7 cards inspired by Docrafter junescraftybits

Good morning everyone, still raining here. They do say it will be fine for the weekend though!
I hope all is well in your world, hugs.

A few weeks ago, DCer junescraftybits uploaded two cards that took my fancy and these are my interpretation of those cards. This is my blue set, I am just starting on a red set which I will show later if they are worth sharing LOL.

They are all 6x6 and the paper inside is from HOTP which I bought whilst on half price sale about 6 years ago. I bought so much of it and I still have some left!
Apertures cut with Spellbinders except for the hexagon which was cut with Xcut.
Dies used are Marianne,  Memory Box and a set od green dies which I have lost the name too! Martha Stewart grass punch used for icicles, Poinsettia cut with Cricut from an SVG by Pamela Duncan. Sentiments stamped with various stamp sets :o)

Anniversary in the round

Good morning everyone,  I hope all is well in your world...hugs
It's too early to tell what it's going to be like out there but it is raining at the moment!

I have now been off the statins for a month, and it hasn't made one iota of difference to my aches and pains, so I am going back on them on Friday. At least I have proved that it's not them that's making it worse!

I have a few friend's anniversaries to make cards for this year and here is one of them, I decided on a shaped one for a change, this one is 7"

Base card cut from Bazzill Basics (which I have had forever)  and the back is plain white, with a score 1" down to allow for opening.
Image is an old one from Mo's Digital images, coloured with Caran D'Ache watercolour pencils, then cut with Xcut large die, as is the larger white mat. I used Spellbinder's Grand Nesties for the rest. Foliage is Memory Box die cut.
I hope you like it :o)

A Christmas selection

Good morning everyone, another dull wet one! I hope you are all well, or getting there, hugs for those who want or need them.
I have now received my blue badge and it was great being able to park in the disable section at the hospital Friday morning :o)
I had a mammoth session making Christmas cards while I was in the mood for them and here are a few of them.

The first one is 8x8 and the rest are 7x5 with the exception of the purple tree one, which is A6.
It is fairly evident how they were constructed so I won't go into detail. If there is anything you want to know, please ask :o)

Back to my photographs.....

.....I can't stay away from them for long LOL.

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs. It's really dark and very wet this morning here in the East Midlands!

I have changed my avatar for the same one I use on DC. It is a photograph that my Granddaughter took of me at Elvaston Castle in 2007, back when I could walk better!

On to my card for today, which is a very simple one :o)

This is a different cosmos photograph than the one uploaded previously, although it was the same plant.
As usual, I have folded and cut my favourite white linen card to 7x5 for the base card.
Photograph printed onto the same linen card, then cut with Spelbinders, as is the pink mat, which is a scrap of Papermania textured card.
Foliage cut with Cheery Lynn from another scrap of PM card.
Sentiment is from an old Stamps and Smiles set :o)

Playing with scraps

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

Welcome to new follower Carole, Hi Carole, thank you for joining me :o)

My card today is one I made when I was rummaging through my scrap box, so I have no idea where the paper came from!

Base card is my favourite white linen card folded and cut to 7x5.
On the paper scrap, I stamped Lavinia willow in black and grey with Memento inks, then stamped Stampendous Agapanthus cluster with Versamark, then heat embossed with Stampendous Detail White powder.
Matted onto a scrap of gold textured card then layered onto the base card.
Stamps and Smiles sentiment.
Gems from stash, coloured with Copic pen :o)

More from that Darice folder

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well, or getting there, and have the beautiful weather we are having in the East Midlands at the moment...hugs

Great news, they have allowed me a blue badge, just waiting impatiently for it to arrive now LOL.

I've been playing with that Darice folder again, I love it so much I have now bought 3 others, so watch this space :o)

All card used for these is from stash.
This one is 6x6 and I have added Memory Box Chloe stem as well as highlighting the dots with gold pen.

One of my DC buddies suggested debossing the image, and highlighting with glitter, and here is the result. I used a glue pen and Glamour Dust.
Sentiment is SU stamp and punches.
I hope you like them as much as I do :o)

Another watercoloured image

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world, Hugs

For those who didn't see the stop press bit on my previous card, I am a happy bunny cuz my little car passed it's M.O.T with flying colours :o)
The blue badge people rung and asked me some questions so now it's a waiting game to see if I get one!

I found this sunflower image in my digi folder, had it for years but sorry, I can't remember where from!

I folded an A4 sheet of PMS hammered white card in half for the A5 base card.
Pearlised white card embossed with A4 Embosslicious folder .
Sunflower printed onto white linen card from Papermill Direct, coloured with Caran D'Ache watercolour pencils and cut with Spellbinder's Grand Nesties. Mat cut from a scrap of gold textured card.
SU sentiment and punches :o)

Re-acquainted myself with watercolouring

Good morning everyone I hope you are all well, or getting there, on this beautiful sunshiny morning after two very dull wet days!
It's car M.O.T. time again, got to take it in this morning so please wish me luck, I've got everything crossed that can be crossed LOL.

Stop Press, my car has passed it's M.O.T. Not bad for an old banger :o)

Whilst looking for something else, as you do, I came across my sadly neclected watercolour pencils, so I decided to play with them. Must practice my blending with them, it is so easy with Copics! Anyhow, this is the first one for many moons!

8x8 card base made using plain white card.
Embossalicious 8x8 folder used on pearlised white card for the backing.
DZ Doodles image printed onto white linen card from Papermill Direct, then watercoloured with Caran D'Ache pencils before being cut out with Spellbinder's Grand Nesties. Orange card is Bazzill.  I hope you like it :o)

One folder, three cards

Good morning everyone,  I hope all is well with you, and if not then here's a few hugs {{{{{hugs}}}}}
Thank you for all of your kind words about my trial run without Statins. It's been 10 days now since I took my last one, but too soon to tell yet. The doctor says I need to be off them for a month to be certain, and if the pains ease, then I need to take them again for another month to see if they come back so we would know for sure whether it's them making it worse. Only time will tell!
For my walking problem, caused by lumbar disc degeneration, I am today posting off an application for a blue badge, please keep you fingers crossed for me :o)

With it being Bank Holiday week there have been no therapy sessions for Stephen this week, so I have made lots of cards and here are three of them.

For the first and third ones, I raided the scrap box for papers, for the second one I used a scrap of white linen card and inked the folder with Big and Juicy inkpad.
Folder is from Darice, bought it months ago and have only just now used it for the first time!
First and third ones are layered onto gold textured card, the second one layered onto red Bazzill. As I was using the embossing folder for the image I didn't want to detract from it with embellishments so kept them CAS.
On the third one I highlighted the dots with a gold uniball pen I found in my stash from my early crafting day and was delighted when it still worked LOL.
Sentiments are from SU and Stamps and Smiles. Pearls on the second one are coloured with Copic pen. I hope I haven't sent you all off to sleep with this long post! :o)

Back to my photographs.....

Sorry, I can't leave them alone for long :o)

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world. Here's a few hugs if you need or want them {{{{{hugs}}}}}

I am off to see the Doc early so I will have to pop back later to catch up with commenting. My shoulder problem, and looking after Stephen after his stroke, has stopped me going out on whole day photo shoots like I used to, but with around 20,000 photographs on my ext. hard drive, I have been digging deep and playing with ones I took years ago and forgot about. This Bottlebrush (Callistemon) plant is one of them. I think I took it at Barnsdale Gardens, Near Rutland Water, a few years ago.

I make no apologies for the photograph being crooked, I do that deliberately to get the best angle for the light to show the embossing.
The pearlised card that I used for the base card I bought at a show at Donnington Hall a couple of years or so ago. I folded and cut it to 6x6 then embossed with Ebosser A4 Honeycomb folder. You are seeing the debossed side because I forgot that the card was single sided and did it the wrong side LOL.
Photograph printed on white linen card from Papermill Direct, then cut with Spellbinders dies. Red card backing is from my scrap box.
Flutterbies punched with Martha Stewart punch.
Foliage cut with Memory Box die.
I hope you like it :o)

Resist stamping.....

.....but it doesn't show up too well on the pic!

Good morning everyone, where did the sun go. It's been raining all night here!
I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs

I have decided to leave off taking my statins for a month to see if they are making my shoulder and other pains worse, missed 4 nights so far so a long way to go yet, watch this space!

Onto my card for today. As said above, the resist stamping doesn't show up well unless you enlarge the pic.

I made this a few weeks ago, but decided it wasn't fit to show, but it has grown on me a bit since then, so here it is LOL.
Base card is hammered white from PMS, folded and cut to 7x5,
Red layer is plain card from the scrap box.
I stamped the dandelion clocks (sorry, don't know the make) with versamark onto smooth white card, then heat embossed with holographic embossing powder.
I then inked with red Memento inkpad.
Stamps are a mixture of Lyndsay Mason and Lavinia.
Sentiment stamp from an old set by Stamps and Smiles :o)

A change from Christmas cards.....

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world, and if not hugs to you.

I thought I would give you a change from the Christmas cards, although I have made another 10 of them this week, that makes about 30 so far, long way to go yet :o)

For my card today I used my Sizzix Bigz Daisy die which you may remember I rediscovered a couple of weeks or so ago along with my TH Tattered Floral Bigz die, and I mean to use both of them more :o)

Once again I have used paper from way back before 5 years ago, sorry there isn't a name on it.
Base card is hammered white from PMS. also way back before the Papermill shops all closed, folded and cut to 6x6.
Daisy cut from the same paper as the backing then inked with Big and Juicy pad, gem/brad added, flower then raised with sticky foam pad. Foliage is Marianne and Memory Box dies cut from a scrap of PDA textured card. Ribbon is also a scrap from my ribbon box.
Nothing new was harmed in the making of this card :o)

Another Christmas card

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world. Sending hugs to those who want or need them.

I seem to be in Christmas mode at the moment so here's another CAS one.

Papermill Direct linen card folded and cut to 7x5.
Cuttlebug folder used on glittercard then punched with Martha Stewart before layering onto silver mirri card.
Sentiment stamped with Stamps and Smiles from an old set, then cut with Spellbinders and lifted with foam squares.
A very simple card, I hope you like it :o)
