Two more from my Calke Abbey photographs

Good morning Bloggers :o)
It's a bit grey and cool, but at least it's dry!
First, I must welcome Flora, a new follower, thank you for joining me Flora, sorry to say I can't access your blog!
I have two cards to show you this morning, you will have seen the photographs in an earlier post.

For this first one, I cut and folded Bazzill to 6x6.
Feathered the photograph  in PSP, printed it in MS Word onto Papermania textured card, cut with Nesties and layered it onto Bazzill, then cut Marianne ivy 4 times, also from Bazzill, and created the frame with it.

For the second one I used green Bazzill cut and folded to A6, with a darker panel embossed with my bamboo folder.
Sunflower photograph treated in the same way as the flutterby one and layered using more Nesties and Bob's yer Uncle, job done :o)

Set of three penguin cards

Good morning everyone, I do hope that you have not been flooded out. It is a lovely morning here near Derby after the incessant rain. I am so glad I live on a hill!
On to my cards for today, a set of three 4x4 mini cards. My own photograph of course, played about with in PSP as usual :o)

Same penguin pic on each card. Feathered in PSP, printed on Papermania textured card in Word, sentiment added. Nesties and embossing folder used on the third one. That really is all there is to them :o)

Wonderful day in York + a card

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world. Thank goodness the rain has stopped!
I have a fantastic day in York on Sunday with my daughter and granddaughter. We (daughter and me) had gone up there to take granddaughter Sian's bike so she can get out and about, and I wanted to be nosey and see what her digs is like LOL. She and three other students are sharing a bungalow and I was very surprised, and relieved,  to see how nice it is LOL. Sian took us on a tour of the Minster area and in the Minster itself. Wow, what a magnificent building that is! Of course it cost me for lunch for the three of us but it was well worth it, and what an unforgettable day it was :o)
Anyhow, on to my card for today.

Another very simple card but no photographs LOL.
I bought this Crafts Too embossing folder a few weeks ago and forgot all about it tut. tut!
Embossed very pale blue pearlised card and I love how clear it shows up. Added a Marianne deer diecut (another new toy) and stamped Woodware greeting and that's all there is to it :o)

Well you asked for them.....

.....here are the first cards from my Calke Abbey photographs. I didn't want to take the eyes away from the image with too many embellishments. I hope you like them :o)

I must say that I think the big stag has printed very well on the Papermania textured card.
The mirri card on card two is gold but it looks copper on here!
The deer die is from Memory Box and the the one on the middle card is a Marianne die which I bought yesterday.
I have made other cards from that batch of pics too but saving them for later.
I am off to York for the day tomorrow. Going up with my daughter to take granddaughter Sian's bike up there so she has it when Uni starts, then Sian will be showing us around the city.  :o)

Brilliant day at Calke Abbey

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world. What a dramatic change in the weather from Tuesday, when I used my new National Trust membership for the first time. I had a wonderful day out at Calke Abbey, which is just 10 miles from home. I had a wander round - had to be slow stroll due to not being able to walk well - and took lots of photographs - 262 in all - in the church, the stunning walled garden, the magnificent kitchen garden, then had a wander through the house before having an excellent lunch in the restaurant. Methinks another visit in the Spring may be on the cards :o)
These are just a few of the photographs I took, I warn you, it is picture heavy :o)

Just as I was about to get in the card to come home, I spotted the deer so had to take a few more pics! I hope that you have enjoyed this little tour of Calke Abbey in pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them :o)

Card for Diana

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well in your world. I am now officially on holiday until Wednesday next week so I mean to enjoy myself, and what a lovely start with the wall to wall sunshine and a good forecast for today!
My card for today is my first using my new Pan Pastels. I love them but methinks I need some practise! It is safe for me to post it as I know the lovely lady has received it :o)

I cut and folded white card to A5.
I have only a limited number of Pan Pastels as yet, but I will be buying more!
The silhouettes are Lyndsay Mason stamps, the sentiment was printed in Word and punched with SU,  and the diecuts are Memory Box Chloe Stem :o)

Robin Christmas

Good morning Bloggers, not so sunny this morning but HeyHo, it's Autumn, my favourite time of the year, and I am loving not feeling like a wet rag! The trees are just starting to change colour and they look so beautiful. We need a good frost now to give us the really vibrant Autumn colours.
I hope all is well in your world, as it is in mine. After work tomorrow night, I break up for 8 days and I mean to enjoy every minute.
My cards for today are just 4x4 minis but I enjoyed making them. When you think about it 'I enjoyed making them' is a daft statement, I ALWAYS enjoy making them :o)

As always, it is my own robin photograph, taken at St. Chad's Water, only 3 miles away from me. It is a lovely little nature reserve that I like to have a little wander round when I haven't got time to go further afield.
White card cut and folded to 4x4, then embossed. Robin printed on to Papermania textured card and text added in Word, then cut with Nestie, as are the Bazzill mats. That's all there is to them. Great for making a lot at once :o)

Lots of diecuts card

OMG, this makes 3 days running that I have posted! Unheard of LOL.
Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world wherever that may be.
I really went to town on this one with all the diecuts, I was just having a play around and this is the result.

Base card is Bazzill, with some of the dies cut from the same sheet. The rest are cut from a very pale peachy colour pearlised card. Dies used are Marianne anja corner, my new oval Nesties, Cheery Lynn foliage, Memory Box poppies and my new MB Chloe stem. Lots of card scraps were used :o)

Just a few pics.....

.....that I took in Wirksworth on Sunday.
These are just a few of the photographs that I took of my daughter singing, alone and with one of the folk club members. She really isn't that miserable, it was a very sad song :o)

I warn you now, if you don't want to be traumatised then look away now.
The next photograph is a self portrait. I took it to show that I really was in a first class Pullman coach (very windswept) for my lunch LOL.

I think I'm back + a scarlet ibis

Good morning Bloggers, I hope you are all well and not suffering withdrawal symptoms now that the Olympics and Paralympics are done. I was miffed when I had to go to work halfway through the parade yesterday!
I will be trying to catch up with your blog posts now but it may take a day or two, please bear with me.
I had a wonderful day at the  Wirksworth Festival on Sunday but my poor legs are suffering from the hills there. If you have ever been to Wirksworth you will know what I mean, it is very steep there! Had to go though as my daughter, along with our folk club, was singing there. I am awaiting her permission to put a photograph of her on here!
I still haven't managed to make a card (hopefully today) so here is one I made earlier but didn't upload it.

Another very simple card. I cut and folded plain white card to 6x6.
I took the photograph at Blackbrook Zoo, near Leek, a couple of years or more ago. Feathered it in PSP and printed it straight onto a soft peach Bazzill, then used more Bazzill for the mat and the corner die. Die cuts are Memory Box and Nesties, and I coloured the pearls with copics and there you go, I told you it was simple :o)

Sorry I have been AWOL.....

.....but the Paralympics took over and kept me glued to them just as much as the Olympics did. What  magnificent, spectacular shows we gave to the world. I would just like to add my own thanks to all of those people, the athletes, the gamesmakers, the TV coverage, and countless others, who all gave us a wonderful warm glow that should last for a long time.
Hopefully I will be able to start catching up with your blogs from tomorrow :o)

Had to get back to my photographs!

Good morning Bloggers, what a glorious sunrise it was when I got up.
I was asked by my cousin to make a CAS card for her grandson's 18th birthday and his passion is football. I don't know which team he supports but this photograph is one I took a couple of years ago at a local amateur football match. I am happy to say that my cousin is delighted with it (thank goodness) so I thought I would do a few more aimed at the male of the species :o)
So, without more ado, here they are!

Cruise ship docked at Falmouth

Same as the commission but a general sentiment

I took this one in Florida in 1989

Tram at Crich Tramway Museum, Derbyshire
As usual, I feathered the photographs in PSP and printed them straight on to Papermania textured card which I then folded and cut to 5x7. I hope you like them :o)

Christmas card

Oooooops! I just realised that I have uploaded this card before, my apologies. Call it a senior moment :o)
I thought it was time I got back to my Christmas card making before it's too late! First though, welcome to new follower Marianne. Technically, Marianne has been commenting for a long time on my cards but has just joined my followers officially, welcome aboard Marianne :o)
This is a very simple card indeed!

I made it while I was at my dear friend Viv's a couple of weeks ago. I used an embossing folder for the background, I think it is Crafts Too, no name on it so not sure! I borrowed the sentiment stamp from Viv so no idea who made it. Marianne tree die cut and Memory box holly vine complete. There, I told you it was very simple :o)
