White and gold + updated Cricut snowflake card

Good morning Bloggers, I hope you are all well or getting there :o)
It looks very grey and windy out there this morning but at least it isn't raining.  It was a beautiful sunny day yesterday!
Any way, onto my card for today and an updated card.

I decided something had to be done with the sparkly Cricut card (see yesterday's post) as it was lacking, so I added a blue panel behind the snowflake cutout edge and I do believe it lifts it considerably :o)

And now for today's card. While I was in CJs craft shop in Edgely, Stockport, a few weeks ago I spotted a gorgeous white and gold card using this Marianne cut and emboss folder and had to make one myself. My layout and flower are not the same as the one in the shop, it was the white and gold that I wanted to recreate and I am quite pleased with the result. The flower is from an SVG file by Penny Duncan and I cut it on the Cricut, the largest layer being 2.5 inches across. All card used is pearlised white and mirri and I must say that I do like the effect :o)

Cricut card

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you are all well. The day here started off very wet but the we now have wall to wall sunshine :o)
I have been playing with the Cricut again and here is part of the result.

The card is from an SVG file  from the svgBlog. I haven't done anything with the inside yet. I cut the card on the Cricut using white glittercard,  and added the McGill and Woodware punched snowflakes and that's all there is to it :o)

A very simple card.....

.....with freebie paper!
Good morning Bloggers, I hope you are all well or getting there.
This card was soooooooooooo simple to make because all I used was a free paper from the lovely
Jak Heath  and snowflake punches from McGill and Woodware, and an unkown origin sentiment stamp :o)

I will probably add a smidgin of Glamour dust later to lift it a bit
I am off to work this afternoon but I hope you all have a great weekend :o)

More variations on a theme

Good morning Bloggers. I haven't opened the curtains yet so don't know what it's like out there! I hope all is well with everyone, and if not then I hope it soon will be.
For my cards today I have used a photograph of a teazel that I took in my daughter's garden a few years ago.

All very simple cards. All are cut with Nesties and Xcut Nesties and matted onto either mirri or pearlised card. Border on the last one punched with Martha Stewart punch, a couple of ribbon and cord scraps from stash and Bob's yer Uncle, job done. Oooooooooooooooooops! Nearly forgot the greetings. Merry Christmas is from a Woodware word set and season's greetings is from a Peachy Keen set, I think :o)

Not too sure about this one.....

.....it's a bit loud for me!
Good morning everyone. It's been raining overnight but we have some pale blue sky so far this morning, fingers crossed it stays that way.
Right, onto my card which is a bit OTT for me LOL

I designed the doily in SCAL and cut it with the Cricut, then cut the middle out with a Nestie and replaced it with a Nestie cut sentiment from Papermania. Poinsettias are Marianne Designs diecuts and Nellie Snellen punched. Background is mirri card embossed with Cuttlebug folder. I can't remember what I cut the holly leaves with, I found them languishing in a box of bits :o)

Just s few photographs.....

.....yes, I took my cameras for a walk at St Chad's Water again yesterday afternoon. It is such a peaceful and tranquil place to spend an hour or so.
Before I show them to you, I seem to have acquired 2 new followers but haven't a clue who they are as there are no avatars. Whoever you are I would like to say hello and welcome, and maybe you can let me know who you are :o)

These are just a few of the 54 pics I took, I hope that you like them  :o)

Very simple card + I just had to share a comment with you

Good morning everyone. It's a bit of a nondescript start to the day outside, not cold, not warm, pale grey sky and not a bird in sight!
I just had to share this comment on my blog with you, isn't it so beautiful, I was very touched by it. It is from a Spanish gentleman and I had to ask a friend who lives in Spain to translate it for me.
"It is a pleasure to walk through your work that is of an exquisite richness.
I leave all my affection a salutation"
What a beautiful use of words.
Anyhow, on to my card which couldn't be much more simple :o)

I think this is ideal if you need to make a lot of cards in a little time!
Another new embossing folder, embossed straight onto an pale lemon A6 pearlised card then added the Cricut cut bauble, snowflake cut with McGill punch, tiny one at the bottom is the centre from a Marianne poinsettia die set and covers a smudge! No name on sentiment stamp because I can't remember which set it's from :o)

Scrapbook pages and a welcome

Good morning everyone. So far it looks like a nice calm morning out there.
I would like to start the day by welcoming a new follower, hello Christine, thank you for joining me :o)
And now onto my 12x12 DLO. I decided it was time I got my scrapbooking head on as I have not done any since about January!

Of course I had wanted to load them left first then right so they are in sequence but Blogger decided otherwise! Never mind, I am sure that you can work out
which is which :o)
The backing paper was from stash and has no name on.
All brown and orange card is Bazzil, gold mirri also used. Titles created in Scal using Balloon font and cut on Cricut. Round mats were cut with Nesties and Go create. Swirl is from Sizzix long die and the bottom border is the negative from same  :o)

Sunflower card

Good morning everyone. The sun has come out to play and we've got wall to wall blue skies. Cold but beautiful which is, for me, a perfect day. What a shame I have to spoil it by going to work this afternoon!
Any how, onto my card. Isn't it amazing what yo find when you are looking for something else. I printed and cut out these sunflowers from Corel Draw 7 many moons ago, probably more than two years, and then 'lost' them. They came to light the other day, as did the previously brayered background, when I was looking for some not related so I thought HeyHo, I'll make a card then :o)

I printed the sunflowers on photo card. The sentiment stamp has no name on it.
Base card is white linen card :o)

Clock card + a welcome

Good morning everyone, I hope you have survived the storms intact!
I would like to welcome new follower Alison this morning, Hi Alison, I will be round to checkout your blog later :o)
My card this morning is another fairly simple flat card for posting.

I cut and folded plain white card to 6x6 then covered it with paper from stash, sorry I can't remeber whether it is HOTP or Kay&Co. I cut the clock and cogs with the Cricut from copper pearlised card and the sentiment stamp has no name on it! It is truly a card created from old stash :o)

Very simple card

Good morning everyone, methinks Autumn really has arrived this morning. I had a wonderful day out with my daughter yesterday, with a smidgin' of retail therapy thrown in for good measure. We had intended going to the Branston Water Park but somehow missed the turning so we picnicked at Blithfield Reservoir, which we found by accident, instead. It was so peaceful and tranquil there watching the sailing dinghies and the fishermen in their boats while we ate. All in all it was a happy accident missing the turning for our intended destination, and we can go there another time.
By the way, those "geese" in my last post were actually swans :o)
Anyway, onto my card which I think could possibly be suitable for a male.

Nothing very exciting about this card, but I am very happy with the way it turned out. I cut and folded the  basecard from some beige card I had in my stash. I bought it at PDA many moons ago. I also used it for the moon, lightly inked, and for the mat. The corrugated card is also from PDA but I bought that last week. I used bronze pearlised card for the Tom Holtz trees inside and outside and a Papermania greeting stamp.
I hope you like it :o)

A few photographs

On Wednesday morning I took my car in for it's service and then strolled down to the old overgrown canal with my cameras. These are just a few of the photographs I took. After a very wet and miserable day Tuesday, as you can see, it was a glorious morning with a mediterranean blue sky :o)

As I don't walk too well, by the time I got back to the garage I was struggling so they gave me a lift home and then brought my car home for me when it was done, great service with a smile :o)

Stop Press! Thank you for your lovely comments everyone, but the "geese" are actually swans :o)

New embossing and cut and emboss folders.....

.....three of them!
Two Crafts Too folders and one Marianne designs cut and emboss folder and I did enjoy playing with them :o)

I made the roses made using a borrowed Marianne die, used Leone Em punch for the leaves, and a mixture of Xcut, Leone Em and ? punches for the flowers. All the flutterbies are from Martha Stewart punches and the tiny dragonflies from a Xcut punch. Romantic sentiment is a PB stamp heat embossed, and the sentiment on the easel card is SU cut with SU punches :o)

A wonderful day.....

.....was had by all :o)
We set off at 8am yesterday in the rain, it's rained all the way to Macclesfield, all day while we were there, and all the way home until we got back to Derby where the ground was dry. We had a wonderful day of laughter, chinwagging and retail therapy with a little bit of crafting thrown in for good measure. Despite all that I only made 1 4x4 minicard but we were all busy making flowers for future use :o)
Here is the little card I made

I cut the card shape with an Xcut nestie then embossed it with an FF folder. I borrowed our hostess's punches (sorry, don't know the make) to cut and emboss the poisettias and another friend's Marianne leaf dies, and a tiny star punch for the centres. Sorry I can't remember what stamp set the sentiment came from. it really was very simple to make :o)

Back to cards using own photographs

I am much later than normal today but they do say "better late than never". I won't be here in the morning to upload because I am off to Macclesfield to have a wonderful crafting day with friends WooHooooooooo :o)
Anyway, on to my cards for today. The photographs were taken at St Chad's Water last week and I have only just had time to use them!

Sorry to say I cannot remember the maker of the embossing folder, it may be Craft Concepts but I'm not sure! Other equipment used is MS punch, Leone Em punch
and Nesties :o)

PS. Thank you to Elizabeth (Silver Scrapper) for reminding me that the embossing folder is from SU :o)

Variations on a theme

Good morning Bloggers, I hope you are all well. I am cock-a-hoop because this is the first day of a whole week off work WeyHeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
On to my cards for today. They are just variations and colours of one I posted the other day so I hope they don't bore you too much LOL.

I could have kicked myself when I realised that on the purple one I had stuck the DS tape on the embossed side, but I think it still works debossed, just not so clearly defined had it been on the right side!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As on the first one I made, the same Marianne Designables I call them Marianne Creatables in the last one and I woz wrong) cut and emboss folders were used, and the McGill, Woodware and Leone Em punches :o)

Back to own photographs and a welcome.....

.....to a new follower Cheryl, thank you for joining me Cheryl :o)
Okay it was only a short break from my photographs LOL. These two photographs are from the ones I took at St Chad's Lake and I didn't get around to making the cards until now.

As you can see, they are extremely simple. I am not one for lots of embellishments as you may well have noticed, but I did add a Cricut cut swirl to the top one LOL. Sentiments are SU stamps and the mat for the honesty is mirri card cut with an Xcut die :o)

A change from Christmas and own photographs

Good morning everyone. I know it won't suit all of you but for me it's thank goodness the weather has cooled down, I was just about on my last legs!
Anyway, onto my card which is a big change from my recent ones :o)

All the card used is pearlised. I used a Marianne cut and emboss folder for the main panel and punches used were McGill, Woodware and Martha Stewart, and little pearls for the flower centres. Unfortunately the glue was still wet when I stood the card up to take it's pic and the leaves slipped a bit, but I was able to rectify it, thank goodness. I didn't want to have to bin it :o)

Very simple charity cards + a big thank you

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well with you :o)
Believe it or not, last week a frozen shoulder, this week a horrible cough and cold. I hope it's all done with soon as I break up next weekend for a week off work and don't want to be coughing the week away!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now for the thank you for all your wonderful comments on my previous card which I had thought was too dull and dismal for a Christmas card but it seems it has the thumbs up all round, so I won't bin it after all :o)
Now onto today's cards which I have kept so simple it only took me 45 minutes to make them including the inserts!

All except the top one are digi toppers I created with my own photographs. The odd one out is a Corel Draw 7 image with added greeting. I have made then for the League of Friends at Ilkeston Hospital and theya re all printed directly onto the card. I stamped the greetings onto the Southern belle and penguin cards :o)

A bit of an experiment playing with images and my photogrpahs

Good morning everyone, I know you are probably all enjoing this very unseasonal weather but I am suffering with all this heat and I want Autumn to come back pleeeeeeeeeeeeease!
Anyway, onto my card. What can I say about it? I was ready to bin it but a couple of friends told me they love it!

The background is my own photograph taken through my sitting room window. The sleigh is an svg from Scrapping Table to which I have added a scroll. The "reindeer" - antelope really but heyho, it's cardmakers licence - is an image from CorelDraw7 which, in computer years, is ancient LOL. I have converted it to an svg then strung them together, but the small one is too small as it's legs are so thin they broke as I pulled them of the cutting
mat :o( The sentiment is my own Scal image and it, and the swirl, is covered with Glamour Dust. I drew the star with gluepen and dusted it too. Personally I am still not too sure that it's worth saving but I will be guided by all of you :o)
