New CD

Good morning Bloggers. This is the latest craft CD just released by Pat and myself over at
www.jandppictures.co.uk The CD contains around 1200 pages of images created from our own photographs so all artwork is original, not a PD image in sight :o)
Why not pay us a visit and add your name to our mailing list so you will always know when we release anything new? We are hoping in the next week or two to release our latest venture so watch this space. Just one little clue; it has a seasonal flavour :o)

Beautiful award...

Thank you so much for thinking of me Chrissie :o)
If you haven't visited her blog yet you are in for a real treat. Why don't you hop over there now and take a peek :o)
I have to pass it on to 5 bloggers and tell you 5 things I like (I hope I got that right)!
Well I have been racking my brains for several days now and it is sooooooooooo difficult to choose one blogger over another. In the end I put all my favourite bloggers into a hat and gave it a good shake, then picked 5 out!
Viv at Crafting Haven
Di at A Crafty Nutter
Lesley at Lesley's bit of everything
Cass at a Spoonful of Sugar
Lorraine at Lorraine's Loft
Please forgive me for not linking them, I am still trying to get the hang of how to do it!
5 things I like
A lovely big hug from my nearly 4 year old Great Grandson
A lovely crisp Autumn morning when the cobwebs are covered in dew.
Waking up early on a Winter morning and looking out of my bedroom window onto a scene of pristine snow.
The beautiful colours of Autumn
Listening to my favourite CDs, too numerous to mention here

Good afternoon bloggers, here is my entry for the Peachy Keen #10 challenge over at http://peachykeenstampschallenge.blogspot.com/2009/08/peachy-keen-stamps-challenge-10.html
Very simple sketch this week with infinite possibilities. I decided to go with a Christmas theme and started with Bazzill BC, plus MME and Chatterbox DPs. once I had that all put together I thought it had to have Christmas images so here it is in all it's glory :o) Of course I used Copics for the main colouring with Sakura highlights. I used one of the stamps from my new set bought last week while on a crafting day with my good friends Viv and Sandra :o) All the stamped images are lifted with silicone glue.
Recipe;
BC is my lovely Bazzill
DPs are MME and Chatterbox Rosy bllom
Main image is from Craft UK Santa and Penguin set CUKS33

A few more from the zoo

Here are a few colourful characters plus an adorable baby Alpaca.

I had a wonderful afternoon at Twycross and I can recommend going alone because it meant I could go and take photographs of what I wanted without having to be aware that someone may want to see other animals :o)
Jackie xx

Instead of making challenge cards...

...I went to the zoo yesterday :o)
I went just specially to see this little fellow and at 19 days old aint he just the cutest you ever did see? :o)

I took a few piccies around the zoo and these are just 4 out of the 156. Methinks I may be using them on cards at some time soon :o) If I ever get the chance I may get around to doing a scrapbook of them too, all I need is 48 hours in the day and 14 days in the week, and the energy to go with them :o)

Peachy Keen challenge 09

Good morning everyone. It's wall to wall sunshine here at the moment and I have a big pile of ironing to do :o( Anyhow, I digress!

It had to contain a circle, a square and a star.

I have used a circular stamp onto square card, and added a star brad to the ribbon. I didn't have to cut into my lovely MME paper this time as I had bought some scraps from my local craft shop, they were the bits left over from a workshop at some time :o)

Recipe;

BC is K&Co from a 12x12 stack
Stampendous stamp
Copics
MME DP
Leone Em punched leaves
Unkown flowers
Unknown brads
Glamour Dust

Winter Wonderland #12

It is a 7x5 tentfold card which I covered with DP from one of our own works in progress over at www.jandppictures.co.uk
I pinched the idea of tucking the greeting behind the main image from my good friend Viv, thank you Viv :o) I used Copics for colouring and Sakura for highlighting the snow although it doesn't show very much here! It is much more evident in the flesh. I punched the snowflakes from a gingham like glitter card.
Recipe;
BC is hammered white from PMS as usual
DP from J&P Pictures
Inca Stamp
PB sentiment stamp
Xcut punch
Copics
Sakura Stardust pen

I am guilty......

... of not putting these lovely awards from the beautiful Chrissie over at http://simply-one-of-a-kind.blogspot.com/

The bottom two I received weeks ago and the top one more recently. My apologies Chrissie for not putting them on before, I just don't have enough hours in the day :o)
I am sorry to say I cannot remember the rules for the bottom two, so I have included them all here.
To offically accept the award I have to do the following ;
1.Thank the person who nominated you for this award
2. Copy the logo and place it on your blog
3. Link the person who nominated you for this award
4. Name seven things about yourself that people might find interesting
5. Nominate seven Kreative Bloggers
6. Post links to the seven blogs you nominate
7. Leave comments on all seven blogs letting them know you nominated them
I have agonised over which seven bloggers I should choose, and I just can't. There are so many Kreative Bloggers out there, some of them have already received this award. I hope I can be forgiven for saying that I nominat everyone who regularly visits my blog and leaves lovely feedback :o)
Now for seven things about me, and I must say I don't find myself that interesting, so if you nod off you are excused :o)
1) I am a senior citizen who works part time so I can live a little
2) I love learning new things whether in cardmaking or general life
3) I have about 18,000 of my own photographs on CDs, memory sticks and external hard drive
4) I play percussion, mainly bodhran, in a folk band
5) I love getting together with my crafting friends for lots of laughter and making a card or two
6) I drive a ten year old Suzuki Swift car
7) I love taking my cameras for walkies

Peachy Keen 07

Good morning everyone, it seems so long since I was last here. I lost my mojo again due to having to stay close to the loo and it's not really back yet but I'm getting there :o)
Anyway, I digress. This is my entry for the Peachy Keen 07 challenge over at
http://peachykeenstampschallenge.blogspot.com/2009/07/peachy-keen-stamps-challenge-07.html

The brief was to use the colour purple, a zigzag and a pumpkin. Now I don't have anything in my stash to do with pumpkins and and zigzagz so I had to improvise. I made the pumpkin by cutting orange ovals on the Cricut and building them up then added a scrap of green stalk. The colour purple is the core of the Coredinations card which is my first distressing and the zigzags, well they do vaguely resemble zigzags :o) I heat embossed a chipboard cat from my earlier blog candy win, thank you Chrissie, and the sky is chalked. The houses were cut on the Cricut and the leaves are die cut :o)
Before you all nod off, here is the recipe :o)
BC is white hammered from PMS
Coredinations card
Unknown witch stamp
Cricut
Sizzix
Unknown embossing powder
Bazzill for leaves and houses
Pumpkin face is from one of the Funny Flowers set

Experimenting

I've always wanted to take photographs of a row of beach huts and I got the opportunity at Southwold in June :o)
I decided to have a play with this one and converted it to a pencil drawing, then coloured it with my lovely Copics. The background is a photograph of the stoney beach at Caister, taken during that same holiday :o)
Just as a matter of interest, this is the very same row of beach huts that featured in Coast and had Dr Alice Roberts sitting drawing them, but I didn't know it at the time I was there :o)
