Made on Tuesday

Hi everyone :o) I had a lovely day at a friend's on Tuesday and these are the cards I made!

All colouring is done with copics and I used Nesties, Nellie Snellen dies and SU/Martha Stewart punches

I think we managed to make more cards cuz there were only 2 of us and we didn't go out for retail therapy :o)

Card 1

What is the matter with blogger now??????????? It will only let me upload one of the two cards!
I wanted to put them both in the same post but it is so frustrating. I tried yesterday and it wouldn't let me then either :o(
Image is from Imag-e-nation and coloured with copics then cut out with nesties. Trees in corner are from SU :o)

7 of 12 commissioned Christmas cards

Good morning Bloggers. I hope you are all well and contented :o)
These are a few of the said order and they all had to be fairly flat to keep posting costs down as they are for an old lady who isn't well off! She wanted robins and this little robin is one I took a photograph of at Attenborough Nature Reserve some time ago. The snow scene is also from one of my photographs, the toppers were created by Pat and myself, and the candles were created by Pat.

All mats are textured gold scraps from stash and various punches were used for the embellies, all papers are from the now defunct J&P Pictures.
I now have to make 2 'special' cards for the lady's 2 daughters then that order is completed so hopefully I will be able to get back to some challenges :o)

Yesterday's dabblings

Good morning Bloggers, wasn't yesterday such a beautiful day after a heavy frost to start with, I spent quite a bit if time in the craftroom sorting out cards orders! I have to prioritise so I'm afraid that challenge cards have taken a back seat for a few days.
My cousin loves offbeat stuff and she asked me to make 20 of these cards because she loves the Famous Grouse adverts at Christmas time on TV. She had seen a similar card I had made for a birthday :o)

I made the single layer cards yesterday, now I have the inserts to make which I detest doing! Base card is a sort of buff/fawn colour bought from PMS eons ago.
Used stamps from 2 different SU sets and the sentiment stamp is from
I know not where :o)

Just because.....

Good Sunday morning Bloggers. The morning started with a sharp frost here but the sun is coming out to play now, hopefully for the whole day :o)

This is a very simple card and I used my new Nelly Snellen butterfly die. DP is from MME, ribbon filched from the lovely Viv and I think it was her sentiment stamp I used too :o)
At the moment I an very busy with Christmas card orders but so no time to make challenge cards for the time being!

2 x 90th birthday cards

Good morning everyone, I hope it is brighter where you are. It is very dull and miserable looking here and quite cool!

These are cards for my Uncle Doug who will be 90 this month. This first one is from my cousin and I use old photographs of him to make the backing paper.

This second one is from me and I used google images of 1920 to make up the backing paper. As you can see I couldn't get by without nesties :o)

Peachy Keen + Allsorts

Good morning Bloggers, I hope you all had a fantastic weekend :o)
This is my first scrapbook page for a while and it's for
Peachy Keen #38 Autumn, particularly October, and NOT a card
Allsorts #73 Inspiration from a song title. Mine is Autumn Leaves by Jo Stafford 1950

It's THAT Autumn photograph of mine again but I decided this time I would do it as a tryptich. 12x12 page is Bazzill, punched leaves then scrunched them up. Used the negatives as stencils using Tim Holtz distressing inks. I made the pumpkins using Woodware and SU punches then added PK faces and a bit of copic shading. Printed the title in Word.
I took the photograph a couple of years ago in Wilne churchyard which is only a couple of miles from me, and usually place something strategically over the gravestone to the right of centre, in this case a crumpled leaf :o)

OLW 23 - heavy metal

Good afternoon everyone, a bit of a departure for me posting this late in the day!
it is due to the painting needing to be finished first, and YIPPEEEEEEEEE it's done now. I will have to start putting the room back together on Sunday so that I can see what I need, such as a table & chairs/bookshelves etc.
Anyhow, on to the card which is for Simplicity OLW - heavy metal

I was playing with my friend Viv's new stamps that she bought on our retail therapy trip and made this very simple one layer card in the hopes that it would be suitable for the OLW the next day and 'VOILA' it is just right (I hope). They want something metallic and I heat embossed the images with pewter embossing powder. I must have sent the right vibes over to Simplicity :o)
In the meantime, we had a great shopping trip and the day was brilliant, finishing with Viv's wonderful stew and dumplings (well actually, Viv made the stew and I made the dumplings)  :o) There was just one problem, when I got home I had left my purchases there, 50 miles away in Macclesfield BOOHOO. I got some scrumptious goodies and can't play with them yet :o(

Winter Wonderland + Anything Goes

Good morning all, I had a wonderful time yesterday crafting with friends but I'll tell you about that later :o)
I am entering this card for the
Winter Wonderland male Christmas card challenge
Anything Goes  Christmas has come early

It's quite a simple card which I think would appeal to men more than anything fussy. The moose image is from Karen's doodles and coloured with copics, linen base card, MME papers, simple sentiment. As I said, very simple card :o)

Nothing today folks...

...I'm off out to Macclesfield for a day of crafting, chinwagging and lots of laughter and we may even get a bit of retail therapy thrown in too. Well worth the 50 mile drive there and back. Who knows, we might even manage to make a card or two :o)
See you later

Paperplayers + Pixie Dust

Good morning everyone.
I woke up to very wet fog this morning but it's gorgeous sunshine now :o)
The painting is coming along nicely but I've run out of paint so have to go buy another tin! Once I've got the paint, Rob will come and finish off for me then I can get some kind of order back in here! At least I am now able to use the computer again WhooHooooo

Oh dear, I digress again!
This card is for
Paperplayers #18 - monochromatic
Pixie Dust Studios - swirly swirls
Unfortunately the swirls don't show up very well in the pic but they really are there!
As I so love sepia photographs, I decided to have a go at doing a sepia card :o)
I found the rubber stamp in the bottom of a box, unloved and unused (sorry, can't remember where it was from). Coloured with copics, hand cut the oval and lightly chalked it. Inked 2 white flowers and added button and ribbon. I used brown Bazzill for the base card and stamped swirls with versamark then embossed with clear embossing powder. Main image is popped with foam pads :o)

Granddaughter Sian again

Good morning all, I hope you have a fab weekend. I am going to be very busy painting my sitting room, with a little help from my friends, so I am leaving you with this page I did for my granddaughter Sian in 2006.
She is now nearly 19 and has left her Goth days in the past :o)
