Christmas 34

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

I got soaked coming out of work just before 10 o'clock last night, but the temperature was still 15C. The rain came heavier later but at least it has stopped now!

Back to Christmas for my offering today, I can't believe how close it is now and I am nowhere near ready, I have usually just about finished my cards by this time of the year and started on my cousin's 4o or so!

Basecard is my usual white linencard, folded and cut to just under 6x6.
My own stitched square, cut on my old Cricut from red linencard, then layered onto gold mirri card, as is the (unkown) stamped sentiment but that was cut with Die-namics round stitched dies.
Marianne Poinsettia cut from plain red/green card and foliage punched with McGill and Leone Em punches.
A smidgin of Glamour Dust to finish.
Methinks I had better get crackin' and get the rest made :o)

And now for something different, second attempt!

Good sunny Tuesday morning Bloggers, I hope all is well where you are...hugs

I have already done this once, then pressed the wrong button and lost it all, with a lot of blue air over Borrowash!!!

I have gone back to one of the styles I used to do many moons ago for this one.
I have 4 x A4  boxes, each with 17 little boxes in them full of leaves, flowers, balloons, stars and so on ad infinitum. All of them were punched and diecut from scraps probably 5 years ago, and then forgotten. I came across them and decided they had been inloved for lopng enough so I have brought them out of exile!

This is the first card made using some of them, and I will be making more over the coming weeks/months.

As Usual, the base card is linencard folded and cut to my favourite 7x5.
Next up is the pearlised panel embossed with Couture Creations Chainlink fence,
Thern comes the frame, which is the negative from a Spellbinders diecut.
The leaves are are, if I remember correctly, a combination from Spellbinders, Leone Em, maybe Xcut and ?
Flower cut with Tim Holtz Tattered Flower die.
Shading was rubbed in lightly using gilding wax.
I am fairly pleased with it even though my faves are CAS cards.
Beacuse of the faffing about getting this onto my blog, it may take me a day or two to catch up with your usually wonderful uploads, please bear with me :o)

3 new Darice folders

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs
For the first time this week, we have woken up to wall to wall blue skies and sunshine :o)

Over the past few weeks I have bought 3 more Darice embossing folders and these are the cards made using them for the first time, I hope you like.

I love these Darice folders despite their small size, they are so clearly defined and well suited to being the main subject of the card.
All card used is from stash, folded and cut to 7x5.
It is fairly self explanatory how they were made so I won't go into detail.
Punches used are from SU, Martha Stewart, Woodware and Leone Em and Xcut.
Sentiment stamps used are from Stamps and Smiles, My Creative Time and ?

Vintage 8x8

Good morning Bloggers, and what a beautiful sunny one it is too after a few very dull days. I hope all is well in your world...hugs.
I have been enjoying seeing lots of vintage cards lately and it set me to thinking, it wasn't too painful LOL. I went through my old family photographs and found this photograph of my paternal Grandma. On 26th December this photograph will be 100 years old, it was taken on my Grandparent's wedding day, and although I could be accused of being a tad biased, I think she looks beautiful!

I cut two 8x8 squares of plain white card for the base then ran the front one through the  Embossalicious  folder. I scored the back one about an inch in then attached with the strong red DS tape. Frame is the negative from a Nestie cut.
Punches used are Leone Em, McGill, Martha Stewart and Woodware with a dob of liquid pearls for the flower centers, and a scrap of ribbon from stash completes it :o)

It's that daisy again

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world :o)
I am sorry to say that I haven't so far managed to source any of the gold and silver linen card I mentioned previously. I went to PDA yesterday (I am lucky enough to live only 12 miles from them) and got some of theirs which is quite different but I bought some anyway. Their linen card is more knobbly than my favourite one but still good, and their gold is not what I would call gold, more bronze but still nice. They call it casino gold. I also found some gold and silver that is finely fluted so I had to buy some of that too, watch out for it coming up on my cards later :o) Having said all that, if anyone finds any like the Kanban one anywhere please let me know :o)
Okay, I'll stop waffling, here is my card for today!

This is a 7x7 card cut with another of my new Grand nesties and embossed with my new A4 MBossability folder. The ivory and the fawn cardcards are both pearlised from stash and the pink and green is from scraps. Once again the daisy is from me 'rediscovered' Sizzix Bigz die and the foliage is Leone Em punch and Cheery Lynn die. It's the first airing for the Docrafts baker's twine. Flower centre brad is from stash :o)

Back to my photographs...

...sorry, I can't stay away from them for long :o)
Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well in your world, as it is in mine.
I have just ordered my ticket for the Hunkydory Craft Show at Donnington Park in August and I am sooooooooooo looking forward to it :o)
I am off to Byrkley Park this morning to see if I can get some more of the gorgeous Papermania textured card, it's great for printing on.
Anyhow, on to my cards for today, yes, it's a set and they are all pink and white :o)

All the photograph are printed onto pink Bazzill and cut out with Nesties and layered onto red Bazzill. I have also used the same red and pink  Bazzill for the lattice and foliage which was cut with Memory Box, Marianne and Cheery Lynn dies and Leone Em punch. Sentiment stamps are SU :o)

Wedding or engagement card

Stop Press! I have changed to Google Chrome and now my blog is behaving beautifully (fingers crossed) :o)

Good morning Bloggers, I am hoping I can upload this, but we will see! I am still having problems with blogger and it's driving me crazy. I am having to go the long way round to visit you but hopefully I will get to you eventually. Once I get in I can do most things but I cannot access my comment moderation page so if your comment hasn't appeared yet that is why. I can read them in my emails though so I have seen all the lovely comments that haven't yet appeared on my blog, thank you so much everyone :o)
On to my card for today, whit is a tad OTT for me but I am quite happy with it.

There are a couple of firsts on this one for me. First time using pins and first time using my Marianne Anja corner, although you can't see much of it LOL.
Dies used are Marianne, Cheery Lynn and Nesties, punches used are Woodware and Leone Em, and it's all put together on  a 5x7 basecard which I cut anf folded from white linen card.
I do hope this loads up okay (fingers crossed) :o)

Ivory and green

Good morning everyone. What a difference a day makes. We've gone from wall to wall sunshine yesterday to wall to wall grey, wild and very wet today! Still, we do desperately need the wet stuff so I'm not complaining.
For my card today I am back to dies and punchart, I do love playing with cutting and punching :o)

The basecard is ivory linen card, the foliage and mat are green linen card and the embossed panel, flutterbies  and flowers are ivory pearl card. Flower centres are liquid pearls.
I used;
Leone Em and Woodware punches for the flowers.
Martha Stewart punch for the flutterbies.
Cheery Lyn dies for the foliage
Have a great day everyone :o)

A birthday card and a welcome

Good morning Bloggers.  First a welcome to Elaine, my latest follower :o)
Well the morning couldn't be more different from yesterday if it tried. Yesterday was blue skies and sunshine all the way and I was out walking round St Chad's Water in my cardi. This morning it is dull and grey, windy and quite cool!
Anyway, on to my card for today. It is a card for my favourite waitress at George's where I go for my lunch every Thursday.

The basecard is Bazzill, folded and cut on the Grand Calibur  to 6x6. Paper is from stash and I have had it so long I can't remember wher it was from. The sentiment and 50 were cut from Bazzill on the Cricut. Leaves were punched with Leone Em and flowers with Woodware punches, and tiny pearls from stash for the flower centres. Ooops! I nearly forgot to say that the flowers were punched from a scrap of paper which I used on another card!  :o)

Back to cards using own photographs

I am much later than normal today but they do say "better late than never". I won't be here in the morning to upload because I am off to Macclesfield to have a wonderful crafting day with friends WooHooooooooo :o)
Anyway, on to my cards for today. The photographs were taken at St Chad's Water last week and I have only just had time to use them!

Sorry to say I cannot remember the maker of the embossing folder, it may be Craft Concepts but I'm not sure! Other equipment used is MS punch, Leone Em punch
and Nesties :o)

PS. Thank you to Elizabeth (Silver Scrapper) for reminding me that the embossing folder is from SU :o)

Variations on a theme

Good morning Bloggers, I hope you are all well. I am cock-a-hoop because this is the first day of a whole week off work WeyHeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
On to my cards for today. They are just variations and colours of one I posted the other day so I hope they don't bore you too much LOL.

I could have kicked myself when I realised that on the purple one I had stuck the DS tape on the embossed side, but I think it still works debossed, just not so clearly defined had it been on the right side!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As on the first one I made, the same Marianne Designables I call them Marianne Creatables in the last one and I woz wrong) cut and emboss folders were used, and the McGill, Woodware and Leone Em punches :o)

Flutterbies

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well with you.
I bought this gorgeous rusty coloured pearlised card from Byrkley Park a couple of weeks ago - sadly there will be no more :o(  - and wanted to do something with it. Here is the result which I am quite pleased with :o)

Quite a simple card, I cut and folded the base card to 5x7 which seems to be my favourite size lately. Martha Stewart flutterbies, Leone Em leaves and Marianne Designables cut & emboss folder. That's all there is to it No stamps, no inky mess :o)

A bit of an experiment

Good morning Bloggers and what a lovely calm, sunny day it is so far :o)
I was spending time punching flutterbies and leaves out of scrap bits of silver mirri and white pearlised card using Martha Stewart and Leone Em punches and then decided I should use some of them to make up a card. Not too sure about this one as it was an experiment, but I thought I would show you anyway :o)

I had meant to do a gatefold card for a change but silly me, I folded it wrong so it ended up being a tall slimline one and didn't want to waste the card! I still have to do something with the inside.  I cut the background on the Cricut :o)

Violets

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well with you.
It's looking a bit dull here so far but still very warm!
I stamped this beatiful image up at a friend's house so I don't know where it's from.
Such a beautiful, delicate looking stamp.

I coloured it with copics, of course, cut it out with Xcut nestie then sponged the edges with Brilliance inkpad.
Punched flowers with Woodware punches from pearlised paper, same as the mat.
Leaves are from McGill or Leone Em punch, sorry can't remember which! I cut and folded linen card to 5x7 :o)
Jackie xx
Thank you very much to Viv  who tells me that this is a Hampton Arts stamp,
thank you Viv :o)
