For a dolphin loving friend

Good morning Bloggers,  it's lovely here after an evening of rain, which was desperately needed!
I hope all is well in your world wherever you are...hugs

Welcome to new followers Jackie and Alison, good to see you ladies.

I made this card for a dolphin loving friend.

Oh well, I chose to upload the front first but Blogger decreed otherwise!!!
I Googled free dolphin images and loved this one as soon as I saw it.
Not my own card blank for a change, it's 8x8 from, I think, Papermania.
I opened the dolphin image in PSP, and added the text in Papyrus font.
I then added the shiwreck image which is from Cagoline  but I changed the text on the little signpost to the recipient's name. Printed it onto white linencard, cut to size then inked the edge with Memento inkpad.
Added grass, anchor and starfish diecuts from Memory Box and Marianne.
Starfish inside is from Cajoline, and swirl die from Memory Box. Added a private joke :o)

1 image, 2 cards

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well in your world, here's a few hugs for those who need or want them {{{{{hugs}}}}}

Been playing with that snowman digi from Karen's Doodles again, he is such a happy fellow you just have to smile :o)

This one is similar, but not the same, as another one I made, scroll down to see it.
Base card is white linen from The Range, and I printed the image onto the same.
Image coloured with Sakura Gelly Roll Stardust pend and Copics.
Added a smidgin of Glamour Dust to give a bit of sparkle.

For this one I decided to have a go at printing him straight onto the linen card, then coloured him with the same Sakura pens as above.
Sentiment ic computer generated using Smarty Pants font :o)

Card using my first panoramic photograph

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs.

One or two of you suggested that I make a card using my panoramic photographs so I did, and here it is for your perusal, I hope it meets with your approval :)

I used white linen card folded and cut to my favourite 7x5.
Background photograph is one I took at St Chad's Water a couple of years ago.
Inset is, of course, my first panoramic photograph taken at the same place last Friday.
Both are printed onto the same white linen card and matted with black Papermania textured card.
My new Memory Box die was also cur from the same black card.
I wasn't too sure about it at first but I am quite pleased with it now :o)

Set of 6

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your  world...hugs for anyone who wants or needs them :o)

I am back at work now after a week off doing my own thing, and I had only been there an hour before I felt as though the holiday was in the distant past... got to wait about 7 weeks for another week off!

My offering today is a set of 6 small cards, I don't often make A6 cards but the image is very small!!! They were to be my last Christmas cards for my own use this year, but I have a few more up my sleeve, can't get out of Christmas mode LOL.

Base cards are Ivory linen from Papermill Direct, folded and cut to A6.
A rt Impressions image stamped onto same ivory card then cut with Spellbinders, as is the brown mat.
The only colouring is the shadow which was done with Copic warm grey 001.
Sentiment stamp is un-named.
Very quick and easy for batch making, it took me 40 minutes to make these 6 from start to finish not counting  the inserts :o)

Been playing wiv my new toy.....

.....and I love it to bits already. I bought the Samsung Galaxy tablet cuz it matches my mobile phone so I know what a lot of the icons mean. I am fine on my computers and with my camers, but these mobiles and tablets are a complete mystery to me LOL.
It was a dull grey day yesterday but I decided to pop along to one of my favourite places,  a fairly local lake called St Chad's Water. It's only about 3 miles away but it's a beautiful little oasis full of peace and tranquility.  It is off the beaten track, and yet the M1 motorway is just a couple of miles away as the crow flies. I sometimes take my Kindle there to sit in the shade and read, sometimes I just sit and watch the wildfowl doing their own thing.  I used be able to walk around the lake but those days are gone now, although the memories are still there. At least I can still go there and sit, pondering the mysteries of life :o)

Enough waffle now, here are the first two panoramic pics I have taken with my new Tablet!

Daft though it sounds, I have had my little camera, the one I bought to replace my stolen on, over two years now and never got around to looking at the panoramic funtion on it, so I decided to have a go with that one too, and voila, it worked a treat. If I hadn't bought the tablet I may never have discovered it. The pics I took with that one are still in the camera so not shown here. I had some strange notion that to take panoramic pics with it, I would have to take them then try aligning them to fit them together. For those of you think along the same lines, not so, it is sooooooooooooooooo easy to take them as the camera has guides on screen and tells you if you go out of them :o)

Been getting inky

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well, or at least getting there...hugs.

Well, I've got my new Galaxy tablet and love it already. I love being able to take panoramic pics on it, couldn't believe how easy it is. I have no doubt that there is lots more to learn about it but hey, Rome wasn't built in a day LOL.

I had an inky session the other day and here is the result, it is one for the box!

Base card is hammered white, folded and cut to 6x6.
Plain white card inked with TH distress inks, stamped with Stampendous agapanthus cluster and SU sentiment, then layered onto red mat and onto the basecard.
It really was that simple :o)

Christmas 61 and 62

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs.
It's still dark out there so although I can see it's dry I don't know what it's like yet!

I have to say that I am very pleased with my new Tivo box, (yes Christine, I did enjoy the Virgin Man's visit LOL) and this morning I am expecting my other new toy to arrive. Ordered yesterday morning and dispatched within an hour, it's a Galaxy tablet, my very first tablet so I will no doubt have some kind of fun getting it set up!

I am getting close to the end of my own Christmas cards now thank goodness, but then I will have my cousin's card to make, anywhere between 20 and 40 depending on if she had any left over last Christmas LOL.

So, here is my offering for today, a girl and  a boy card, both using the same image.

Both base cards are white linen card from The Range, folded and cut to 6x6.
Marianne image stamped onto same linen card and coloured with Copics, then cut with Spellbinders Nesties.
Both cards have a memory Box die cut from scraps.
Brads from stash :o)

Another flutterby

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world.....hugs

I am on holiday from work this week and I've got the Virgin man coming this morning to bring me an updated, faster hub and  a Tivo box. I'm only having the basic package cuz I don't watch enough TV to pay for more channels to not watch LOL. I fancy being able to  watch the stuff I do like at a time convenient for me for a change!

Anyhow, back to the reason I am here. I have another flutterby card to show you today :o)

This is a Speckled Wood flutterby, I took the photograph on the Nutbrook Trail close by Osbourne Pond, near Ilkeston, a couple of years ago when I was still able to walk instead of hobbling along LOL.
Plain white card folded and cut to my favourite 7x5.
Photograph printed onto same plain card then cut with Spellbinders, as is the buff
coloured mat.
Same buff coloured card (from PDA) used for the memory Box leaves, and a scrap of dark brown for the Martha Stewart punched flutterbies.

Christmas 60, another jolly Santa

What a lovely sunny Saturday morning it is, without being uncomfortably hot :o)
I hope all is well with everyone...hugs

This is #2 of my old Craft Uk Santa stamps, I really enjoyed colouring them both in.

I made the base card 7x7 because I have quite a few of that size envelopes!
I embossed plain white card with Embossalicious 8x8 folder, cut it to size and inked the edges with Memento inkpad.
Image coloured with Copics and cut it with Xcut plain round large die and the red mat with Spellbinders Grand Nestie. Glamour Dust added to give it a bit of sparkle.
Sentiment stamp from?

Red Admiral

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs.

I have a very simple card for you today, but then, most of my cards are simple LOL. This will go into my box for use later.

Base card is white line folded and cut to my favourite 7x5.
Own photograph, taken at one of the NT places I visited a couple of years ago, it may have been Calke Abbey but not sure. Feathered in Paint Shop Pro then printed onto linen card and cut with Spellbinder's Nestie, as is the orange mat.  Martha Stewart punched flutterbies. Orange and browncard from scrap box :o)

Christmas 59

Good morning everyone, looks like another lovely day ahead of us. I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs.
Had my old stamps out again, this one is from Crafts UK (I think I have got the name right) and hasn't seen ink for a couple of years or more!

Base card is plain white card from stash.
I cut two pieces to 7x7, then scored an inch in one of them, then stuck with DS tape to the back for ease of opening.
Imgae stamped onto plain white card scrap, then coloured with Copics. The tree looks brown here but it really is green LOL.
I cut the image out with Xcut large nesting die and the mat with Spellbinders Grand Nestie.
Mat is red mirri card.
I finished off with stamped snowflakes from SU and added a smidgin of Glamour dust to the snow and the fluffy bits :o)

Christmas 57 and 58

Good morning everyone, it's calm and dry out at the moment, not seen the forecast for today yet!
I hope all is well in your world...hugs.

Two quite different cards this morning, one is a digi image merged onto my own photograph, the other is stamped with an old stamp!

This one is another photograph I took at Elvaston Castle in 2009, with a digi image from Karen's Doodles merged into it, then Image coloured with Copics and Sakura pen.
Plain white card folded and cut to 6x6. Image matted with plain black card.

I bought this Elzybells stamp just before they closed down. You may have noticed by now that I don't usually do cute, but I do have the occasional cute stamps, not many though LOL.
Again, coloured with Copics then cut with Spellbinders as is the red mat.
Pearlised white card embossed with Embossalicious 6x6 folder, then edge inked with Memento inkpad :o)

Christmas 55 and 56, penguins

Not been able to blog for a few days, Blogger didn't want me to!!!!!

One of my friends on DC challenged me to do a penguin merged card and I didn't have any digis, but I did have photographs, my own of course. So, I made the first card, then I found some penguins on Karen's Doodles and although they are not Christmas ones, I think they fit in quite well LOL.

Here are both cards, I hope you like :o)

First card is two photographs merged and the second one is, of course, photograph and digi image merged, then coloured with copics and a smidgin of Glamour Dust added.
Sentiments are computer generated.
Both cards are plain white card folded and cut to 7x5.
First one has a textured pewter mat and the second one a plain black mat.
Diecut corner on second one is Memory Box :o)

8x8 commissioned vows renewal card.....

.....for the same couple that I did the previous one (scroll down to see it).

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world, hugs for those who need or want them {{{{{hugs}}}}}

I had a request by text for this one, my customer was so pleased with the first one I did for her :o)

I cut two pieces of plain white card to 8x8, scored one 1" in and attached to the other with DS tape. This forms the base card.
I cut white pearlised card to size and embossed with A4 Embossalicious Hessian folder, then layered onto the base card.
I printed out Mo Manning's image of Jack and Ginger, and coloured them with copics.
I cut the image and mat with Spellbinders Grand Nesities. The mat is a scrap of textured pewter card from PDA.
Flower cut from a scrap of yellow textured card with Tim Holtz Tattered floral die, and the leaves cut with Memory Box die.
Computer generated sentiment punched with SU.
Border inside punched with Martha Stewart.
same digi image ant text printed inside with MS Word :o)
