A bit of Christmas humour

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all warm, well, and not being blown about. I haven't looked out yet to see what happening but the wind sure is noisy!  I hope that all those peeps in Scotland without power are soon restored...hugs

Thank you for identifying the dies used on my CAS Christmas tree cards a couple of posts ago. I have now put a bid in for them and I am waiting to see if I win!
As for the trapezoid frames, I 'found' them at a friend's house last night and we did a swap so I now have them, and she has what she wants in exchange LOL.

I 'rediscovered' Greetings Card Factory on my computer (not used it for years) and found the image I have used inside this card, so I knew what I wanted to do with it as soon as I saw it. I had previously created the base card and cut the window in it, then put it aside because I didn't know what to do with it!

Basecard is Papermill white hammered, folded and cut to 6x6, then window cut with Cheery Lynn Die.
Trees cut with Lea'bilities and Stars with Memory Box dies.
Unfortunately I can't remember how I converted the image to print it in Word, which means it will be a one off :o)

Blue Hydrandea...

...and yes, I am still using my bits. The only thing new about this is the base card!

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs.

Once again, my card for today is made up from my bits boxes LOL.

Base card is my usual white linen, folded and cut to 7x5.
Hydrandgea stamp is an old one from Rubber Stampede.
Coloured with Sakura Gelly Roll Stardust pens, a shame that you can't see the sparkle in the photograph.
Foliage is Cheery Lynn diecuts.
Made the topper some years ago and them lost it, but now it is found LOL.

Poppy window card

Good morning everyone. I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs

The cold sores are finally clearing up, and not a moment too soon, they've been driving me mad with itching!

How slow everything is today, must be all those folks shopping online at the last minute!!!

Did you notice that I didn't mention any bits in the title? But there are still some bits on my card for today LOL.

I had to take the photograph in artificial light so the colour is bad. The card is really white on white but it looks more like ivory or cream here!
All but the poppy photograph inside is from the bits boxes on this one, even the base card with the window cut out! Window die is from Cheery Lynn, had it a couple of years or more and totally forgot about it. Other diecuts are from Memory Box.

This is the original of my photograph inside the card, taken at Barnsdale Gardens in the summer of 2011 and as you can see, the sun was shining :o)

Yet another bits card

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

I didn't manage to get on here at all yesterday so I have some catching up to do! All of a sudden Christmas is nearly upon us EEEEEEEK!

It happens very rarely, but last night I had and extremely rude customer, whatever happened to the spirit of goodwill? Other customers were as shocked as I was!

Thank you so much for all the well wishes, and the tips for my cold sores, several involving perfume and Zovirax, but once they have developed it is too late and they have to run their course. The small one at the side of my nose has finally gone but the other one is much bigger and harder to shift.

Anyhow, here is my card for today and yes, it's another one from the bits boxes, I WILL get to the bottom of them eventually LOL.

The only new thing on this one is the basecard, which is ivory linencard, and that's only new in the sense that I folded and cut it to 7x5 especially, but I have had the card in stash for about 5 years!
Pearlised card from PDA embossed with Tied Together folder.
Flower cut on the Cricut.
Diecut foliage from Cheery Lynn.
Sentiment is, I think, and old one from Penny Black, stamped onto an offcut from one of my earlier aperture cards.
Flatbacked sticky pearls from stash and coloured with Copics :o)

Made from scraps

Good morning everyone, it may be dull but it's still very warm! I hope all is well in your world, Hugs.

My exciting news today is that I have bought me a new car, well, new to me. My trusty little V reg Suzuki is a real old lady now at nearly 16, and very low so difficult and painful for me to get into and out of.  I have bought an 04 reg Peugeot 307 turbo diesel which is nearly twice the size and it purrs like a kitten, but best of all, I can get into and out of it much more easily. I will be picking it up on Thursday and Stephen doesn't have any therapy that day so I will get time to play with my new toy LOL.

On to my card for today. Nothing new was harmed in the making of it. Even the inkpad I used it 7 years old! :o)

Base card is white hammered from Papermill Direct years ago (I had one of those huge boxes full!), folded and cut to 6x6.
I covered it with a scrap of Basic Grey paper, also from years ago, which I had first inked around the edges.
Flower cut from same paper with Tim Holtz Tattered Floral die, then inked before being attached with a gem brad.
Foliage cut with Cheery Lynn dies from a scrap of card from PDA.
Sentiment stamped with My Creative Time and the tiny dragonfly stamp is from a set of 40 in a box that I have had for aeons and never think to use!  :o)

Remember that gardenia?.....

.....here is another one, same plant, different bloom. I took the photograph at Elvaston Castle in August 2007.

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world Hugs.

For my card today, I have used another of my gardenia photographs. Very simple design.

Base card is white linen, folded and cut to 7x5.
Photograph printed onto the same linen card, then cut with Spellbinder Nesties.
Green card used for the foliage is from some I bought way back in 2009 at the Edinburgh Woollen Mill Shop in Cheddar Gorge, my stock is dwindling now!
Foliage cut with Cheery Lynn dies.
Sentiment stamped and punched with SU.
I hope you like :o)

Back to my photographs.....

.....I can't stay away from them for long LOL.

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs. It's really dark and very wet this morning here in the East Midlands!

I have changed my avatar for the same one I use on DC. It is a photograph that my Granddaughter took of me at Elvaston Castle in 2007, back when I could walk better!

On to my card for today, which is a very simple one :o)

This is a different cosmos photograph than the one uploaded previously, although it was the same plant.
As usual, I have folded and cut my favourite white linen card to 7x5 for the base card.
Photograph printed onto the same linen card, then cut with Spelbinders, as is the pink mat, which is a scrap of Papermania textured card.
Foliage cut with Cheery Lynn from another scrap of PM card.
Sentiment is from an old Stamps and Smiles set :o)

Last of my aperture cards for the time being

Good morning all, I hope you have a wonderful Easter Day, hugs.
Sorry it's sucha  short post, it hurts to sit here for too long!

Today's offering is #4 of 4 so no more aperture cards for at least a little while :o)

The materials and method are the same for this one as for the others so I won't go over them again. Please scroll down if you haven't seen the others :o)

#3 of my 4 aperture cards

Good morning everyone, lovely sunshine here to start the day with, I hope it's the same for you wherever you are. Hugs to those who need or want them :o)

Here is another of my 4 aperture cards, I am spacing them out so you don't get fed up with them LOL.

Although doesn't look like it on here, this is an ivory and brown card.
Papermill Direct linen card folded and cut to 7x5.
Apperture cut with octogon shaped Spellbinder Nestie.
Lattice diecut with Cheery Lynn die.
Flutterby cut with Marianne die.
I inked the edge of the flutterby with Copic pen to give definition against the background.
Unlike the others cards,  my flutterby photographs didn't lend themselves well to converting to sepia so I have just put one of my daisy photographs inside.
Flutterby stamp is from a set by Lyndsay Mason, card candy from stash :o)

8x8 rocker card for a friend who is leaving to go back to America.....

.....because the Border Agency, in their wisdom (not), decreed that after 12 years of being legal here, working and paying her taxes, she has suddenly become an illegal alien!!!!! Our crafting group will miss her very much :o(  Bon Voyage Brenda.

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world. {{{{{hugs}}}}} for those who need or want them.

Strangely enough, I didn't make this card specially for my friend, but when she saw it she loved it so much that I decided that would be the one to give to her, even the lily is weeping for her :o)

All card used is Papermania textured.
Own photograph of course.
Spellbinder Grand Nesties used for nearly all the card cutting, plus Cheery Lynn foliage die.
Nothing else I can say about it really so I hope you like it :o)

Amaryllis

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all warm and well, here's a few hugs for those who need or want them {{{{{hugs}}}}}

I have to take Stephen to Long Eaton for his speech therapy this morning.

My card for today is very blingy compared to what I usually make. I usually like lots of white space, but I am happy with this one for a change :o)
My very good friend Pauline and her hubby Rob bought me this beautiful Amaryllis for Christmas, and it had two stems, one with two flower heads on it and this one with 4 heads, and what beauties they were too.

All card used is white linen from Papermill Direct,  white pearlised from ? and red Papermania textured.
I put the pearlised card through the Big Shot with the Couture Collection (I think) Tied Together embossing folder.
Own photograph of course, printed onto linen card.
Cheery Lynn foliage die used.
I coloured the white pearls with Copic marker pen.
Not really anything else I can say about it :o)

Birthday card for a friend

Good morning everyone, here I am at stoopid o'clock. Can't sleep cuz I'm coughing fit to bust! I hope all is well with everyone, and that the floods didn't get any worse {{{{{hugs}}}}}
My card for today was for my very good friend PatEssex (Docrafts), whose birthday was last week.

White hammered card from The Paper Mill Shop was folded and cut to 7x5 for the base card. For the main panel, I swiped dewdrop inkpads over a piece of plain white card, a technique I have copied from The lovely Elizabeth (Silver Scrapper).
Then I stamped with a mixture of stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black and London Fog.
Flutterbies were punched with Martha Stewart and the foliage is from a Cheery Lynn die, and mounted onto a dull silver mat :o)

Vellum poinsettia, my second Christmas card for this year

Good morning everyone. Oh boy did we have the daddy of all storms overnight, the rain was coming down like stair rods! I hope you are all dry, warm and flood free...hugs
I wanted to see what the poinsettia would looked like in vellum so here it is, the jury is still out!

White linen card folded and cut to approx. 6x6, then cut aperture with Nestie.
Own photograph inside printed onto Papermania textured card and cut with same Nestie.
Marianne poinsettia, Cheery Lynn and Memory Box leaf dies.
Will add sentiment when needed :o)

Spotty flower card

Good morning everyone on this very frosty start to Sunday. I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs.
I hope that 2014 brings everyone good health and happiness.
Stephen had a lovely surprise from the taxman, a nice fat refund of several hundred pounds, what a wonderful Christmas present for him. Had to chuckle though, he received the refund one day then the next day a letter saying he would be getting it! :o)
Right, onto my card for today!

White PMS hammered card folded and cut to 7x5 then layered with green card and white pearlised card embossed with Embossalicious A4 folder.
Cheery Lynn lattice also cut from the same pearlised card.
Leaves cut with my new Memory Box die.
Flower punched with McGill from MME paper and finished off with brad from stash topped with a tiny dragonfly punched with Xcut :o)

Glittery poppies

Good morning everyone. I hope all is well in your world and that you are safe from these awful weather conditions...hugs
Did you all have a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones? I had a very quiet and restful one, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I spent some time Christmas morning with my grandson Ben and great-grandson Ryan, then onto my daughter Susan's to spend time with her and her partner Rob, and granddaughter Sian, then home to cook lunch and spend the rest of the day with Stephen :o)

On to my card for today. Not too sure about those glittery poppies but heyho, we can't win 'em all LOL.

I folded and cut PMS white hammered card to 6x6.
Memory Box poppies cut from plain green card and red glitter card.
Although it looks coppery here, the background pointy Nestie circle is gold mirri card.
Cheery Lynn trellis is framed with Nestie plain circles.
White pearls coloured with copic pen :o)

Different robin this time

Good morning everyone, I hope you all have the hatches battened down ready for the big storm later! I hope that none of you will be affected badly by it...hugs.
A great reason to stay in and craft don't you think!
Stephen continues to progress, he is so determined, bless him :o)
Yet another robin card from me I'm afraid, but I promise there will be something different for the next one LOL.

I had an accident with this one, dropped the inked stamp and it landed on the right edge so I had to cut it off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not too much damage but it means I have lost the right border. Not too sure if it looks unfinished!
I used white linen card folded and cut to 7x5.
White pearlised card embossed with A4 Embossalicious folder.
Dies used are Nesties and Cheery Lynn. Robin photograph printed as usual onto Papermania textured card. words are from an ancient SeeDs stamp set which I found whilst moving my craft room :o)

Black and white. You've seen the photographs now here are the cards

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world, and if it isn't then I hope it soon will be...hugs.
I couldn't make up my mind whether to make cards with these photographs but several of you made it up for me and here are the results :o)

Unfortunately, the first one looks a bit washed out in the pic but it is just as black as the second one. Both photographs are printed onto my favourite Papermania textured card then the first cut with guillotine and the second cut with Grand Nesties. Both are layered onto white linen card folded to A5. Foliage dies used are Marianne, Cheery Lynn and Sissix :o)

New TH die

Good morning everyone, what a gloriously sunny Easter day it is here near Derby, I hope you have the same wherever you are.
This is my first card using my new TH Tattered Florals die and I am quite pleased with it :o)

I created my own background again for this one. Same method as on my previous card but using a different M-Bossability A4 folder.
Card blank is PDA card from stash, folded and cut to 6x6.
Dies used are TH, Cheery Lynn, Memory Box and SU punches and stamp.
I cut the flower from a scrap of music paper found in a drawer, then brayed it with the same Big and Juicy inkpad that I did the backing with :o)
