60th anniversay commission

Good afternoon everyone, I am very late today, been doing a little bit of Spring cl*****g ugh!
I hope you are all well or at least better than you were {{{{{hugs}}}}}

What a glorious morning it has been here in the Midlands, then the sun went in and suddenly it was hailing!!!!! Now, the sun can't make up it's mind.

For my card today, I was sent very dark and dismal photograph so the first thing was to get it cleaned up and relieved of the background which was too dark to lighten up enough. The criteria were it must be plain and simple and it had to look like a photograph in a frame, I think I achieved that, and the customer was very happy with it :o)

Photograph and words printed in MS Word onto Papermania textured card, then layered onto black PM card then pewter textured card from PDA and on to the base card which is also PM textured card folded and cut to 7x5.

I took this photograph at my friend's house last year, she was dog sitting for her daughter. Daughter loved the photograph and asked for me to make her some mini notecards, so here they are :o)

I feathered the photograph in Paint Shop Pro 7 then printed it onto Papermania textured card, along with the sentiment in MS Word.
I printed two to each A4 sheet (landscape) the folded and cut to 4x4 :o)

By the light of the silvery moon

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well, warm and dry. Here's a few hugs for those who want or need them {{{{{hugs}}}}}

For my card today, I decided once and for all to have a final go at getting inky and messy without having to throw the results in the bin, which is where they usually end up, so here is the result. Inspired by the lovely Doreen
If you haven't seen Doreen's wonderful moonlit scenes then do go and have a look.  I have a long way to go but at least it's a start.

I used a piece of old linen card from ? as I didn't want to waste my lovely new linen card.
I am no good at brayering so I used cotton wool pads, the sort used for cleaning your face, and rubbed the ink in with a circular motion.
Various stamps were used along with Memento inks. One thing I did discover is that I don't have a big enough range of colours in my distress inks so they are one the ever growing wants list!
I layered the panel onto black card and then onto the base card which is the same linen card folded and cut to 6x6.
A scrap of ribbon from stash finished off. Nothing new was used in the construction of this card :o)

Two more Easter cards using my own photographs

Good morning everyone, I hope the weather is being kind to you, here's a few  {{{{{hugs}}}}} for those who want or need them.
The mild few days we have had have certainly been king to my shoulders, but the cold this morning has made them hurt a tad more, not as bad as previously though!

Here are my cards for today.

Both are printed onto Papermania textured card, greeting added in MS Word, then folded and cut to 7x5. Spellbinder crosses raised on foam sticky pads.
The church is Attenborough parish church, where a long line of my ancestors were baptised, married and buried. I took the photograph looking across one of the gravel pits at Attenborough Nature Reserve :o)

Commissioned pair, own photographs

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world. Here's some hugs if you need or want them {{{{{hugs}}}}}

My cousin has asked for some birthday cards using my flowers so here are the first two. There's no hurry as she wants them in a few weeks.

This is the first time that I have printed my photographs onto Papermill Direct linen card and I must say that I am impressed at the quality of the card. Printed in MS Word, sentiment added using Viner Hand font, folded and cut to 7x5 and there they are! The same photographs are reduced on the inside on the bottom corners :o)

Christmas card #5

Good morning everyone, I hope you are well and that you haven't been affected by the strong gales and rain, and if you have I hope the end is in sight {{{{{hugs}}}}}

Thank you for all of your good wishes, my cough is now allowing me to sleep a bit better.

I was looking through my old stamps (as you do) and came across this sweet Elzybells one. I have very few cute stamps and don't usually make cute cards, but I couldn't resist this one and now he has been "found" I will certainly use him again :o)

It's not often that I am totally satisfied with my own cards (are any of us?) but I do have a soft spot for this one.
I finally bought a box of white linen card from Paper Mill Direct and I have to say that I am delighted with it. This is my first card using it.
Base card folded and cut to 7x5.
Stamped onto the same card and coloured with copics, then layered it onto red Papermania Textured card, the same as that used for the Memory Box Frostyville border.
Attached to base card with sticky foam strips. Added a smidgin of Glamour Dust to the snow and Voila, the finished card :o)

Simple Easter card

Good morning everyone, I do hope you are all warm, dry and well {{{{{hugs}}}}} for those who need or want them.

Thank you all for your enquiries about my cough. It hasn't quite gone yet but it's improving, and I actually slept about 4 hours solid last night :o)

My card for today is just a simple Easter card made with diecuts and embossing folders :o)

Base card is PMS hammered white folded and cut to 7x5.
Yellow layer is also PMS hammered card.
The embossed backing is made up from part of two different folders, one is Cuttlebug and the other is Crafts too.
Crosses are from Spellbinders.
Sentiment printed in MS Word and cut with SU punches.

Birthday card for a friend

Good morning everyone, here I am at stoopid o'clock. Can't sleep cuz I'm coughing fit to bust! I hope all is well with everyone, and that the floods didn't get any worse {{{{{hugs}}}}}
My card for today was for my very good friend PatEssex (Docrafts), whose birthday was last week.

White hammered card from The Paper Mill Shop was folded and cut to 7x5 for the base card. For the main panel, I swiped dewdrop inkpads over a piece of plain white card, a technique I have copied from The lovely Elizabeth (Silver Scrapper).
Then I stamped with a mixture of stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black and London Fog.
Flutterbies were punched with Martha Stewart and the foliage is from a Cheery Lynn die, and mounted onto a dull silver mat :o)

Money wallet for my Grandson.....

.....who will be 29 next Sunday! Wherever did all of those years go to?

Good morning everyone, I do hope you all escaped the awful storms and are safe, warm and dry {{{{{hugs}}}}}

My offering for today is a very simple money wallet and here it is.

Base card is Kraft card a lookalike from PDA.
A4 sheet folded at 5" and 10", the little flap left forms the money pocket, then cut to 7x5.
I used Papermania vanilla textured card for the front panel, embossed at each end with Cuttlebug snow folder.
Letter cut on the Cricut from MME card. Couldn't really be much more simple :o)

One extreme to the other

Good morning everyone, I do so hope that none of you are caught up in all the dreadful flooding in Somerset, or anywhere else {{{{{hugs}}}}}
I seem to have lost 3 followers and gained 1! Thank you for joining me Carol.
My title for today refers to the fact that my card has far more on it than my duck card and without more ado, here it is.

Base card is white leather look (I believe I bought it from the Paper Mill Shop some years ago) Folded and cut to 7x5.
For the main panel I used pearlised card and cut/embossed with Marianne cut and emboss folder, then mounted it onto gold mirri card, edge cut with Martha Stewart punch.
Crosses are Spellbinder and the greeting, printed in MS Word, was punched with SU.
Still not too sure if it is suitable for Easter!

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all warm, dry and well...hugs
Here is my first Eater card, I fetch this little fellow out every Easter, he is one of my favourites :o) They don't come much more simple than this!

I took this photograph a few years ago and my good friend PatEssex (Docrafts) tubed him for me. I added the bow in Paint Shop Pro, and the sentiment in MS Word.  He is printed straight onto Papermania textured card then folded and cut to 7x5.

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well in your world, and if not then here are a few hugs {{{{{hugs}}}}}

Base card is white linen folded and cut to my usual 7x5.
SU stamp coloured with copics, then lightly chalked and cut with nestie then layered onto nestie cut mat. Both mat and memory Box leaves are cut from Papermania textured card. Sentiment is from the same stamp set. Couldn't get much more simple :o)
