Commisssion x 2

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

I am having to type in between coughing, sniffling and sneezing so I will be brief! Hopefully it will be over in time for Christmas...

So, onto my cards for today, both very simple, this customer does love CAS.

Both cards are 7x5, folded and cut from my usual white A4 linencard.
Silver fluted card is from PDA.
Blue card is from scrapobox.
You have seen my snowy teazel photograph before, taken about 8 years ago in my daughter's garden. I think, apart from my robins, this is my most used photograph over the years LOL.
Image and mat cut with Spellbinders dies.
Computer generated sentiment cut with SU punches, probably my most used punches ever!

This money wallet is for a 14 year old boy.
Name cut with Memory Box Alpha dies.
Stitched fishtail s cut with Die-namics dies.
snowflakes stamped with? Had the set since the year dot and I didn't save names in those days :o)

Christmas penguins

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

OMG, I have normally finished all my cards and written them out by now, but I still have inserts to print then fold and cut and attach. I have to get the overseas ones finished by the weekend or they may not get them in time!!!

Oh well, onward and upward!

For my cards today I couldn't let Christmas come and go without my penguin photographs seeing the light of day again so here they are LOL.

Oh wow, I didn't know we could drag and drop our images now, brilliant
I said photographs, but it is actually one photograph that I took at Twycross Zoo about 2007! I feathered it then mirrored it in PSP7 to get the pair above.
Both basecards are folded and cut from A4 sheets of white linencard, one to approx. 6x6 and one to 7x5.
Both sentiments are computer generated.
Penguin pair cut with Spellbinders pierced square dies.
The single penguin cut with Spellbinders die too but I can't remember the name of it!
Mats on both cut from gold lincard, as is the Memory Box ivy.

That's all there is to them, very simple cards indeed :o)

Friday night workshop

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs to all of you who want or need them.

1st of December already and the shoppers are out in force, it was manic at the tills last night!!!

It was my turn to host our Friday night workshop a couple of weeks ago, and I didn't have time to make a sample, so I just made up 3 identitical kits (apart from colours) and we each 'did our own thing' with them LOL

Below is what we came up with :o)

Pauline's on the left, Sandra's in the middle and mine on the right.
Pauline left space on hers for sentiment.
Photograph taken in artificial light so true colours difficult to determine.

This is mine close up and taken in natural light so the colours are pretty much true!
Basecards are approx. 6x6, folded and cut from A4 sheet if white linencard.
Grey layers are from a DCWV sheet, embossed with Crafters Companion 8x8 Distressed folder, mine is grey Coredinations so I was able to sand it.
All leaves cut with Memory Box dies from DCWV card.
All flowers cut from pearlised card with Sue Wilson dies.
We raided my gems box and each used different stuff from it.
Tiny brad (had them for many years) used for my flower centre, the girls used pearls for theirs.
I pierced the white panels with Spellbinders :o)

10 card commission

Good morning everyone, I hope all is as well as it can be with you...hugs

The wind is still blowing here but at least it is drying up again, and it isn't really cold yet, although the forecast says it soon will be!

My cousin asked me for 10 of these cards in brown and Ivory, she does so love her browns, and I do too so it was a real pleasure making them for her. Having said that, it is always a real pleasure making cards :o)

Basecard is ivory linencard from the PaperMill shop before they all closed a few years ago, folded and cut to 7x5
Brown textured card is from PDA.
Own photograph of course, you have seen the original when I posted my white version of this card.
Photograph feathered in PSP7 onto same ivory card, an cut with Spellbinders pierced oval die, then raised with sticky foam strips.
White pearlised card used for the panel which is embossed with Darice then lightly chalked.
I added a smidgeon of golf Glamour Dust which isn't very noticeable here, but is very twinkly IRL.
Sentiment stamped with Stamps and Smiles.

I had a little play with paperpiecing, long time since I last did any, and this little card is the result. I dug out an old Stampendous, Retro Trees, stamp for this one.
This is just a little A6 card, a size I rarely make. While I was looking for something else, I came across an A5 box full of hammered card which I had folded into A6 cards years ago and forgotten about, so it looks like I will be making lots more this size for a while LOL.
Green paper background is from my scrapbox, and I stamped the trees onto white linencard scrap, then onto the same green paper. I fussy cut them and stuck them on, then stamped the sentiment with the same stamp as on the set of cards.
I quite like the effect and will possibly do it again :o)

Juvenile starling

Good morning Bloggers, I hope you are all well or at least improving...hugs

I cannot believe it's Thursday again already, have they popped another one into the week while my back was turned?

For my card today, I used one of my first  photographs taken when I first bought my new camera back in June. I took this one through my then dirty kitchen window and was so chuffed with the detail on the birds feathers. This was the one that convinced me I had bought the right camera :o)

Anyhow, on to my card!

I didn't want any embellishments taking the eye away from this little birdie, hence the very CAS card.
Basecard is my usual white linencard, folded and cut to 7x5.
I feathered the photograph in PSP7 and printed it onto the same white card,  then cut it with Spellbinders pierced oval die.
Mat cut with Spellbinders pierced rectangle  die.
Topper raised with sticky foam strips.
I think I could use this for almost any occasion and for male or female :o)

Christmas 33

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

Sorry it's another Christmas card but it will soon be here. I've been making them all year round but still only halfway there! I promise that the next one I post won't be a Christmas card, not so sure after that though LOL.

Just a simple scene but several layers about 6 of them!
Basecard is my usual white linencard, folded and cut to fir into a 6x6 envelope.
I designed the starlayer in SCAL and cut with my very old Cricut, then backed with silver mirri card.  the smaller stars were added with silver Sakura pen
Wavy glittercard layers cut with Spellbinder dies.
Tall trees embossed with Tim Holtz/Sizzix embossing folder, then handcut.
sentiment stamped with Anita's stamp then cut with Die-namics die.
My own stitched squre mat made into frame.
I have seen similar scene cards in Docraft galleries so I have to say it is a mishmash inspired by several people :o)

Friday night workshop cards.....

.....this time friend Pauline was the hostess, with her wonderful hubby Rob keeping us supplied in tea and cakes!

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all as well as you can be...hugs

Yesterday I went to Byrkley Park and spent a lot few pennies in the craft shop. I also managed to make a couple of cards which I will show later. I cannot believe my week off is already half gone BooHoo!  Never mind, I have another one to come in November LOL

Anyhow, here are my cards from our workshop

Sorry I can't give detail because I don't have them, they were both kitted ready for us to start!
I believe that most of the materials were SU with some Spellbinder's dies thrown in
We did the faux stitching with a fine liner and I managed to make a mess of handcutting the fishtails
but you can get the feel for what it should look like LOL

Friday night workshop card.....

.....this time by me!

Good morning everyone, another dull start to the day.
I hope all is well in your world, wherever you are ...hugs

It was my turn to host our Friday night workshop a couple of weeks ago. I did create 2 cards but you have already seen one of them earlier, it was the one with the two little blackbirds on, so  no need to upload it again!

This one is based on a card I made a few weeks ago but we each used a different stamp from an SU set.

Card base is a 7x7 ready folded from Papermania.
Image stamped onto 160gsm smooth white card from Staples, then coloured with Copics and the sky is chalked.
Offcut frame, the diecut panel was for another card a while ago, lifted with sticky foam pads.
Own clouds designed in SCAL and cut with my old Cricut.
Spellbinders frame and clouds cut from Papermania textured card.
Penny Black dragonflies stamped with Brilliance pearlescent ink.
Memory Box diecut foliage.
Computer generated sentiment punched with SU :o)

One stamp, two cards

Good morning fellow Bloggers, I hope all is well with you and your families...hugs

It's dull and overcast here in the Derby area, but still quite warm and the evenings seem to be very sticky this week!

I was looking for something in my craftroom, as you do, and came across this 2006 Penny Black stamp which hasn't seen ink for quite a while so I thought it was time to resurrect it. I love it because it is such a happy image :o)

It was very strong sunlight when I took the pic of the second one (last week, not seen the sun since!) so it looks a bit bleached!
Both basecards are my usual white linencard from The Range, folded and cut to just undar 6x6 and 7x5 respectively.
I stamped the image with Memento ink onto 160gsm smooth white card from Staples, coloured with Copics then cut with Spellbinders dies (first card) and Die-namics dies (second card)
Blue card is a pearlised bit from the scrap box. Grey card is Papermania textured card
Both sentiments are cling stamps with no name.
I added a dash of Glamour Dust to the white images but it doesn't show up here!
Tiny stars are wast from a border die.
Both cards intentionally CAS :o)

Watch the birdies

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs

It's overcast here this morning, as it was yesterday all day. Still, it's dry and warm!

The little fun birds on my card for today were inspired by Docrafter Jackie-J.
I saw hers and thought "I can do that" LOL.  So here is my version, the card is quite different from Jackie's. I have made up kits for my Friday night workshop this week

A4 white linencard folded and trimmed to nearly 6x6.
All card used is from stash.
Yellow layer attachd to basecard, then white layer cut with Memory Box large circlebust die attached.
"Grass" cut with Spellbinders wavy pierced die.
Birds cut with Woodware round punch then cut in half.
Scraps used for beaks and combs, stickybacked pearl for eyes.
Woodware sentiment stamp.
Just a bit of nonsense but I enjoyed playing :o)

Vellum flowers

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

My card today was inspired by two of my Docrafts friends Miella and June. In my early days of crafting I used flower punches and stamps a lot, and vellum. I have so enjoyed travelling back in time LOL. Miella and June have been using some beautiful flower stamps which I just had to buy and this card is the result!

The flower stamps are from Honey Doo Crafts, the leaves at the top are from Elizabeth Craft Designs and the one at the bottom are from Crealie Craft designs.
I stamped the flowers onto very pale pink vellum with Brilliance Pearlescent Lavender, then heat embossed with SU White Pearl translucent powder, then handcut them.
In my stash, I found a small piece of graduated green vellum which I used for the leaves.
I cut ther ovals using Spellbinders pierced oval dies.
Little Martha Stewart flutterby covers a nasty ink blot, otherwise that corner would have been blank LOL.
Sentiment stamped with ?
Clear gems colours with Copic marker pen.
White card is my usual linencard and the card size is 7x5.
I have really enjoyed my trip back to my early crafting days and will be making
some more :o)

Bits and pieces

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well in your world...hugs
Just like yesterday the sun was shining at 6am and now, nearly an hour later, it is overcast and dismal!

My offering for today is a pair of mini thank you cards made from offcuts and my bits boxes!

The basecards are offcuts from other cards and mesaure just 2.5" x 3.5"
I stamped and coloured the coneflower image at a friend's house some years ago and then forgot all about it until I was looking for something else, as you do LOL.
I cut it, and a pink mat using a Spellbinders die with a piece of card from my scrap box.
I made the Tim Holtz daisy with vellum several months ago, and added a
gem brad from stash.
The leaves were chalked using the negative from a Memory Box leaf die as a stencil.
Sentiments stamped with Stamps and Smiles :o)

Out of my comfort zone

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

Much as I love to see everyone's cute cards, they are not my favourite ones to make, hence my title for today's offering, so without more ado, here it is!

I decided on a round card which I cut with Spellbinders scalloped dies.
It is approx 5" which is smaller than my norm.
LOTV image coloured with Copics, then cut with Die-namics round stitched die.
A very simple card :o)

New home cards.....

.....for two of my very good friends Viv and Pam, who recently moved into bungalows, one at the seaside and one in beautiful North Derbyshire.

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs.

I cannot believe how quickly my week off work is going and I haven't made many cards, but I have been playng with SCAL. Had my car serviced Monday morning so I could have a fresh start for the week! I've also been out a couple of time with my new camera, which I am really loving, and even pulled in a delicious pub lunch with my cousin yesterday. Oh, and last but not least, I visited The Range and Hobbycraft, just for essentials like the Xcut 13" guillotine which I use in my craftroom, and my old but still good 12" Xcut I use downstairs LOL!

Onto my cards!

I took this photograph of one of my daughter's ornaments many years ago and it finally came in handy LOL. I merged it with country garden photograph I took at Bonsall, near Matlock Bath, also many years ago.
Base cards are both white linencard from The Range, folded and cut to 7x5 and just
 under 6x6.
Artwork printed onto the same card and the first one cut with Die-namics plain rectangle die and the second with Spellbinders square pierced die.
Foliage cut with Memory Box dies.
White pearls coloured with Copic markers :o)

Commissioned sunflower card

Good morning all,  I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs
I'm in a tearing hurry this morning so will have to be brief!
I will have to pop back later to catch up on your blogs.

I was asked for 50th birthday card but must not put 50 on it! (rubbing salt into the wound perhaps) and it had to have this one of my sunflower photographs on it.
A4 ivory linencard folded and cut to 7x5.
Photograph and text printed onto same card, then cut with Spellbinders oval die, then attached with sticky foam pads to raise it.
White stickyback pearls coloured with Copic pen.
That's really all there is to say about it, although I am happy to report that both customer and recipient were very pleased with it, thank goodness :o)

Christmas 19.....

..... a card to make you think cool.....

Good morning everyone, I have given up on trying to sleep, it's 5.45am and I have been up more than an hour now. I hope the heat isn't affecting you as badly as it is me! Anything over 20c is way too much for me, and it was 35c when I went to work at teatime yesterday. Thank goodness it is cooling down for the weekend

Anyhow, I digress, so here is my card for today.

I made this one simply to give me a reason to use my new Memory Box die set. Both the fence and  trees die come from the set of 4.
Basecard is my usual white linencard, folded and cut to fit 6x6 envelope.
I then cut and aperture with Spellbinders die. Paper inside the card is from HOTP and I have had it for at least 8 years. I know that because I haven't bought any papers for about that long!
All diecuts are cut from a slightly off white glittercard.
Leaping deer also cut with Memory box die and the tree inside the card punched with Woodware punch. "Icicles" punched with Martha Stewart.
I will add sentiment if and when required :o)

Heritage page

Good sunny Saturday morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

I went out last night on my usual Friday night session with crafting friends and halfway there the heavens opened and the winscreen wipers could hardly cope!!! Thank goodness it only lasted for half an hour or so!!!!!

Before that, I went and bought myself a new camera! My big Nikon DSLR with the large lens on was getting to heavy for me to carry around, so I chose a Fujifilm bridge camera and what a bargain it was with £100 off. Had I have bought it last week I when I was first looking,  I would have paid that much more!!! I am hoping to get out on Sunday and play :o)

Anyhow, I am waffling so I will get on with it. Here is my offering for today, it is so long since I did a heritage page.

I wanted to keep it simple, I love these photographs of my Paternal Grandparents.
I printed them onto Kodak semigloss photopaper Then cut with Spellbinders dies.
Backing sheet is 12x12 from Sassafrasslass and it has been in my stash for many years. I haven't bought any papers for well more than 5 years!
Of course, I had to use the Memory Box Chloe Stem to fit in with the paper design.
Brown card is pearlised from stash, I think it was from PDA a long time ago. I found a box of cream 120 gsm paper in stash and used it for the journalling, cutting them out with  Die-namics fishtail dies.
I promise you the text is clearer IRL than it is here. I used Vivaldi font :o)

Ruby Anniversary commission

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs

I was food shopping a couple of weeks ago in the supermarket where I work when all of a sudden this loud voice boomed out "Jack, do you still make cards?" "Yes sez I". It was one of my bosses, never one for discretion, there she was near the greetings card aisle LOL. This card is the result, and of course, she wanted it within 48 hours. Still, it's more notice than I sometimes get!

Anyhow, enough waffling on, this is the card

A4 white linecard from The Range, folded and cut to 7x5.
Deep red card is from stash and I have so little of it left I don't like using it LOL.  It is a sort of mirri card but not as shiny, more a dull sheen and it is very classy. I bought it from a shop in Cheshire some years ago and have never seen it anywhere since BooHoo.
Memory Box leaves cut from the same red card.
Flowers punched with Woodware punches.
White pearlised card embossed with Couture Creations Tied Together folder.
Sentiment computer generated and printe using Vivaldi font, then cut with Spellbinders pierced oval die.
White sticky back pearls coloured with Copic marker pen.
And there you have it. I have since heard that the recipients loved it :o)
