Another of my own mats

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

The sun seems a tad weak at the moment but hopefully it will get better!

On my card for today, I have used another of my own creations, and I am going to have a go at cutting some others out this morning!  I'm afraid it's another blue one today LOL.

My usual nearly 6x6 from an A4 sheet of white linencard.
I have seen several cards recently which have been made using dies to cut corner features, so I decided to have a go in SCAL . You have seen my first one (scroll down if you haven't) which was a stitcheded square, and here is my hexagon corners one, cut from the same blue card with my trusty Cricut.
Matted onto silver mirri card, which I think goes rather well with blue.
Foliage cut with Memory box die.
TimHoltz/Sizzix Bigz diecut flower, sponged with blue gilding wax.
Flatback pearl coloured with Copic marker pen.
Space at the bottom for sentiment when/if needed.
I must say that  really enjoyed making this one, although I take great pleasure in making them all :o)

Bits and pieces

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well in your world...hugs
Just like yesterday the sun was shining at 6am and now, nearly an hour later, it is overcast and dismal!

My offering for today is a pair of mini thank you cards made from offcuts and my bits boxes!

The basecards are offcuts from other cards and mesaure just 2.5" x 3.5"
I stamped and coloured the coneflower image at a friend's house some years ago and then forgot all about it until I was looking for something else, as you do LOL.
I cut it, and a pink mat using a Spellbinders die with a piece of card from my scrap box.
I made the Tim Holtz daisy with vellum several months ago, and added a
gem brad from stash.
The leaves were chalked using the negative from a Memory Box leaf die as a stencil.
Sentiments stamped with Stamps and Smiles :o)

And now for something different, second attempt!

Good sunny Tuesday morning Bloggers, I hope all is well where you are...hugs

I have already done this once, then pressed the wrong button and lost it all, with a lot of blue air over Borrowash!!!

I have gone back to one of the styles I used to do many moons ago for this one.
I have 4 x A4  boxes, each with 17 little boxes in them full of leaves, flowers, balloons, stars and so on ad infinitum. All of them were punched and diecut from scraps probably 5 years ago, and then forgotten. I came across them and decided they had been inloved for lopng enough so I have brought them out of exile!

This is the first card made using some of them, and I will be making more over the coming weeks/months.

As Usual, the base card is linencard folded and cut to my favourite 7x5.
Next up is the pearlised panel embossed with Couture Creations Chainlink fence,
Thern comes the frame, which is the negative from a Spellbinders diecut.
The leaves are are, if I remember correctly, a combination from Spellbinders, Leone Em, maybe Xcut and ?
Flower cut with Tim Holtz Tattered Flower die.
Shading was rubbed in lightly using gilding wax.
I am fairly pleased with it even though my faves are CAS cards.
Beacuse of the faffing about getting this onto my blog, it may take me a day or two to catch up with your usually wonderful uploads, please bear with me :o)

Been getting inky

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well, or at least getting there...hugs.

Well, I've got my new Galaxy tablet and love it already. I love being able to take panoramic pics on it, couldn't believe how easy it is. I have no doubt that there is lots more to learn about it but hey, Rome wasn't built in a day LOL.

I had an inky session the other day and here is the result, it is one for the box!

Base card is hammered white, folded and cut to 6x6.
Plain white card inked with TH distress inks, stamped with Stampendous agapanthus cluster and SU sentiment, then layered onto red mat and onto the basecard.
It really was that simple :o)

8x8 commissioned vows renewal card.....

.....for the same couple that I did the previous one (scroll down to see it).

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world, hugs for those who need or want them {{{{{hugs}}}}}

I had a request by text for this one, my customer was so pleased with the first one I did for her :o)

I cut two pieces of plain white card to 8x8, scored one 1" in and attached to the other with DS tape. This forms the base card.
I cut white pearlised card to size and embossed with A4 Embossalicious Hessian folder, then layered onto the base card.
I printed out Mo Manning's image of Jack and Ginger, and coloured them with copics.
I cut the image and mat with Spellbinders Grand Nesities. The mat is a scrap of textured pewter card from PDA.
Flower cut from a scrap of yellow textured card with Tim Holtz Tattered floral die, and the leaves cut with Memory Box die.
Computer generated sentiment punched with SU.
Border inside punched with Martha Stewart.
same digi image ant text printed inside with MS Word :o)

Oooooooooooooops, I missed a day.....

.....don't know where it went!!!

Good morning everyone on this wall to wall blue sunshiny day...so far... I hope all is well in your world...hugs

This morning I have the last of my cards made using that wonderful SU Work of Art  set of stamps, or at least it's the last for now.

I really don't think it needs any explaining because it is so simple. This style is great for batch cards when time is limited. I chose to make mine 7x5, but you cab adapt the design for any size card.
I used TH ditress ink Pine Needles for this one, and the trees are from an old SU set called, I think, Lovely as a tree. Sorry to say I can't remember where the sentiment stamp set is from. I finished of with a smidgin of Glamour Dust on the trees :o)

More from my new SU stamps

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

I've been playing with my new set of SU stamps Work of Art and here is a couple of the cards I made (4 all together)

I used plain white card for the bases, folded and cut to 7x5.
I used the offcuts to stamp on with another of the stamps in the set with Broken china and spece marmalade TH distress inpads.
Flowers on both are from Stampendous and I have had them forever (that's only a slight exaggeration LOL).
I used bits from my scrap box for the mats and stamped the flower onto each card as well :o)

SU Christmas

Good morning everyone, 'tis looking very windy out there but it's dry. I hope you are all well or getting there, hugs.

I have a set of card to share with you today. I cannot claim ownership of the design, I have virtually copied one made by my friend Pauline at an SU workshop. I loved it so it prompted me to buy the stamp set, and these are my take on her card :o)

I found a box of plain white card, about 350gsm,  in my craftroom (as you do) when I was looking for something else. Goodness knows where and when I bought it, but I put it to good use making these cards LOL.
I folded and cut the cards to 6x6.
I used the same card to stamp my toppers with SU. I inked the stamp then stamped it three times without inking again. All of the stamps used are SU apart from the sentiment on the first one, and that is from a word set by Waltzing Mouse.
Ink pad used on the first is SU but for the other two I used forgotten TH distress inkpads. It's the first time I have ever used distress inks for stamping and I must say I like them. It gives me some more ink colours to play with LOL.
On Pauline's original card, she sprinkled with Frantage, but I haven't got any of that so I just used Glamour Dust on the trees, unfortunately you can't see it on here but it shows up nicely IRL. Luckily I was able to match the inks with card from my box of mxd colours Papermania textured card :o)

P.S. Did I say dry? Just looked out of the window again and it pouring down!

Made from scraps

Good morning everyone, it may be dull but it's still very warm! I hope all is well in your world, Hugs.

My exciting news today is that I have bought me a new car, well, new to me. My trusty little V reg Suzuki is a real old lady now at nearly 16, and very low so difficult and painful for me to get into and out of.  I have bought an 04 reg Peugeot 307 turbo diesel which is nearly twice the size and it purrs like a kitten, but best of all, I can get into and out of it much more easily. I will be picking it up on Thursday and Stephen doesn't have any therapy that day so I will get time to play with my new toy LOL.

On to my card for today. Nothing new was harmed in the making of it. Even the inkpad I used it 7 years old! :o)

Base card is white hammered from Papermill Direct years ago (I had one of those huge boxes full!), folded and cut to 6x6.
I covered it with a scrap of Basic Grey paper, also from years ago, which I had first inked around the edges.
Flower cut from same paper with Tim Holtz Tattered Floral die, then inked before being attached with a gem brad.
Foliage cut with Cheery Lynn dies from a scrap of card from PDA.
Sentiment stamped with My Creative Time and the tiny dragonfly stamp is from a set of 40 in a box that I have had for aeons and never think to use!  :o)

A Christmas selection

Good morning everyone, another dull wet one! I hope you are all well, or getting there, hugs for those who want or need them.
I have now received my blue badge and it was great being able to park in the disable section at the hospital Friday morning :o)
I had a mammoth session making Christmas cards while I was in the mood for them and here are a few of them.

The first one is 8x8 and the rest are 7x5 with the exception of the purple tree one, which is A6.
It is fairly evident how they were constructed so I won't go into detail. If there is anything you want to know, please ask :o)

A5 Christmas card

Good morning everyone I hope you are well or at least getting there...hugs
Thank you for all the lovely messages about my shoulder pain, I really appreciate them.

My card for today is a tad larger than my usual 7x5. I wasn't too sure about it at first but it has grown on me now  :o)

I embossed the trees with TH emb folder and found that the embossing didn't show up on the green glittercard, so what to do with them?
I decided to hand cut them so at least we can see the shape of the trees, but then they were too big for a 7x5 card!!!
After some deliberation and lots of placing and moving them around this is the result.
Papermill Direct white linen card folded to A5.
pearlised card embossed with (no name) embossing folder then layered onto plain greed card from PDA, which was in turn layered onto the card base.TH trees and Memory Box glued on, then Woodware sentiment added, and that's all there is to this very simple card folks :o)

Tattered floral

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs
I've been rummaging in my stash and thought it was about time I used some papers. I haven't bought any for 5 years but still have lots of them!
Everything used in the making of this card is from stash.

I used white hammered card from the PMS folded and cut to 6x6 for the base card.
I covered the card with what I think is Basic Grey paper, but there is no name on it so I can't be sure!
The flower is a TH Tattered Floral die cut, and the edges are inked with Big and Juicy.
Foliage is a Memory Box die cut from a scrap of PDA card.
Sentiment is stamped with My Creative Time.
The gem is from some I bought way back in the mists of time :o)

New TH die

Good morning everyone, what a gloriously sunny Easter day it is here near Derby, I hope you have the same wherever you are.
This is my first card using my new TH Tattered Florals die and I am quite pleased with it :o)

I created my own background again for this one. Same method as on my previous card but using a different M-Bossability A4 folder.
Card blank is PDA card from stash, folded and cut to 6x6.
Dies used are TH, Cheery Lynn, Memory Box and SU punches and stamp.
I cut the flower from a scrap of music paper found in a drawer, then brayed it with the same Big and Juicy inkpad that I did the backing with :o)

Tim Holtz trees

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world and that you haven't had any flooding. Those poor folks in Scotland had it a few weeks ago and now they have it again. I cannot even begin to imagine what it must be like for them...sending cyber hugs for them all.

It's raining again and I have to take the car in for service this morning, then it's on the bus (after 9.30am of course) into Derby to do a bit of shopping. I don't really like going into the cities but heyho, I can't get what I need locally! This will be my second visit to Derby this year LOL, last time was January 2nd!
Anyhow, onto my cards for today, a nearly matching pair :o)

More simple cards I'm afraid.
Both are linencard folded and cut to 5x7.
Pearlised white card embossed with TH trees then matted with plain black card.
Reindeer cut from scraps of white glittercard and holly from black card remnants, both using Memory Box dies.
Stamped greeting from ? to finish :o)

I thought I had better do some stamping before I forget how.....

Good morning everyone, I hope all is as well as it can be  in your world. I cannot believe it's 4 days since I posted. Where has the time gone? Life and work do get in the way sometimes!
I thought it was time to do some stamping for a change. I was watching my friends on Friday night using this technique (I joined them for a cuppa after shopping) so I decided to have a go. Mine isn't as good as theirs but heyho, better luck next time. I spent yesterday morning cutting silhouette figures out on my neglected Cricut to use on my next try.
Anyhow, I digress so without more ado here is my card :o)

It is an 8x8 card simply because I made the main image too big to go on a 6x6!
Call it a senior moment hehehehehe.
I sponged TH distress inks onto plain white card then got stamp happy with SU and Lindsay Mason. I think I may have been a bit heavy handed with the inks! I then layered onto plain black card. The border is the first of my 5 new dies and is a 12" Nestie.
It is such a simple card :o)

Very simple card

Good morning everyone, methinks Autumn really has arrived this morning. I had a wonderful day out with my daughter yesterday, with a smidgin' of retail therapy thrown in for good measure. We had intended going to the Branston Water Park but somehow missed the turning so we picnicked at Blithfield Reservoir, which we found by accident, instead. It was so peaceful and tranquil there watching the sailing dinghies and the fishermen in their boats while we ate. All in all it was a happy accident missing the turning for our intended destination, and we can go there another time.
By the way, those "geese" in my last post were actually swans :o)
Anyway, onto my card which I think could possibly be suitable for a male.

Nothing very exciting about this card, but I am very happy with the way it turned out. I cut and folded the  basecard from some beige card I had in my stash. I bought it at PDA many moons ago. I also used it for the moon, lightly inked, and for the mat. The corrugated card is also from PDA but I bought that last week. I used bronze pearlised card for the Tom Holtz trees inside and outside and a Papermania greeting stamp.
I hope you like it :o)

Two very simple cards

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well with you :o)
Not the best I've ever made but I decided I would show them to you anyway LOL.

The card above may not be the best ever, but I was chuffed that I managed to design the 'let it snow' caption and the snowman border. The HOTP paper is an offcut from years ago

This is my fave of the two. The buff coloured card is from PDA, the reindeer is, I think, a Sizzix diecut from a friend, and of course the TH tree embossing folder. Sentiment stamp has no name on it but I punched it with SU :o)
