Commissioned Christmas card

Good morning Bloggers, and welcome to my new follower. I seem to have lost one too!
What a glorious morning it is, wall to wall sunshine and blue skies, makes me feel so much more alive than yesterday's grey skies :o)
This is one of the cards I took to my Cousin's for her to choose from and she wants 20, she also chose 10 each of the church and Bethlehem ones from my 5 in 25 minutes post so I am in the process of making them!

For this one I used trees that I had cut yonks ago but for the 20 order I designed the tree in Scal and have cut them on my trusty old Cricut, all 60 of them. I had to put a new blade in for cutting the greeting though, poor thing was worn out LOL. My cousin loved the tumbling greeting, she thought it was great, and it was only tumbling because I couldn't fit it in so tried it and thought it looked a bit different from the norm! Trees and greeting are cut from MME and the base card is white linen folded and cut to 6x6. I hope you like it :o)

New job cards

Good morning everyone, very damp, grey and windy here this morning, I haven't looked at the forecast!
I hope all is well in your world.
My title this morning is nearly right but not quite LOL. They are both going to be doing the same jobs but relocating to another store down south!

For the first one, I have used a vase of sunflowers created by my good friend PatEssex on DC. She used her own photographs. Printed onto Papermania textured card and cut with Nestie. Sentiment is computer generated and cut with Xcut label die.

For Stewart, I couldn't resist using this photograph which I took at Twycross Zoo about 4 years ago,  because he is so skinny and this orang utan is totally the opposite. He did laugh out loud at it :o)

5 in 25 minutes

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well and not getting wet. It's pouring down here!
I am off out to my cousin's for the day for out monthly chinwagging session with lots of laughter and a pub lunch, and to take Christmas card samples for her to choose from. She loves creams and browns and they have to be very CAS and flat for posting. She has had two of these designs in previous years and asked for more, but I did 3 others as well to give her choices.  She will want 20 of the chosen one.
Anyhow, enough spouting on, here they are.

I have used Paper Mill Shop (yes that's how long I have had it) ivory hammered card because my cousin likes it. They are all A6.
All image stamps are SU apart from the Bethlehem one which is Elzybells.
Sentiments are SU, Penny Black and Stamps and Smiles, and all are stamped with Memento rich cocoa. I added just a sprinkle of gold Glamour Dust to finish :o)

P.S. It really did take me only 25 minutes to make all 5, from cutting and folding the card to finishing off with Glamour Dust!

8x8 Christmas 29

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world.
It's a bit dull and grey here but very warm. I am off to Long Eaton to get money then to George's Tradition for lunch, then hopefully I may get into the craftroom to play for a little while :o)
Here's another 8x8 card today and my 29th Christmas card for the year, long way to go yet!

Paper and topper are from J&P Pictures.  Both are printed on to Papermania textured card. backing panel put through GC in Die'sire 8x8 folder then sanded, topper layered onto gold textured card from stash then popped on foam pads. Ribbon from stash :o)

Vintage 8x8

Good morning Bloggers, and what a beautiful sunny one it is too after a few very dull days. I hope all is well in your world...hugs.
I have been enjoying seeing lots of vintage cards lately and it set me to thinking, it wasn't too painful LOL. I went through my old family photographs and found this photograph of my paternal Grandma. On 26th December this photograph will be 100 years old, it was taken on my Grandparent's wedding day, and although I could be accused of being a tad biased, I think she looks beautiful!

I cut two 8x8 squares of plain white card for the base then ran the front one through the  Embossalicious  folder. I scored the back one about an inch in then attached with the strong red DS tape. Frame is the negative from a Nestie cut.
Punches used are Leone Em, McGill, Martha Stewart and Woodware with a dob of liquid pearls for the flower centers, and a scrap of ribbon from stash completes it :o)

Made this one just because.....

..... I wanted to play, it will go into the box until I am ready to use it.
I hope you are all well or getting there :o)
I am off to Atherstone in Warwickshire today to meet up with adopted family who I haven't seen for 8 years. They live in West Sussex, which is a tad too far to pop out for the day, but they are holidaying in Warwickshire this week so we are meeting halfway (about 37 miles for me). It will be so lovely to see them again :o)
Anyhow, on to my card for today.

I cut two pieces of plain white card to 8x8, scored one about an inch in from the edge and attached it at the back of the other.
The backing panel is DCWV put through an 8x8 Die'sire embossing folder then sanded. White centre panel is pearl card with a tiny hint of gold put through a 6x6 Die'sire embossing folder then rounded the corners.
Dies used are Marianne and Memory Box.
I added flat backed sticky pearls from stash.
I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it :o)

Adult baptism

Good morning everyone, 'tis very dull and grey here at the minute. Not sure what is to come later! I hope all is well in your world...hugs.
I made this card for my 21 year old Grand-daughter who was baptised on Sunday. After she finishes her degree at York Uni in two years time, she is hoping that she will be accepted to Theological college.

I folded and cut white linen card to 7x5. Background is white pearlised card with a tiny hint of gold, put through the Craft Concepts Sunrays folder and the cross is Spellbinders. Sentiment is computer generated using Dauphin font and punched with SU :o)

Had a play session.....

.....yesterday afternoon and here is part of the result. I created lots of different ones using the basic shapes in SCAL.

I have long had banner dies on my wish list but now I've deleted it because I found I can create my own in SCAL Yippeeeeeee, lots of pennies saved. These are just a few of the ones I created, then cut out on my (very old) Cricut. The beauty of it is that I can cut them any size I want within the machine's capabilities! The babygros and dummies were cut from Bazzill and the rest from an old J&P Pictures tartan paper :o)

Out of my comfort zone

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs
In case you are wondering about my title for this post, I see such beautiful vintage cards on other folks's blogs and I cannot seem to do them as well but HeyHO, you have to try don't you LOL.
I was lucky enough to be offered a digi image of my choice from Nicecrane Designs recently and I chose one, but when it dropped into my inbox there were actually 3 images. Thank you so much to Nicecrane, I hope you don't mind that I changed your beautiful images to sepia as I love old sepia photographs.
Here are the first two cards I made using them.

I folded and cut buff card from PDA to 7x5.
I printed both images onto Kodak everyday photo paper which is something in between glossy and matte. The first image was cut out using my new Die'sire dies and the second one with Nesties.
Other dies used are Marianne and Memory Box.
If I remember rightly the sentiment is from Stamps and Smiles :o)

Christmas card No. 27

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well in your world or at least that it soon will be...hugs
I am off to Long Eaton today, then on to my weekly lunch fix at George's Tradition, can't miss that :o)
Today's card is very simple indeed.

The paper and image is from J&P Pictures (now defunct) Christmas Bauble 1. For those who do not know, J&P Pictures was myself and my good friend PatEssex from Docrafts. We produced 5 CDs, all from our own photographs, and several digi sets including freebies over a period of 3 years but alas we died a young death :o( I am telling you this so you understand if you ever tried Googling   and were unable to find us!
Anyhow, on to my card.
I folded and cut white card to 6x6.
I printed image and backing onto Papermania Textured card.
Image layered onto gold textured card and corner punched, then added Memory Box Holly die cut. :o)

P.S. I still have all our freebie sets so if anyone is interested email me.There are all sorts from  cats and dogs to birds to flowers and a horse :o)

For a friend

Good morning everyone, and another lovely morning it is too. I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs
Well, I have survived my first full shift since going back to work. You may remember I went back on a phased return which lasted for 6 weeks, and last night seemed like a long one (I only do 5 hours a shift) but here I am, still intact. Let's hope I am by the end of the week!  :o)
Anyhow, my card for today is for a friend.

Don't you just have to love that image. I think her name is Mitzi but I am ashamed to say I can't remember where I got her from! I got it at the time when I hadn't got enough sense to name the creators in the file. Nowadays, everything I download has a named file according to  where I get them from, I am sure that someone out there knows this one.
Base card is white linen folded and cut to 7x5.
Image printed onto Papermania textured card, then cut with Nestie, as is the backing layer.
Clear gems from stash coloured with copic marker. Very simple indeed :o)

For the box

Good morning everyone, and what a glorious one it is too. Too hot for me but I know most of you will be revelling in it :o)
Before going any further, we must pause and think about those poor folks in the Oklahoma region who have suffered more horrific weather conditions, and especially to those who have lost their lives! I am sure that all our prayers are with you...hugs

Now onto my card for today which is for the box.

Base card is white linen folded and cut to 7x5.
I 'found' the SU image in my box of images coloured many moons ago and thought it was time to do something with it. I think it is so beautiful for a sympathy card so that is what I did! It is coloured with copics and then cut with a Nestie, then layered onto the white pearl card which has been put through the sunrays embossing folder then layered onto yellow card. Sentiment stamp is from the same SU set.
