Last two cards of the season...

...just making a start on Christmas 2016 LOL.

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world and your Christmas plans are coming together...big hugs.

I had a peek out of the window and it is very dark but dry out there so far (everything crossed it stays dry but I doubt it)

I decided to save a couple of my robin cards for the end :o)

Both basecards are approx 6x6, folded and cut from A4 sheets of white linencard from The Range.
Both red and white pearlised cards are from PDA, the red one has been embossed with 8x8 Crafters Companion Leaf Vein folder, and the white one with 8x8 Embossalicious holly folder.
I gave the white one a light  dusting with chalk.
Both robins are my own photographs of course, the first one being played with in PSE5 and the second on in PSP7. Both were cut with Die-namics stitched circle dies.
Computer generated sentiments, the first one was cut with Die-namics stitched Fishtail die.
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas :o)

Robins x 4

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there, and that you are warm and dry...hugs

OMG how the temperature plummeted last night, down to 1c when I left my friend's at about 10pm! Since then the heavens have opened and the rain is practically horizontal, the wind has gone to gale force again!!!

My title? Well I am uploading 4 robin cards but they are 4 different robins too, taken at various times at Attenborough Nature Reserve and St. Chad's Water.
Basecards are 7x5 and 6x6 ish.

All basecards are white linencard from The Range, folded and cut to size.
All images feathered in PSP7, but starburst created in PSE5, then printed in MS Word onto same linencard and three of the sentiments printed at the same time using various fonts. One sentiment printed in Word then punched with SU.
Panelled layer on third card is pearlised card, embossed with Embossalicious folder.
Diecut on last card cut with Memory Box die.
Pearls coloured with Copic marker pen :o)

Christmas 16

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or recovering from whatever ails you...hugs.

Back to Christmas for my card today :o)

My usual white linencard folded and cut to 6x6, although I should really say  cut to fit into a 6x6 envelope!
Same card used to print my manipulated robin photograph, which I took at St Chad's Water about 3 years ago.
I opened my photograph in PSE5 to give it the swirly frame, and took the colour from the robin to give it a hint of red.
Cut with Spellbinders die, and matted onto a Marianne die.

Stamped sentiment, sorry it's old and has no name :o)

8x8 commissioned card, own photographs

Good morning Bloggers, I hope that all is well in your world...hugs

When I went in to work at teatime yesterday it was positively mild, when I came out about 10pm it was -2C and I had to scrape the car Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

My card for today is a commissioned 8x8 70th birthday card which had to feature fishing and booze! So, out came the photographs and I had a little play in PSP and PSE5 and here is the result, front and inside.

I took the photograph of the anonymous man fishing on the Erewash canal at Long Eaton several years ago and used the cookie cutter tool in PSE5 to give himDie- the swirly frame.
The trout at the top inside was taken at Lathkill dale about 5 years ago and the pike at the bottom was taken at Cromford Wharf even more years ago.
Computer generated sentiments using Dauphin font, cut with Die-namics stitched fishtail die.
Fishy stamps from a very old SeeDs set and beer stamp from Personal Impressions. The customer wont see it before tonight so I hope she likes it!  :o)

Christmas 15, a different robin

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

My card for today features another one of my robin photographs. This one was taken at St. Chads Water, a little reserve about 3 miles from where I live.  It's a lovely spot to sit and read on a summer afternoon. I have mentioned it quite often but never thought to put a link on before, very remiss of me!

My usual white linencard for the base, folded and cut to 6x6.
I opened my photograph inPSE5 and used the cookie cutter to create the topper, taking the colour from the robin for the starburst, then printed it onto the same linencard before cutting it and the mat with Spellbinders die.
I was lucky enough to find a 12x12 DCWV page, which matched the colour beautifully,
in my stash.
Corners cut with Memory Box snowflake die then cut into two.
That's all there is to it folks :o)

Commissioned sympathy

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well in your world...hugs
When I went to work yesterday afternoon I had to defrost the car (teatime) when I left work at 10.25pm, the frost was all gone!!! How changeable our weather is LOL.

My cousin asked me to make her some sympathy cards as she only has one left. I must say it is so much easier to make them when they are not needed! She loves CAS and flowers so these are what I came up with.

Not much to say about them really except that of course, they are my own photographs, played with in PSP7 and PSE 5, and I used Dauphin font for the sentiments :o)

A welcome and a few from own photographs

Good morning Bloggers. I would like to welcome new follower Karen, thank you for joining me :o)
Last Sunday I went to Attenborough Nature Reserve and for the first time saw a couple of herons fishing there. Unfortunately they were too far away to see the fish in their mouths very well but it was a great experience. I also managed to take pics of a ladybug and a great crested grebe so of course I had to make cards with them :o)

They are very simple cards, and no sentiments until I know who I will be giving them to.
I opened the heron and grebe photographs in PSE5 to give them a swirly frame, then in PSP11 to give them the other frames. I popped the birds with Collall 3D glue. The mat on the ladybug card its corrugated card from PDA. The leaf vine is a Memory Box die :o)

One photograph = 6 cards

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well with you and yours.
This is my last day of freedom, I have to go back to work tomorrow. I cannot believe how fast the week has flown by!
On to my cards for today, all made using the same photograph which I took last year at Wollaton Park, Nottingham.

I gave the photograph different frames in PSE 5. The basecards were cut and folded from linen card, one is A6, one is 6x6 and the rest are 7x5. Three of the pics were handcut and the rest cut with nesties and all are matted onto Bazzill. Flourishes, foliage and corners were cut with Memory Box, Cheery Lyn and Provocraft :o)

Set of 4 very simple crocus cards

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well with you :o)
This is a set I made using my crocus photographs taken at the same time as the birds (see previous post) last week at St Chad's Water. I do go to St Chad's Water  often as it is only about 3 miles away from me. When I just want to get a bit of fresh air for half an hour or so it is very peaceful and tranquil there.

I have long thought of making a set using the card suit shapes but never got around to it until now.
I opened the photograph in PSE5,  cropped the shapes and saved as PNGs, then printed and hand cut them out, stuck them on to yellow card then hand cut again.
Base card is white linen cut and folded to 6x6, then layers with orange card and Kay&Co paper which I bought nearly 7 years ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Leaf vine die is from Memory Box and the sentiment stamp is from Stamps and Smiles.
I am quite pleased with the results, I hope you are too :o)

Another digi page + a welcome

Good morning everyone, I hope you are looking out on the same lovely blue skies as I am and there is no wind for a change.
First up this morning is a welcome to new follower Brenda, lovely to see you :o)
My offering for today is another digi scrapbook page of my Greatgrandson Ryan
on his 2nd birthday. He was covered in chocolate!

I am quite getting into this digi page way of scrapbooking althought it will never replace the hands on kind. Methinks that when I have completed enough pages of Ryan I will print them out and make up a book for him to have as a keepsake of his early years :o)
I created the backing and text in PSP and the small inset in PSE5.
The grass is also from PSE5. The gingerbread border, palm tree and monkey were created by my very good friend Pat :o)

Another digi scrapbook page

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all warm and well after all the snow over the weekend!
This is my second attempt at digi scrapbooking, still haven't made up my mind about it but at least I am not wasting any papers while I am trying LOL.

This photograph of me was taken by my Granddaughter Sian (she was only 15 at the time) using my camera. I created the stamp image in PSE5. The dragonfly, flutterby and rose photograps were taken by me and tubed by my friend PatPage was created in PSP11 :o)

My very first ever.....

.....digital scrapbook pages!
Good morning everyone, I hope the snow hasn't reached you yet.  It's not arrived here yet, but it's still very white with the thick frost overnight Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
On to my digi pages then, never tried them before but as so many folks are doing them I thought I would have a go :o)
Not too sure of them but as they are my first I am reasonably happy.

My Great Grandson Ryan during the summer of 2007.
I used my own sunflower photograph, tubed by my very good friend Pat, to build up a field of them fronted by Pat's fence, and added Pat's scroll. I opened the photographs in PSE5 to frame them and created the pages, including the text,  in PSP11 :o)
