Grand-daughter's money wallet

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world and you have survived the festivities...hugs

I spent Christmas money on a new 1 Tb external hard drive because my old one was making very funny noises and I didn't want to risk losing my 20,000+ photographs. It took me 5 hours to get everythning transferred from the old to the new but I can breathe easily again now, thank goodness. I keep everything on the ext. drive, I save nothing at all to the computer or laptop drives. I also have a backup drive, just in case LOL.

It's a while since I used my photographs, and as my Grand-daughter Sian likes CAS and unfussy (no flowers) I thought this would be just right for her. Her birthday isn't until the 11th but she doesn't look at the blogs so it's safe to show it!

The base card is my usual white linencard from The Range.
I scored the A4 sheet a 5" and 10", the folded the flap inside the card before cutting it to 7".
The church spire you see reflected in the water sits atop the parish church at Attenborough, Notts. and is where a lot of our ancestors (paternal) were baptised, married, buried.
The photograph was taken across one of the lakes at Attenborough Nature Reserve a few years ago,  as was the bulrushes photograph at a different time. My good friend PatEssex (Docrafts) tubed the bulrushed for me. I opened both pics in PSP and merged them, then added the greeting using Smarty Pants font :o)

Sorry you are stuck with me this morning!

Good morning everyone, don't forget to put your clocks back tonight!

I am still colouring for that big order, so nothing new from me today, I created this digi page a couple of years ago but not sure that I blogged it, so my apologies if I did LOL.

If you don't want to be stuck with me then now is the time to avert your eyes...

Grand-daughter Sian took this photograph with my camera. No doubt you will recognise it from my avatar. It's the on;y photograph of me that I like :o)
Background is my own paper, I used the green from my shirt to create it.
Flutterbies, dragonfly and roses are my own photographs.
Page created in Paint Shop Pro, I used Papyrus, one of my favourite fonts, for the text :o)

Two more merged images

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well with you and yours...hugs

This mornings cards are both the same winter photograph I took at Elvasto Castle in 2009, with two more Karen's Doodles images that I bought about 2010 and have just now ressurected :o)

The first is Emma Bear, but I cannot remember the name of the snow angel!
A s usual I opened my photograph in PSP and added the images then merged them.
Both are printed onto white linen card the layered onto Red and pewter card respectively and layered onto the base card, which is the same linen card folded and cut to 7x5.
Both are coloured with copic and Sakura pens.
Sentiment stamps are old ones with no name on them :o)

Birthday commission and a few pics

Good morning everyone, I hope you are not melting in the heat like I am!  Hugs.

My card for today is for a young man who has recently taking up playing golf, I hope he appreciates it (the card, that is)  :o)

Base card is, as usual, white linen from Papermill Direct, folded and cut to 7x5.
I open my photograph, taken a few years ago at Allestree Golf Course, Derby, in PSP then merged the digi image from Karen's Doodles and added the sentiment using Papyrus font.
I printed it, along with a second image, onto the same linen card.

This is what it looked like before I cut the main image to size and coloured them with Caran D'Ache watercolour pencils.
I then fussy cut the golfer and attached him to the main image and then layered it onto blue card from my scrap box.

Some of my Docrafts buddies and I have been discussing the lack of flutterbies this year but on Tuesday they were here and I managed to get a few photographs.

The first pic is a peacock flutterby, and the others are small tortoiseshell. The little beauties move so fast it was difficult to get decent pics but i managed these few :o)

Easter duck, own photograph

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all warm, dry and well...hugs
Here is my first Eater card, I fetch this little fellow out every Easter, he is one of my favourites :o) They don't come much more simple than this!

I took this photograph a few years ago and my good friend PatEssex (Docrafts) tubed him for me. I added the bow in Paint Shop Pro, and the sentiment in MS Word.  He is printed straight onto Papermania textured card then folded and cut to 7x5.

Peter's favourite corner, No 2 of my cousin's commissioned cards

Good morning everyone, I do hope you are all warm, dry and well {{{{{hugs}}}}}
This morning's offering is part of my cousin's commission for 12 cards. This one is for her OH and my photograph is of his favourite corner in his beloved garden. This is where he loves to sit with a good book and a cuppa after lunch in the summer :o)

Base card is PMS hammered white. My photograph is printed then matted onto Papermania textured card. Potted plant is SU coloured with copics then hand cut and mounted on foam pads. Sentiment added in Paint Shop Pro. A very simple card :o)

I've been playing

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs
First I must give a warm welcome to new follower Mel, thank you for joining me :o)
I have been having a play with some of my photographs and this card was made just for fun. I really enjoyed playing with the various photographs.
The main pic of the tree trunk was taken at Calke Abbey last week, as was the deer that you can just see peeking from the sides.
The teacups are my good friend PatEssex's (Docrafts), the little doll on the chair is my daughter's, I took the pic several years ago cuz I thought it might be useful one day..... the mushroom sits on a shelf in my kitchen, the dragonfly I took in my daughter's garden a few summers ago and the meerkats I took at Twycross Zoo in the dim and distant past!

It took me about 4 hours of playing and 5 minutes to make the card LOL.
here's another bit of playing.

I took this pic of the cropped tree because I thought I could see a photograph on the nice new cut. So here you have it, me!
I hope you like my playaround in Paint Shp Pro :o)

One of those cards nobody enjoys making

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs
This is my card for Sandra, a lovely lady over on Docrafts who passed away a few days ago. She was always ready to help anyone who needed it and will be sadly missed but happily remembered. R.I.P. Sandra

I wanted to keep it simple. I titled this rose 'Tears in Heaven'

Autumn for a change

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well, warm and dry.
My card for today features a photograph I took earlier this month just up the road from where I live. I was on my way to Long Eaton and had to stop and just gaze at the wonderful Autumn colour with the sun shining on them. It was truly magnificent :o)

As usual, I feathered the photograph in PSP then printed it onto Papermania textured card, then folded and cut to 5x7.
Hero Arts stamp was used for the sentiment, which is one of my favourites and was particularly relevant as I had done just that to get this picture.
The acorn die was sent to me by a friend who had two, as were the leaf diecuts :o)

Friend's birthday

Good morning Bloggers, my apologies for not visiting you for a few days! I will try and catch up over the next couple of day because on Sunday I will be out all day enjoying a craft get together with my friends. It has been very hectic here for the last few days what with Christmas shopping, car being serviced, new tyres being fitted, out to lunch 3 days this week etc. etc. etc....... life is so hard at times LOL.
Next job is to start writing Christmas cards out ready for posting! I bought all my postage stamps before they went up in April.
Anyhow, on to my card for which I used my own photograph of the recipient's own dog. I know he has received it so it's okay to show it at last and he is delighted with it :o)

Inside is a smaller photograph. As always, the photograph was feathered in PSP and printed straight onto Papermania textured card, and the sentiment added in Word, using Dauphin font :o)

Commissioned, not my photograph

Good morning Bloggers, are you all ready for the Paralympic starting tomorrow night? I know I am!
My cards this morning are just mini ones at 4x4 and the customer gave me 2 of her own photographs of her little pooch to make them with. She showed them to one of her neighbours and now that lady wants to send me her doggy pic to make some with too, and a friend wants me to make some with my own flower pics on. Could this be the start of something big LOL. All in all, about about 25 cards involved so I had better get me some more of that lovely Papermania textured card pronto :o)

I feathered the photographs in PSP as usual, then opened in Word, added the caption and printed them out on the said Papermania textured card then cut and folded to 4x4. Couldn't be much more simple :o)

Good morning Bloggers, I am off to Donington Park to spend, spend, spend today, at least that's the theory!
Unfortunately I have heard that it was utter chaos yesterday, so I am hoping they've got their act together today. I am taking a packed lunch with me cuz I also heard that there were looooooooong queues for food! Wish me luck LOL.
On to my cards, made just becuz I wanted to. They will go into my box for selling or later use.

 Achillea
 Agapanthus
 Allium
 Anemone
 Callistemon
Clematis

All the photographs were taken at Swarkestone Garden Centre last month. Basecard is Papermania Capsule Collection textured card. Photographs feathered in PSP, opened in Word, captions added using Dauphin font, then printed straight onto the cards which were then cut and folded to A6. I hope you like them :o)

70th birthday card for a friend.....

.....using his own boat!
Good morning everyone, it's raining here but never mind, I don't usually let the rain bother me.
I have to make this a quick post today as I have to play taxi driver for my Granddaughter at 9am! My offering today is a very simple one one layer card, I hope you like it :o)

The boat is owned by the recipient and he didn't know I had taken a photograph of it 3 years ago when they were moored just a few miles from me and I visited them. He was chuffed to bits :o)
I feathered the photograph in PSP and printed it straight onto grey Bazzill and added the sentiment in Word, then cut and folded to 5x7. I have printed the same image, reduced in size,  on the insert. That is all there is to it :o)

Brilliant day and a few CAS cards

Good morning everyone, what a difference the sun makes. Grab a cuppa and try not to nod off at the back please LOL. I had the most perfect day yesterday. It was my turn to host our get together and what a wonderful day it was too. As always we started the day off with bacon butties, these are obligatory to get us into the mood. Then the next obligatory thing we do is craft shopping, you cannot have a craft get together without a bit of retail therapy so off we went to Breedon on the Hill and I bought about 5 new dies so lots of playing to be done this week. We did confuse the poor girl, who was standing in for her Mum, and I think she was glad to see the back of us hehehehehe. Unlike her Mum, she is not used to us lot when we are together! Arriving back home of course the kettle went on and the home made scones, provided by Sandra, were lathered in clotted cream and topped with fresh strawberries (I am drooling just thinking about them).
Have you nodded off yet?
Crafting time had finally arrived and there was lots of laughing  but not many cards made :o)
I made a ginormous cottage pie for dinner and this was followed with Pauline's gorgeous home made black sticky gingerbread and more cream. Methinks it will take more than this week to work of those calories.....
Anyhow, time to show you my cards before you forget why you are here :o)

As usual, I have feather my photographs in PSP then printed onto Bazzill and linen card, then cut and folded to A6 apart from the peacock which is 6x6. I have shown the peacock inside to illustrate that I put the image on the insert too.
Okay, you can wake up now, I've finished :o)

Planes 'n' boats 'n' .....

.....sorry, no trains!
Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well with you and yours. Firstly, I would like to welcome May, my newest follower.
I have a selection of plane and boat CAS cards to share with you today, all of them are my own photographs of course and all feathered in PSP :o)

The planes and helicopter were taken at Duxford in 2008 and the boats at Carsington Water also in 2008.
I have shown the inside of the spitfires only, but they all have the same image inside as on the front. As you can see, some are embossed/debossed, but not all. All except the spitfires were cut with Nesties/Grand Nesties. I hope you like them :o)

Get well set

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well with you. The sun is shining here :o)
My cousin asked me to make some get well cards for her stock and she was delighted with them. She likes CAS so CAS is what I made!
Of course all the photographs are my own :o)

They are all printed onto Papermania textured card them cut and folded to A6. Each of them has the same photograph inside as the one on the front. Photographs feathered in PSP and words added in MS Word :o)

For a lady who is nutty about fire engines

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well with you and that you are not in an area of flooding with this incessant rain :o(  I had planned on popping to Belper Riverside Gardens with my cameras today but perhaps it was not one of my better ideas. Methinks I will wait for a few days of dry weather!
Oh well, on to my cards for today. My friend's daughter in law works in the fire service and she is potty about fire engines :o)

I took the photographs in 2008 at a boat rally in Langley Mill Basin.
The flames are PSP tubes

The insert is the same for both cards

Base cards are cream linen card cut and folded to size. The first one is 5x7 and the second one is A6. I hope I haven't overdone the flames :o) The photographs are printed onto Papermania Vanilla cream textured card then cut out with Nesties, and layered with red Bazzill.

For the kids

Good morning bloggers, I hope the day is being kind to you. I am soooooooooooooo relieved that it has cooled down, I can function properly again :o)
Happy Jubilee weekend to you all, I will think of you while I am at work this afternoon and Monday.
Onto my cards for today. I don't seem to do well on children's cards, I dread making them as much as some of you dread male cards LOL.

I can't believe it is 5 years since I took these photographs at Butterley Station, near Ripley, when they had a Thomas weekend. As usual, I have feathered the photographs in PSP and added the words in MS Word, then printed them onto the linen card which I cut and folded to 6x6. I haven't done the insides yet but they will have the same image tucked into a corner somwhere :o)

Meerkats everywhere

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or nearly there...hugs.
Oh what a relief it is to get up and feel a lovely cooling breeze coming in through the window, sheer bliss to me as I do not do well in hot weather.  I do love the wall to wall blue that we have just now though!
On to my cards for today. I was unable to print any for a while because my card tolerant upstairs printer gave up the ghost, but off I popped to Comet and LO and Behold, there was an Epson printer/scanner/copier for the princely sum of £27.99 including a set of quarter full ink carts! I hasten to add that it was so cheap because it was a discontinued one and the display model, the last in the shop,  so I came home and started playing immediately :o)

I took the photographs at Twycross Zoo a couple of years ago and as you can see, I feathered them in PSP. I get such a lot of satisfaction being able to do that. As usual, I cut and folded the white linen card but this time to A6. I have shown the inside of the first one to illustrate the inside of each card. I added the speech bubbles and text in MS Word using my favourite Papyrus font. I hope you like them :o)
