PK #21

I don't believe what I have just done! I pressed the back button instead of hide preview and lost the lot so here I go again!
The challenge was to create a project using something vintage or vintage inspired, not a digital thingy, and it must contain at least one stamped image. Well, I decided that as it is far too long since I did a page for my heritage album, that this would be a good opportunity :o)
Obviously the photograph is the vintage bit and the wedding cake is the stamped image (found it in the bottome of a box unused and unloved so decided to give it an airing). I framed the photo and cut the leaves with Sizzix die cuts and the wedding cake was cut with Nestie labels one.
DPs are KI Memories, Crate paper and J&P Jan freebie (see earlier post).
I printed the journalling in Word, Bradley Hand ITC.

Meet Sunbonnet Sue

I have loved her for many years. My daughter makes quilts and about 15 years ago she made one with her on it and I fell in love, but being an applique image I never thought about adapting her for cardmaking. I'm a bit slow on the uptake sometimes LOL.
I got downloaded the image from http://www.quilterscache.com/ and then made templates of all the little bits that make her into the image you see here. The striped and spotty DPs are MME, the others are from stash. She is made up in layers using 1mm foam pads. Of course I had to incorporate my Nesties :o)

Commissioned cards

Good morning bloggers, I hope your snow has all gone as it has here!

I made these to add to the 4 Christmas cards my friend Jean had ordered so that she had more to choose her 4 from and she loved them all, asked me to make another one of each! What a way to start 2010 off :o)
Happy crafting while I am at work this evening!

Any SU demonstrators in the Harlow area of Essex?

Good morning bloggers :o)
Is there an SU demonstrator in Essex, preferably in or near the Harlow area? If so could you give me your details please to pass on to my good friend Pat who lives there :o)

Peachy Keen #20

It had to be a purse/tote of any size, have at least 1 stamped image, be a winter theme.
I have never made a purse or bag of any kind so I just dived in (or should that be dove in, no doubt someone will tell me) and this is what came out :o)
I used my beloved MME card, and made a flap over bag. Of course I also used nesties and copics, don't know what I would do without them! I punched the edge of the flap with a Fiskars holly edge punch and added a glitter Xcut punched snoflake. Ribbon from stash and I'm sorry to say I can't remember where I got the clear stamp. Mustn't forget the Glamour dust on the snowman :o)

First Christmas card order of the year!

Good morning bloggers, I hope you are all warm and well :o)
My friend Jean, who I made the 'man' cards for, asked me to make her 4 Christmas cards. I have made these 4 using our Christmas packs from J&P Pictures.

I will also make a few using rubber stamps so she has a choice. I made a couple of templates for the trees and cut them from mirri and holographic card then Cuttlebugged them. Methinks I will have to get some red mirri so I can do some red cards with it :o)
All the cards are 7x5 inches.

Man cards

Good morning all, I hope you are keeping warm!
My friend Jean (a non crafter) asked me to make her 4 man cards but they mustn't have sports on them!

This one is stamped and coloured with copics, no surprises there then :o) The DP is from an HOTP pad I've had for a long while but I thought it went well with the theme. The buttons are also from stash. I have raised the tools with foam pads but it doesn't show too well on here!
These two are from our Pictures for the Men CD over at www.jandppictures.co.uk

I hope you don't get much more of the white stuff, it is snowing here again!

PS. I forgot to say that I had a suitable man card in my box for the 4th one :o)

MTSC #55

This is my entry for Mercy's Tuesday sketch over at
I have strayed off course a little as the main image should be round (slapped wrist)! BC is from the PMS and it is a sort of buff colour. DP is from J&P Pictures and the orange card is old faithful Bazzill. Stamp is SU from the Summer by the Sea set and is coloured with Copics, then cut with Nesties. Leaves were punched at my good friend Viv's house on one of our get togethers and the flower/brad/ribbon is all from stash :o)

Cards for Men #2

This is my offering for the Cards for Men challenge over at
If you haven't visited them yet go and have a peek. We are all flummoxed by men's cards at times and I am sure there will be some great ideas here over the coming months :o)
I used hammered white for the BC then covered it with own paper from J&P Pictures. The very cute stamp is from Stampendous and I coloured it with Copics then highlighted a smidgeon with Sakura Stardust pen. The sentiment stamps are from a baby set from See Ds which I have had for years but only recently started using and of course my beloved Nesties had to be there! Scrap of ribbon and baby coat are from my stash :o)

Use my Nesties once again, I think they will be in use a lot this year :o) DP is from Sassafrass Lass with a smidgin of handmade paper from stash, as is the ribbon, and the edge is punched with Fiskars Threading water punch :o)

Peachy Keen #19

My first card of 2010 is for the Peachy Keen challenge #19 over at http://peachykeenstampschallenge.blogspot.com/2009/12/peachy-keen-stamps-challenge-19.html
Base card is linen from the Paper Mill Shop and I have stamped some small poppies straight onto it then coloured with Copics, as I have with the main poppy images. They are from Papermania's Poppy set. Had to get the Nesties involved too, I can't resist them :o)
Added ribbon from stash and that's all there is to it, one very simple card. Since I took the piccy I have added a bit of Glossy Accents to the poppy centres :o)
