Good morning everyone, I hope the weather is being kind to you today :o)

On a friend's card to another friend, I noticed there was a cotton bobbin and it occured to me that I may be able to adapt it for all my loose bits of ribbon, which I mostly buy in 2m lengths. Anyway, I had a little play in SCAL, as you do, and here is the result.

I am quite chuffed with myself so I can go off to work with a smile on myself, or maybe that's going a bit too far LOL.

These are cut at 3" from top to bottom but you can cut them any size you like. You could group colours together, or types, but do wind the ribbon loosely or it will crease :o)

Oh dear, what a load of baubles

Good morning Bloggers, or maybe just 'morning' as it's far from good! It is blowing a gale and lashing rain this morning, not that I am complaining because we do desperately need it (the rain, not the wind). It's a great reason to shut myself in the craftroom :o)

I am sorry to say it is yet more Christmas cards and yes, even more baubles. My aim is 100 Christmas cards by the end of this month :o)

I have got 68 so far so only 32 to go, or is that 62 with 38 to go LOL.

All bauble except the blue were cut on the Cricut, the blue one cut with Sizzix die :o)

Methinks that these work better

Thank you so much for your opinions on my previous uploads. I am inclined to agree so I did these two on some HOTP papers from an old (about 5 years or so) wedding pad. I think they work much better :o)

Once again the white shows up better on here, but IRL the silver shows up more than it does in the picture. Must search through my stash now to find some different colours :o)

Not too sure that these work.....

.....I would love your opinions. Do they work on patterned paper, or is it just that this paper is a bit too bold, maybe a more subtle paper would be better! I would love your opinions

Two cards from another new toy

Good morning everyone, I hope that September is treating you well so far. I can't believe it is the weekend again already!

These are cards made with another new toy, namely a Papermania 5x7 embossing folder. It's perfect for making very simple cards in a hurry. You can also get a matching stamp set but I didn't buy that!

I embossed each twice then cut out some of the elements then popped them on sticky foam pads. I added a couple of snowflakes to the first one too. Gave them both a coloured mat and 'Voila' that's all there is to it :o)

Two more Cricut cards

Good morning Bloggers, I hope you are all well or nearly there.

I have been playing with the Cricut and SCAL again. I have so many files to explore and yesterday I found this card to cut out. Not too sure if it works as a Christmas card but heyho, I'll try anything once as long as it legal and not harmful, that's my motto :o)

The baubles are also an SVG file. Sorry to say that I can't say whose they are because I forgot to name them when I saved them :o( The snowflakes are from a Mcgill punch and I "cuttlebugged" them and the nestie shape on the white card. The gold card is from stash and is embossed. That's it, so simple :o)

Two cards from new toy

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well with everyone.

I had a lazy day on Sunday and went out hither and thither and of course I happened upon a craft shop ;o) 

One of my new toys was a pair of Tim Holtz tree embossing folders and I love them! Here are two very simple cards made using them.

I used Papermania card blanks, yes, shock horror, you did read that right, I actually bought a set ofcard blanks and envelopes instead of folding my own and they are kraftcard and they are fab! The only other materials/tools I have used are SU stamps and a scrap of copper mirri card from stash. I will upload cards made using another of my new toys another day.

Christmas conveyor belt

Good morning Bloggers. Bank holiday weekend or not I have to work today and Monday, but I hope you all have a great weekend and that it's not too wet for you :o)

I have been steadily making Christmas cards since January but I realised that all of a sudden it's just around the corner and I have nowhere near enough cards ready. For that reason I settled on one stamp heat embossed in different colours to make several simple cards, all 7x5 - 6 complete so far but another 10 to put together!

I am doing 2 of each colour, the other one I completed is the same colour as one I uploaded some time ago. This stamp is just perfect to make lots of simple cards in a hurry :o)

More playing on the Cricut

Good morning Bloggers, I hope you're all well or getting there :o)

I've been playing with SCAL again and designed the fat snowman and his hat, and the snow family and I am quite happy with them. Sorry about the shadows, the sun was quite strong.

I am not so sure about the cards but I just wanted to use the snowmen! Hopefully I'll do better next time LOL.

I used Peachy Keen face stamps on them coloured with copics. I found this ancient HOTP paper from stash :o)

One I made earlier and forgot to post

Good morning everyone, the sun is shining and it's wall to wall blue skies at the moment, but thankfully not hot. I don't know what happened to the downpour we were supposed to get yesterday!

Anyway, on to my card, which I made a couple of weeks ago and promptly forgot about it (another senior moment)!

It's another basically quite simple card.

Cut and folded white card to 6x6

Green card from old HOTP Christmas stack

Stamped at a friend's house so don't know the make. Coloured with copics then cut with Xcut nestie, then sponged edges.

Ribbon scrap from stash

Woodware sentiment, bent onto the block,  with tiny hand drawn flower, and that's all there is to it apart from the copic coloured string of pearls :o)
