A few more commissioned notecards...

...this time using my photographs.

I took the bees on echinops photograph 3 years ago at Darley Park, Derby, the rest were taken last year at Twycross Zoo. No explanation needed for making them as you can see :o)

More commissioned notecards

Good morning Bloggers. Yesterday my daughter and I went off to Barnsdale Gardens again and what a riot of colour they are at the moment. The temperature, at 30C by noon, was too much for both of us but we persevered and really enjoyed ourselves and had a great salad lunch. I will put photographs on later. Then we village hopped (in the air coditioned car) from Rutland into Nottinghamshire and went to the Gonalston Farm Shop. What a wonderful shop it is, I can recommend it if you are ever in that area :o)
Well I have deleted my cookies, as someone (sorry I can't remember who) suggested and so far so good. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it stays that way :o)
I still can't see my followers though, and I see from the numbers on my dashboard that I have another one joined, so welcome to my blog. I am sorry I do not know who you are but hopefully it will be resolved before too long :o)
Now, onto my notecards. This time my cousin wanted white cards with garden creatures on and some flowers that I had coloured :o)

The creatures were all cut on the Cricut using A Walk in my Garden cart and the flowers were stamped and coloured with copics :o)
Right, I am off now to do a bit more wilting in this heat, it's supposed to get to 33C today!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much...

...for all your lovely messages, I do appreciate each and everyone. They have made me have a rethink so I will upload stuff from time to time and hope that one of these days I can return any comments that are left.
With this in mind, here is one I put together this morning

I had previously stamped the image with versamark onto brown card, then heat embossed with a glittery copper powder. When I bleached the petals I unfortunately dripped some outside the area so had to cut the daisies out. I cut the 5.5" and 5" mats out with Go Kreate dies, and did a bit of chalking round the edges :o)

I've had enough now GRRRRRRRRRRRR

Good morning Bloggers, I hope you are all well :o)
I haven't seen my followers for weeks, indeed I've had 2 new ones recently and I don't even know who they are. In fact I can't see anyone's followers! Add to that I can't comment on any blogs as it throws me out when I try then I have to go back and sign in again and after the third attempt it won't let me sign in at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!  What is going on here? Yes, I did uncheck the stay signed in box ages ago!
I think it's time for me to give blogging a rest for a while. I will try again later because I don't want to sit here morning after morning tearing my hair out, it makes blogging a dreaded chore instead of the pleasure it has always been previously.
I have really enjoyed blogging until the last few weeks, made some lovely friends, seen some wonderful designs etc. Hopefully I will be back in a few weeks.

Flutterby in the round

Good morning everyone, what a kerfuffle I had yesterday! I hope it's better today - fingers crossed!!!!!!!!!!!
Every time I commented Blogger threw me out and I had to keep signing in again. At the third attempt I couldn't get back in at all.

Anywas up, on to my card. I was playing with my new Go Kreate dies yesterday and this is what I came up with. I used the big one (5.5") to cut the card out then the 5" one to cut the MME paper. Marianne flutterby also cut from MME. Mounts for the SU sentiment and the flutterby were punched from pearlised card with Woodware and SU punches. That's really all there is to it, so simple and quick to make.
Now I will have another try at commenting on your wonderful creations :O)

Another flutterby card

Good morning everyone. I hope your weather is better than the grey, grey and more grey (different shades of) wet and windy stuff we have here at the moment!

I decided to try pearlised card for for the base this time as it seems to show the embossing up better than ordinary card. This was so quick and easy to make. Cut and fold card to 6x6, emboss it. Punch Martha Stewart flutterbies, run them through the Big Shot in an SU embossing folder, stick them on, SU stamp and punched for the sentiment and 'Voila',  'tis done

Through my dirty kitchen window

Oh dear, I really must clean my windows! Hazy though it is, I was really chuffed to get this baby blackbird in one of my ground feeders :o)
He/she comes to visit every day and when I went out to get in the car yesterday I got to within 3 feet of it before it hopped nonchalantly onto the grass and under the buddliea. It's a shame I hadn't got the camera in my hand then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was going to add a card here but it won't upload so I will try later.
Have a great weekend everyone :o)

Made before breakfast...

... this morning! I had bought two new toys yesterday at Byrkley park and just HAD to make something, anything, using them :o)

The new toy on this first one is the GoKreate large scalloped circles. The largest is about 5.75" and as you can see just fits nicely on a 6x6 card.

The new toy on this one is a Craft Concepts embossing folder which just nicely suits an A6 card. Methinks I will be using them fairly often  :o)

First baby robin...

...that I have ever seen and I was so chuffed to get a photograph :o)

I have been having gravel laid in my back garden so the ground feeder was placed out of the way onto a prostrate conifer and the baby robin seemed to like it there as he kept coming back :o)

Here is one of Mum too, or is it Dad? Being very nosy watching the work being done :o)
I am off out today. A friend is picking me up and we are off to a pub lunch then a nosey round at the ruins of the Grace Dieu Priory just on the edge of Charnwood Forest

Oh my, how the time does fly

I cannot believe how long it is since I last posted, the time is going so fast! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I will be at work this afternoon but tomorrow I am off out for lunch and a visit to the ruins of the Grace Dieu priory on the edge of Charnwood Forest.
My followers have not come back yet but I appear to have another new one. Whoever you are, welcome to my blog and I hope that I may be able to see who you are soon :o)
These are the only 2 cards I have made in a whole week, but I did spend quite some time printed loads of inserts which have to be put into cards for all the June/July birthdays I have to send out.

Anyway, I made these two using my lovely new Lindsay Mason stamp set. As you can see, they are very simple cards. For the first one, I stamped the flutterby onto rainbow paper and the second was stamped onto white paper and coloured with promarkers. Both are mounted onto nestie cutouts and layerd onto 6x6 base cards which I cut and folded :o)

Made becuz I wanted to

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well and happy. Sadly my holiday week has come to an end and it's back to work later today :o( I had a crafting session yesterday to finish a great week off.

They are all very simple cards, 2 A6 and 2 4x4 minis.
The 3 above were all made using my lovely new SU embossing folders. Stamped image is SU coloured with copics and cut out with nesties, flutterby cut with a Marianne die, an few sticky pearls and Bob's yer Uncle.

This one was just a little experiment. My friends had shown me how to do the crackle painting so I had a go in a very small way and this was the result. The very crude flower is my effort and painting one free hand :o)

It's that bleached daisy again

Good morning bloggers, I hope you are all well. I know you won't agree with me but thank goodness it's cooled down, all that heat drains me completely!
Unfortunately I have to go back to work tomorrow after having nearly a week off and going here, there and everywhere.

Yes, it's that daisy again, I just love this stamp and it is so right for bleaching. I love the way it makes the flower centres pop. This is the first blue one I have made and I am quite pleased with the result :o)

Commissioned scenic notecards

Good morning everyone, what a lovely sunny start to the day here near Derby.
My cousin asked me to make some more notecards for her with some of my photographs  which were taken within my fairly local area. All of these places are within a 40 minute drive, and the closest - the horsey one - is only 5 minutes away.

The recipient was born in this part of Derbyshire but now lives in Cornwall and loves to receive images from places he knew during his younger years :o)
