Yesterday started with horizontal rain and ended up with sunshine, this morning has started of with sunshine and is due to end with rain!!!

Anyhow, enough of our changeable weather. I have an IoI (Ivory on Ivory) card to share with you today, it is one of my favourite :o)

All card used is Ivory linencard from PMD.
Basecard is A4 folded and cut to 7x5. Foliage cut with Memory Box die.
Flowers punched with Woodware.
Pearls from stash, coloured with Copic marker pen. I haven't got a cream Copic so used my very palest yellow one!
Nothing else to be said about it really except that a few of the leaves are lifted with
sticky foam pads :o)

Commissioned 50th birthday

Good morning everyone, what a beautiful sunny start we have to the day here. I hope it is the same for you wherever you are...hugs

I am very late this morning so I will get this posted and come back later to catch up on your blogs!

My cousin asked for a music card for her son, but she asked me not to put 5o on it!
Like my daughter, Daniel is a singer/guitarist, so I used a photograph I took of one of her guitars some years ago. The basecard is plain white card from stash, folded an cut to fit in a 6x6 envelope.
Bronze card also from stash, bought long ago from PDA.
Panel embossed with Embossalicious 6x6 folder.
Music notes cut with ancient provocraft dies.
Guitar printed onto semigloss photocard, to give it a bit of shine, and fussy cut, then rasied onto sticky foam pad.
Computer generated seniment also raised with sticky foam pads
Ooooooooops! Nearly forgot to say that I rounded the corners with my new Cropodile corner chomper :o)

The olive green textured card is from stash, I bought it several years ago from PDA, I obly have one sheet left so I think a trip to Langley Mill needed soon!
The pale green card is DCWV, also from stash.
Enbossing folder used is Couture Creations Tied Together.
Flutterby and grapevine leaves cut with Memory Box dies.
Sentiment is computer generated and punched with SU.
White sticky pearls coloured with Copic marker pen.

Commissioned set of flower cards

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs.

My cousin asked me to "make a few birthday cards please" and she always loves the one layer cards with my flower photographs on, so these are what I made for her. I actually made 9 but three were ivory basecards so I have left those for another post.
I made six with white basecards  but two of them are the same sunflower (requested) so only five pics for you to peruse!
My cousin loved all of them so she had all nine :o)

All basecards are white linencard from The Range.
All images are my own photographs, printed straight onto the card along with the computer generated sentiments for which I used Dauphin font, then folded and cut to 7x5.
All photographs feathered using PSP7.
Not a lot else to be said about them really :o)

Blue on Blue

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs to all who need or  want them.

The sun is shining, we have wall to wall blue skies, and the wind has dropped, let us hope it stays that way!

I have my second colour shades card to share this morning, this time it's BoB, and here it is.

The base card looks white here, but it is pale blue hammered card which I have had forever, I bought it from the Papermill shop at McArthur Glen years ago and then forgot about it!
I stamped my favourite Stampendous agapanthus image onto mid blue card then cut with Spellbinders pierced square die. Mat cut from a scrap of dark blue linencard from who knows where, also in the dim and distant past.
Diecuts are Memory Box.
Sentiment is from SU.
Finished off by stamping agapanthus onto base card :o)

8x8 commissioned baby card

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world and the sun is shining for you as it is here, albeit and tad hazy...hugs

A work colleague asked me to make her two 8x8 cards, one a golden wedding anniversary and the other a baby card as her daughter is expecting a little girl within a month. This will be her first grandchild and she is sooooooooooooo excited :o)

Anyhow, here is the baby card to be going on with!

I used a Papermania 8x8 card blank.
White pearlised panel embossed with Embossalicious A4 emb. folder  which I think is perfect for baby cards.
All elements inside and out (except the sentiment which was cut with Spellbinder oval and pierced oval dies) were created by me in SCAL, and cut on my ancient Cricut.
All pink card used it Coredinations.
Babygrow banner and sentiment are raised on foam sticky pads to give a bit of dimension.

It has been quite a while since I used my Cricut, and I really enjoyed re-acquainting myself with it.  It is the original version which I bought before we were able to connect them to the PC way back in 2007,  so it has done me proud.
I coloured the safety pins with Copic marker pen.
I filched the verse from a DC  member and I think it is perfect for a little girl, printed using Bauhaus 93 font :o)

Something a bit different

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well in your world...hugs.

I think that most of us love the WoW cards, and I had been toying with the idea of a cream on cream one, but when I saw Pams-crafts Pink on Pink card a week or so ago, I decided I would make several different one colour cards just for fun. I have always loved grey so here is my first of 6 different colour tones cards, a GoG one!

All card is from stash and mostly bought years ago at PDA, but there may be some from The Papermill Shop before they all closed.
Finished card size is just under 6x6.
Circleburst and leaf dies are from Memory Box.
Daisy dies from Sue Wilson.
Tiny brad from stash.
SU sentiment stamp.
Not a lot else I can say about it :o)

Crocosmia birthday

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in you world. Here's some hugs if you need or want them {{{{{hugs}}}}}

I cannot believe that my week off work is 3/4 gone!!!!!

Yesterday after lunch I went to Attenborough Nature Reserve, probably my favourite place within about a 10 mile radious of where I live. It was my first visit there this year and it did not disappoint. It was so windy that it nearly blew me over on my way into to visitor centre for a hot chocolate, but it was so refreshing, definitely blew the cobwebs off LOL. For the first time in all my years of taking photographs, I managed to catch a couple of swans doing their heart thing, it was so lovely sipping hot chocolate and watching them, after I had taken photographs, of course! There was a pair of great crested grebes too, and I was hoping they would do their dance, but they didn't BooHoo!

Anyway, on to my card for today which features a crocosmia that I photographed many moons ago but can't remember where!

All card used is my usual white linencard from The Range.
Base cardis from an A4 sheet folded and cut to fit into a 6x6 envelope.
Wavy birders are the Spellbinder offcuts from an earlier card.
Photograph cut with Die-namics stitched circle die.
Pearls from stash.

Unfortunately I was at the wrong angle to get the full effect of the heart shape, this is the best one that I managed!

Circleburst daisy

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all as well as you can be...hugs

I am on holiday from work this week, so I am enjoying the freedon that gives me.
I had to wait yesterday in for the gas service chappie in the morning, but when he had gone I went off to Byrkley Park for a bit of retail therapy. I made the mistake of browsing before I went into the craft section. I indulged myself in the Cotton Traders dept. and came out with a shirt and a pair of shoes!!!
Onto the craft shop where I bought a few bits and pieces including a pair of 6"x12" cutting plates for my Big Shot, and a set of sentiment stamps. I also got myself some A4 boxes. I had intended buying a couple of those, but at 4 for £10 (normally £3.50 each) they were a bargain!

Anyhow, I digress, so here is my card for today.

Very simple design.
I used my usual white linencard, folded and cut to fit a 6x6 envelope.
Panel cut with Memory Box large circleburst die then backed with scrap of peach textured card from offcuts box. Provocraft corners cut from same scrap.
The flower and fliage is from my bits box, it's been in there for aeons :o)

Mauve crocus card

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all warm, dry and well...hugs.

A warm welcome to new follower Debs, thank you for joining me :o)

Back to my photographs with my card for today. You have probably seen this one before (the photograph, not the card). I made it for my Aunt's 90th birthday. 90 or not, she is still working, bless her, I have 16 years to go to catch her up LOL.

My usual white linencard, folded and cut to 7x5.
I feathered my photograph in PSP7,  printed it onto the same linencard as I used for the base, then cut it out with Spellbinders pierced oval die.
Foliage cut with  Memory Box die and sentiment stamped with Woodware.
Not much else can be said about it :o)

Just playing with WoW

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well with your and yours...hugs.

What a change in the weather, from Summer one week to absolutely awful yesterday, 'twas more like Winter and although it's bright this morning, it is starting to cloud over!

I love making WoW cards and was just playing with bits and pieces, and here is the card that came out of it, a 7x7 shaped one!

For the basecard, I cut two 8x8 pieces from A4 350 gsm plain white card with Spellbinders Grand Nesties, then scored one  of them 1" in from the side and attached it with DST to the back of the other one.
I then cut a piece slightly smaller from A4 pearlised card and embossed it with Embossalicious (I think) 8x8 cloud folder which I have had for quite a while but never used!
I cut a smaller panel and stamped the sentiment with Penny Black using
Memento London Fog.
Foliage cut with Memory Box from the cloud offcut.
Probably suitable for wedding, anniversary or engagement :o)

Last of my swans for a while

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs.

A warm welcome to new follower VeeCassidy, thank you for joining my followers Vee :o)

It started raining on my way home from work last night, and boy oh boy it was beating against my windows all night. It's stopped now and calm as a millpond. Wouldn't it be great if it always rained at night and was nice during the day!

On to my cards for today.

The first one is 8x8. I used a Papermania base card for this one.
Blue card is DCWV, embossed with Embossalicious 8x8 folder then sanded and layered onto the basecard.
I printed my swan photograph and the border onto my usual white linencard before cutting
with square die (sorry, can't remember where from) and attaching with foam strips to give dimension. Sentiment stamped with Stamps and Smiles then cut with Die-namics horizontal strip die.

For my second card, I used white linencard, folded and cut to 7x5.
My sygnet photograph was printed ont the same white card.
The hessian strip, from my bits box, was covered with Creative Expressions gilding wax .
Diecut is Memory Box. Tiny buttons from stash.
I added the original photograph so you can see the hessian backing reflects the "cage"
in the water :o)

New baby card

Good morning fellow Bloggers, I hope all is well in your world...hugs.

Last week, I got home from work at 10.30pm on Tuesday evening, went to one of my two little freezers to get meat out for Wednesday, and the lid came away in my hands!!!!! One of the hinges had snapped. Now I have to say this particular freezer was about 25 years old, so it really didn't owe me anything.
Next day, off I trotted to buy a new larder type freezer. It arrived yesterday and of course I had to wait several hours for it to settle down before plugging it in, then another several hours while it got cold enough for me to transfer all my meat to it!
So what was I doing at 10 o'clock last night, I was filling up the new freezer. Thank goodness that is done with LOL.

Anyhow, I digress, so here is my card for today!

All white card used is my usual linencard, and the red is a piece from one of my scrap boxes.
I folded and cut the card to fit into a 6x6 envelope, then cut the large circle burst with Memory box die, and attached the red card behind it before layering it onto the base card.
The stamp is one I did at a friend's house many years ago so I can't say who it was made by cuz I don't know! I coloured him with Caran D'Ache watercolours pencils. I cut him out with SU punch.
Banner is my own, created in SCAL and cut on my ancient Cricut.
Space at the top left is for the sentiment when I know where it is going :o)
