to put a link on before, very remiss of me!

My usual white linencard for the base, folded and cut to 6x6.
I opened my photograph inPSE5 and used the cookie cutter to create the topper, taking the colour from the robin for the starburst, then printed it onto the same linencard before cutting it and the mat with Spellbinders die.
I was lucky enough to find a 12x12 DCWV page, which matched the colour beautifully,
in my stash.
Corners cut with Memory Box snowflake die then cut into two.
That's all there is to it folks :o)
