And now for something different

A very good friend and I like to challenge each other to making scrapbook pages. Due to all sorts of things happening we haven't done one since last year, but we are back in business now :o)
The criteria (for one page) was, 2 photographs, brads and/or eyelets and must be autumn colours. I decided to do a DLO :o)
I used my favourite Bazzill for the background card on both, and brayered a sheet of hammered white to add as a border. Printed the titles in Word Art onto parchment and tore it then inked the edges. The big swirls I cut at Viv's house a couple of weeks ago, thank you Viv :o) All the leaves are punched. Oh, nearly forgot to mention the brads and eyelets :o)
My apologies, the first one is quite blurred, don't know what went wrong!

If at first you don't succeed.....

Well I managed this time to get more than one photograph into a post :o)
These are cards I made using images from our first Animals CD, the tiger one is for Pat's husband's birthday soon. I didn't think the velvet ricrac looked too feminine:o)
All of the backing papers are designed using the colours from the specific animal, but some are interchangeable. As you can see I have also let loose with the Cuttlebug embossing folders. I just lurve those folders :o)
Many of the images on this CD are suitable for man cards!

Difficulty uploading

I have to give up on this one for the time being and get ready for work! I am having problems uploading at the moment! Why is life never smooth?

A few cards from our Animals CD1

This is one I made using a topper from the CD. I added Cuttlebugged panel and blue spotty ribbon.

Back to work!

My week off work has sadly come to and end :o(
BUT, I have had a fantastic week visiting and crafting with like minded friends, a great evening at Derby Dabblers club and a lovely afternoon at a Stamping Up workshop. To cap it all I have spent a small fortune in the crafting shops so I really do need to go back to work and earn a few more pennies :o)

Friday 7 November 2008

These are my efforts from our get together yesterday at Viv's. Many thanks to Viv for showing us how to get the effects on the tree card.
The second one is my first attempt at brayering thanks to Dizzy Di showing us how for which many thanks.
The day was perfect, good food, good company and an excellent hostess :o)

Fun day

Good morning everyone,

I am off to visit friends for a fun packed crafting get together and I am sooooooooo looking forward to it as I haven't seen them for a while. Not sure that many cards will be made because we spend most of the day chinwagging and laughing but come home enriched with the experience. What a lovely lot of crafting friends I have :o)

Bronze Calla

Thought I'd have a go at placing this one differently :o)

Bronze Calla photograph I took at a local garden centre. Pat created the topper and the baking paper, I made the card.

Anemone card

Good morning everyone, I am pleased to see this lot didn't disappear overnight :o)

Made this one using one of the toppers from the Anemone folder on the Summer Flowers CD, matted onto red glittercard. I took the photograph in my daughter's garden and Pat created the topper from it.

Clematis

Well the first one worked so I am on a roll now :o) Here is another one from the Summer Flowers CD.
I made this card for my aunt to give to her daughter (my cousin) for her birthday. I took the clematis photograph in the recipients own garden and she was delighted with it :o) Both topper and paper were designed by me.

Card made using Summer Flowers CD

Cactus topper created by me, backing paper created by Pat, as was the striped frame. Mat is Bazzill cardstock, added a bit of ribbon.

First timer, please be gentle with me

I am very new to blogging and have no idea what I am doing :o)

I love going out on "photo shoots" and take thousands of photographs which my friend Pat and I use to design card toppers and papers and create CDs for crafters to use. Pat has also started taking photographs too so between us we have quite a comprehensive collection. We are called J & P Pictures and can be found at

As soon as I work out how to do it I will upload some of my cards made from our first CD which is called Summer Flowers.

You may use my ideas/designs to make cards but please do not submit them to other publications/blogs without acknowledging where your inspiration came from. All the contents of this blog remain my copyright and must not be copied in any form without my permission.
