Jack and Ginger

Good morning everyone, it's not often that I post on a Monday but for some reason I forgot to post yesterday! Call it another senior moment LOL. I hope you are all well or getting there, and that you are flood free, hugs

This is a card for the box and a sentiment will be added if and when required. I think it's suitable for anniversary or renewal of vows

I used the same embossing folder as my previous card.
Base card is white hammered from Papermill Direct, folded and cut to 6x6.
Embossed panel inked round the edges with an old Versafine inkpad.
Jack and Ginger digi imafe from Mo Manning, coloured with Caran D'Ache watercolour pencils, then cut with Marianne die and layered onto pewter textured card mat.
No embellishments, I didn't want to detract from the image :o)

8x8 Commissioned vows renewal

Good morning everyone, I am so sorry that I have not been commenting, I am guilty of taking time out to play with my new car and yes, I am loving it :o) I will endeavor to catch up with your posts in the next few days!

Believe it or not, 7 months after applying for P.I.P. for Stephen, the DWP representatives finally came to see him on Friday. So now we wait yet again to see if he will be allowed to have this extra money to give him independence!

I hope all is well with everyone, hugs.

On to my card for today. If you think it looks familiar, it's because I have used the front of a round card I made previously as I thought the image was perfect for the occasion. Please ignore the coaster on the inside, that is just to cover the private message :o)

For once I didn't make my own card blank, this is from a pack of Papermania 8x8 blanks. I embossed the front with an 8x8 Embossalicious folder then attached the front from another card and added the flower, sentiment  and bling.
The digi image is from Mo Manning, printed onto plain white smooth card then coloured with Caran D'Ache watercolour pencils.
All coloured card is Bazzill Basics.
Daisy cut with Sizzix Bigz dies from plain white card, then the petal tips inked with an ancient Colour Box pad which was just the right colour.
Foliage cut with Memory Box and McGill.
Inside border cut with Spellbinder.
Image and inside panels also cut with Spellbinder.
Sentiment is computer generated the cut with SU punches.
Pins unknown.

Made from scraps

Good morning everyone, it may be dull but it's still very warm! I hope all is well in your world, Hugs.

My exciting news today is that I have bought me a new car, well, new to me. My trusty little V reg Suzuki is a real old lady now at nearly 16, and very low so difficult and painful for me to get into and out of.  I have bought an 04 reg Peugeot 307 turbo diesel which is nearly twice the size and it purrs like a kitten, but best of all, I can get into and out of it much more easily. I will be picking it up on Thursday and Stephen doesn't have any therapy that day so I will get time to play with my new toy LOL.

On to my card for today. Nothing new was harmed in the making of it. Even the inkpad I used it 7 years old! :o)

Base card is white hammered from Papermill Direct years ago (I had one of those huge boxes full!), folded and cut to 6x6.
I covered it with a scrap of Basic Grey paper, also from years ago, which I had first inked around the edges.
Flower cut from same paper with Tim Holtz Tattered Floral die, then inked before being attached with a gem brad.
Foliage cut with Cheery Lynn dies from a scrap of card from PDA.
Sentiment stamped with My Creative Time and the tiny dragonfly stamp is from a set of 40 in a box that I have had for aeons and never think to use!  :o)

What a difference a blue badge makes.....

Good morning everyone on this glorious wall to wall blue sky and sunshiny start to the day, I hope it's the same where you are...hugs

As many of you know, I have not been able to take my cameras walkies for about 15 months due to not being able to walk much nowadays, but my shiny new blue badge has made it possible for me to visit Elvaston Castle Country Park (virtually my local park) for the first time in quite a while. I only took my small camera this time but I so enjoyed it. These are just a few of the photographs I took while I was shuffling around :o)

Maybe not the best I've ever taken but the enjoyment I got was tremendous :o)
The formal gardens are Grade 2 listed.
If you follow the path on photograph 3, you eventually arrive at the magnificent Golden Gates, brought back from the Napoleonic wars by the then Earl of Harrinton.
Remember those gardenia photographs, well the bush they grow on is on photograph 7, no blooms yet as it is a tad early for them, but I hope to be back there in Aug when they are in bloom again because those flowers are spectacular!

Commissioned set of 6, own photographs

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there, Hugs.

OMG did we have thunderstorms yesterday!!! The rain was coming down in stair rods and bouncing up off the road, and of course, it was whilst Stephen was out making his own way to the hospital, which he did okay. Thank you for your lovely messages about him and his progress :o)

Onto my cards for today, 6 of them, commissioned by my cousin. She loves my one layer photograph cards and uses them instead of letters!

All of them are printed onto white linen card from Papermill Direct, folded and cut to 7x5.
All photographs taken by me at various places and various times between 2007 and 2013.
I hope you like :o)

Remember that gardenia?.....

.....here is another one, same plant, different bloom. I took the photograph at Elvaston Castle in August 2007.

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world Hugs.

For my card today, I have used another of my gardenia photographs. Very simple design.

Base card is white linen, folded and cut to 7x5.
Photograph printed onto the same linen card, then cut with Spellbinder Nesties.
Green card used for the foliage is from some I bought way back in 2009 at the Edinburgh Woollen Mill Shop in Cheddar Gorge, my stock is dwindling now!
Foliage cut with Cheery Lynn dies.
Sentiment stamped and punched with SU.
I hope you like :o)

You've seen the blue set, now here is the red set

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs.
I opened the curtains this morning and what did I see? Yes, rain, rain and more rain :o(
Oh well, there's nothing we can do about it so we may as well make the best of it!

I am off to Long Eaton this morning to take Stephen for his speech therapy.
I took him for his neuro therapy on Tuesday and he is doing so well that they asked him to make his own way there next week to see if he can plan a journey okay.  He goes out every day and uses his bus pass a lot, but he just gets on the bus to anywhere without planning, so they are really testing him now. No doubt I will be on tenterhooks while he is gone but I am sure that he will be alright (says she biting on her knuckles, LOL)

Anyhow, time to get onto my cards for today. I said when I posted the blue set that I was thinking of making a red set too, and here they are, or at least some of them!

All base cards are white hammered from the Papermill shop years ago, folded and cut to 6x6, then apertures cut with Spellbinder's Nesties.
Papers are from stash, also from years ago. They are HOTP except for the spotty one, which is Basic Grey.
Dies used are Memory Box,  flower punches are Woodware, and poinsettia is an SVG file from Penny Duncan and cut on the Cricut.
Various stamps used with Memento inkpad.
I hope you like them :o)

Peony image printed onto the same card, coloured with Caran D'Ache watercolour pencils, then cut with Spellbinders Nestie. Mat and Memory Box leaf vine cut from Bazzill. Sentiment stamped with My Creative Time. Very simple card :o)

3 new Darice folders

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs
For the first time this week, we have woken up to wall to wall blue skies and sunshine :o)

Over the past few weeks I have bought 3 more Darice embossing folders and these are the cards made using them for the first time, I hope you like.

I love these Darice folders despite their small size, they are so clearly defined and well suited to being the main subject of the card.
All card used is from stash, folded and cut to 7x5.
It is fairly self explanatory how they were made so I won't go into detail.
Punches used are from SU, Martha Stewart, Woodware and Leone Em and Xcut.
Sentiment stamps used are from Stamps and Smiles, My Creative Time and ?
