Card for my cousin's youngest grandson

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world. As for me, well I do not like this unseasonal warmth at all, last week I was scraping my car when I came out of work at 10pm, now I am roasting!!!!!

My cousin's youngest Grandson is soon to be 18, between Christmas and the New Year. Along with his Dad, he is a market trader, and he is also a cyclist as well as being welded to his mobile phone LOL. I have made cards for him featuring mobile phones before so decided to give them a miss this time!

Why does it never upload them in the order I do them?????
Front is an old postcard of Long Eaton market as it used to be, it has never been the same since they moved it!!! BUT, I suppose it is safer in these days of congested roads etc. I do remember well how we used to take our life into our hands when shopping there LOL.
Sentiment is computer generated, with a Memory Box diecut bicycle seemingly pulling it along like a banner!
Inside is a map showing the general area where they live and a memory Box Penny Farthing bicycle.
I was a bit unsure about whether it was suitable for an 18 year old young man but I am assured by his Grandma and Grandad, and his Dad, that he will love it :o)

...and another one from my bit boxes

Good morning everyone, I see it has been raining heavily overnight, I hope you are all warm and dry...hugs.

I cannot believe that it is only 4 week to Christmas day, where did the time go?

Once again I turned to my bit boxes for my card share today, and found these lovely leaves. I took me a couple of days deep thought (in betweet chapters of the gripping book I am reading) before I came up with the wreath idea for them LOL.

Card used is Papermill Direct ivory linencard and PDA brown card.
Card size is 6x6, or more correctly, it will fit into a 6x6 envelope.
I can't remember whether I punched or diecut the leaves, it's years I did them and I can't find a punch or a die in my stash that fits them , must have used one of my friend's or I have sold them or given them away LOL.
While I was looking I came across the wonderful old Stampendous sentiment stamp :o)

Yet another one from my bits box

Good frosty morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs
I do love these crisp mornings although I wasn't too keen on having to scrape the car when I came out of work at 10pm last night Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Having said that, I am not too keen on the thick fog we have with it this morning!!!

I only used 1 bit from me old bits boxes for mt today's offering, but I used some bits of ivory linencardcard from my scrap box too.

This is one for the box.
I don't like to put 'sympathy' or 'condolences' on cards, I much prefer  'thinking of you'.
Card used is Ivory linencard, folded and cut to 7x5, and red semi-matt card.
Sentiment stamp from SU.
I don't think any explanation is required as it is fairly obvious :o)

Button tree

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

I am limited for time as I have to go for my 'flu jab at 8.24am, so I will have to come back later to check out your blogs.

I first saw a button tree by a very talented lady who no longer blogs, and this is my version, but I originally made a flutterby tree instead as I had no buttons.

Card used is ivory linencard from Papermill Direct, and plain brown card from PDA.
Dies used are Memory Box Tree and Spellbinder nesties.
Sentiment stamped with My Creative Time.

This it the flutterby tree I did and posted back in March, just for comparison :o)

Another one using some of the bits I 'found'

Good morning everyone, I cannot believe how the time is flying! I hope all is well in your world...hugs.

I decided I wanted to make an aperture card and this is what I came up with.

White linencard folded and cut to 7x5 for the base card, then I cut the aperture with Spellbinder die.
Photograph inside is one I took many years ago at Bonsall village, near Matlock Bath. It was such a typically English country garden and looked so beautiful.
Diecuts and punched pieces are all from the boxes I rediscovered last week
Not much else I can say about it really LOL.
I spent some of yesterday making up vellum flowers from diecuts outta the boxes so I will hopefully be making at least one  card today :o)

And now for something different, second attempt!

Good sunny Tuesday morning Bloggers, I hope all is well where you are...hugs

I have already done this once, then pressed the wrong button and lost it all, with a lot of blue air over Borrowash!!!

I have gone back to one of the styles I used to do many moons ago for this one.
I have 4 x A4  boxes, each with 17 little boxes in them full of leaves, flowers, balloons, stars and so on ad infinitum. All of them were punched and diecut from scraps probably 5 years ago, and then forgotten. I came across them and decided they had been inloved for lopng enough so I have brought them out of exile!

This is the first card made using some of them, and I will be making more over the coming weeks/months.

As Usual, the base card is linencard folded and cut to my favourite 7x5.
Next up is the pearlised panel embossed with Couture Creations Chainlink fence,
Thern comes the frame, which is the negative from a Spellbinders diecut.
The leaves are are, if I remember correctly, a combination from Spellbinders, Leone Em, maybe Xcut and ?
Flower cut with Tim Holtz Tattered Flower die.
Shading was rubbed in lightly using gilding wax.
I am fairly pleased with it even though my faves are CAS cards.
Beacuse of the faffing about getting this onto my blog, it may take me a day or two to catch up with your usually wonderful uploads, please bear with me :o)

Ivory and brown

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs.

I am very happy to report that my car is now M.O.Td and taxed for another year,  and had it's Winter check so that's the biggest item out of the way :o)

I went to the Doc yesterday and he confirmed what I already thought, I have arthritis in my left hand, but it's early days yet so the pain is bearable, certainly not as bad as the shoulder and back pains. HeyHo, that's the price of getting old LOL! Isn't it strange that until I was 70, I hardly ever needed to visit the Doctor's, but now everyting is going to pot!!!!! Thank goodness for cardmaking :o)

Anyhow, enough of my rambling, I know there are lots of peeps out there far worse off than me so I'd better stop grumbling!

Onto my card for today!

I do love sepia whether it's old photographs or cards, and although this is Memento Cocoa, it is near enough!
Base card is ivory linencard from Papermill Direct, folded and cut to 7x5.
I stamped Woodware grasses onto it twice, then the Stampendous agapanthus cluster onto a small scrap of the same card. I inked the edge of the panel and attached it with foam pads to lift it.
Sentiment is an old stamp from Stamps and Smiles and Bob's yer Uncle, the card is finished. Didn't take very long to make :o)

Last of my three "finds"

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world, and you are warm and dry...hugs

I went to PDA at Langley Mill yesterday afternoon to get some brown textured card that I love and I only had 1 sheet left. They are in the middle of moving things around and enlarging the shop area so they have lots more stamps and dies etc. than the last time I went around November last year.

Of course I bought more than the brown card I went for LOL. I also got some white double sided pearlised card, and a couple of embossing folders including the chicken wire one that I have long wanted, and my first jar of gilding wax to play with. Add the 200 envelopes and my proposed £10 spend became £40+ LOL.

Here is the last of my three finds in my craftroom, no doubt there will be many others that haven't seen ink!

I used the same ivory linencard, from Papermill Direct, that I used on the other two, but this time I folded and cut it to 6x6.
Brown card is the same as the one I bought at PDA yesterday.
Pink pearlised card is only one sided, which I had forgotten, and I put it into the Embossalicious folder the wrong way so what you see is the debossed side!
Staped the Papermania sentiment onto an offcut of the ivory linencard and coloured with Copics. I added Glossy accents to the pink lettering but you can't see it here!
Dies used are Spellbinders and Provocraft :o)

Number two of my "finds"

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world and you are warm and dry...hugs

I am on holiday from work this week, getting my second breath before the Christmas rush, so I am hoping to spend a fair bit of it in the craftroom!

This is the second of three from the Papermania sentiment stamps that I "found" whilst looking for something else. Did I find what I was originally looking for? No, cuz I forgot what it was LOL.

Once again, basecard is ivory linencard from Papermill Direct, folded and cut to 7x5.
Image stamped onto a scrap of the same card then coloured with red copic and an ordinary gold pen which I bought aeons ago for writing Christmas cards out and never used LOL.
Dies used are Memory Box and Spellbinders, and Woodware punches.
Tiny pearls from stash coloured with copic pen.
Gold card is Kanban from before they closed down :o)

Best wishes

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all warm and dry, oh boy did we have some rain yesterday and yes, I got caught in it...hugs

I was ferreting in my craft room, as you do, and came across three stamps bought many moons ago and never inked, so I had to rectify that immediately. This is the first one!

A very simple card, I used Papermill Direct ivory linen card, folded and cut to 7x5. You may have noticed that this is my favourite size card LOL.
I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap of the same card and coloured it with Copics, then cut it with Spellbinders.
Corner cut with Memory Box die, tiny pearls coloured with Copic pen.
Brown textured and green card from scrap box :o)

Another giraffe

Good morning everyone, what a lovely crisp Autumn start to the day, maybe now we will start getting the gorgeous colours we normally expect at this time of the year.
I hope all is well in your world, wherever you are...hugs

My card today is about as simple as they get. I was ferreting in a drawer and found this wonderful Stampendous stamp which I had forgotten about, so it seems I haven't yet finished with giraffes LOL.

I used Copics to colour the little fellow in.
Base card is ivory linen from Papermill Direct, folded and cut to 7x5.
Sentiment stamped with  Stamps and Smiles.
The image was just right to use a the scrap from cutting the card to size :o)

Great-grandson's birthday

Good morning everyone on this very misty start to the day, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

Ryan was 9 on Sunday, where does the time go to, seems like only yesterday that I became a great-granny!!! I made a gift card wallet for him and he was tickled to see himself on it :o)

 Ryan posing

Ryan with his mum and dad (my grandson Ben)

I took the photograph on the wallet on Christmas morning last year.
Background and font colour taken from his jimmyjams.
Font used it Ryan.
Scrap of MME card from the scrap box.

The rest of my cousin's order

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world.....hugs

After the last mammoth commission from my cousin I was so pleased to have this simple set of 6 to make. She loves browns, as do I,  so  I set too with gusto. The only colouring on this set is a tiny bit of shading with a Copic pen :o)

Three kings is an image from my very old (1990s) CorelDraw 7. I had to convert it to a png in PSP7 then changed colour to brown. I printed it straight onto the ivory linen card...from Papermill Direct...then added the text using Papyrus font before folding and cutting to 7x5.
Bethlehem image is a little stamp from Art Impressions, which I stamped with Memento inkpad, then cut with Spellbinders.
Brown textured card was from PDA aeons ago :o)
