70th birthday card for a friend.....

.....using his own boat!
Good morning everyone, it's raining here but never mind, I don't usually let the rain bother me.
I have to make this a quick post today as I have to play taxi driver for my Granddaughter at 9am! My offering today is a very simple one one layer card, I hope you like it :o)

The boat is owned by the recipient and he didn't know I had taken a photograph of it 3 years ago when they were moored just a few miles from me and I visited them. He was chuffed to bits :o)
I feathered the photograph in PSP and printed it straight onto grey Bazzill and added the sentiment in Word, then cut and folded to 5x7. I have printed the same image, reduced in size,  on the insert. That is all there is to it :o)

Gorgeous card Jackie I bet he was thrilled that you had used his boat , great work .
I once had a holiday on a six berth canal boat with an ex boyfriend .
I thought it would be fab just cruising along the canals and eagerly said yes I will come, it turned out it was just the two of us and this boat was huge it was so long ....,and I had not thought about locks at all.
So when he jumped off the boat to go up and move the lock gates, I was left steering the boat into each lock and waiting for the water to rise or fall , in a huge boat on my own and I was petrified , we went through 11 locks !!
