Poppies and flutterbies + a wonderful day

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well with you.
I had the most fabulous day yesterday.  Seven of us got together and had a fabbytastic crafting day hosted by our lovely friend Pauline, who is a wonderful cook.
We started off with the usual bacon butties then off we all went to Breedon on the Hill for some retail therapy, where I bought a few Marianne dies and a couple of Big & Juicky inkpads, then it was back to Pauline's for a cuppa and Indian/Mexican snacks before we started making cards. I managed to make two, which I will upload when I have taken their pics later. We had a wonderful pork and apple casserole for dinner followed by lemon meringue and/or strawberry and rhubarb steamed pudding and custard ( I had both LOL, as did most of us)
For the time being the poppies are will have to suffice :o)

I cannot believe that I haven't used my copics since August, I nearly forgot how LOL.
Materials:
White linen card cut and folded to 7x5
Red pearlised card
Martha Stewart flutterby punches (two of them)
Memory Box corner die
Copics
Have a great day :o)

Tulip card and a fab day to look forward to

Good morning everyone. I hope you haven't got the dreaded snow yet. It seems hell bent on disrupting our crafting get together tomorrow, as two of our number have to travel from the Peak District, but I'm keeping everything crossed that can be crossed! There will be 7 of us all gathering at our friend Pauline's and there will hopefully be the obligatory bacon butties followed by some retail therapy before we settle down to an afternoon of crafting, much chinwagging and lots of laughter, followed by dinner (Pauline is a wonderful cook) before we all go our separate ways  :o)
Anyhow, onto my card which is very simple indeed.

The tulip photograph is one I took many moons ago and I just happened to find, in my stash, the perfect colour pearlised paper to go with it. Tulip and mat cut with Nellie Snellen die, Foliage band is from a Memory Box die and the sentiment is from an SU set, Brilliance inkpad, finished off with three gems from stash.
I will be back in the week to let you know how our get together went :o)

Snowdrops

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well and happy.
I have two cards to show you today, both made using my own snowdrop photographs. So appropriate at this time of year. Yes, I know that flutterbies and snowdrops would not be seen together IRL, but we can call it cardmaker's licence :o)

Materials;
White linen card cut and folded to 7x5
White pearlised card embossed with Creative Expressions and Marianne embossing folders
Flutterbies from Martha Stewart punch
Foliage from Marianne dies
Main image and mats cut with Nesties
Plain green card for mats
I hope you like them :o)

A card and a welcome

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there. When I came out of work at 9.30 last night I had to scrape the car windscreen, but it has rained overnight and cleared the ice. I wish it would make up it's mind!
I see that I have a new follower. Welcome Manjula, can you please let me see your blog so I can say hello to you.
Onto my card for today, which is another brayered one.

For details see my previous card except that I used Stampendous agapanthus stamp, a different Big & Juicly inkpad (sorry, can't remember the name) and Papermania black embossing powder, plus Nesties :o)

Get well card

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well. When I went to bed last night the frost was very thick, when I got out of bed at 4am it was all gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not that I am complaining, of course.
I had a great day yeaterday. Started these 4 cards, then went and had a wander round Long Eaton before going to George's tradition for my lunch, then came home and finished the cards off, then later I spent a couple of hours with CSI :o)

No cards, just a few pics

Good morning bloggers, I hope you are all well.
I made the mistake of uploading the photographs first and now it won't let me type in at the beginning!!!!!
All photographs taken at St Chad's Water, Derbyshire, last week and then opened and shaped in PSE5 :o)

I've been playing.....

.....with the resist technique, at least I think it is LOL.
Hi everyone on this very frosty Saturday morning. Thank goodness I don't go to work until 2pm so hopefully won't have to scrape the car!

I folded linen card then cut with nesties labels 6 to make the basecard.
I used PB Queen Anne's Lace and stamped with Versamark then heat embossed with Papermania Seafoam white.
Next step was to brayer with Big & Juicy Spice inkpad then added the Marianne diecuts which I popped with 1mm foam pads and Bob's yer uncle, couldn't be much more simple :o)

New home card

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there.
I had the most fantasic day out with my daughter yesterday. We shopped (she for quilting stuff and me for clothes, not a craft shop in sight), we picnicked and we marvelled at the aerobatics of a raven and a kestrel while we were picnicking at Monsal Head in the beautiful Peak District.  I had never seen a real live raven and couldn't believe just how big they are!!!!!
On to my card for today, which is for friends who have moved to the coast.

Own photograph used, and quite a mix of dies and punches. Memory Box, Marianne, Papermania and SU. Sentiment printed in Word :o)

Hold on to your dreams

Good morning everyone, Monday again already. Don't the weeks fly by so fast!
Does it show that I love doing this style of card?

I just had to use my new Marianne bird die and teamed it up with others from the same stable. Background is brayered with Big and Juicy and then stamped with Papermania greeting and Srampendous stamps using Memento black/London fog inkpads :o)

Monochrome card and a welcome

Good morning bloggers, I hope you are all well or getting there :o)
I would like to say welcome to Rachael, my latest follower, Hi Rachael.
I see the wind is back and the morning is very grey and dull but at least it is dry so far, not holding my breath though!
Anyhow, on to my card for today, which I have to say I am very happy with :o)

I do love browns, earth colours. I cut and folded white card to 5x7. Brayered another piece of white card with Big and Juicy inkpad Spice then stamped it with Kanban dandelion stamps and  SU greeting for the background using Memento inkpad.
The embossed panel was created with my new Craft Concepts dandelion folder and matted onto corrugated card from PDA. To finish off, I added a couple of Marianne diecuts which I cut from Bazzill. Hope you like it :o)

Very simple mini notecards

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well with you.
These are so simple, I just printed out the digi images and then cut and folded to 4x4. They make very handy little notecards

The mark you may see in the middle are on the camera, I have to take it in to be cleaned!
I have coloured them using Caran D'Ache watercolour pencils, not a copic to be seen anywhere. It's the first time in about 2 years that I have used them so I am a little rusty :o)

Happy New Year + first card for 2012

Good morning everyone, I hope 2012 is very kind to all of you :o)
I was ill all over the Christmas period,  coughing so much I never went to bed for 10 nights! BUT, I have started 2012 feeling so much better. Anyway, onto my card, which is the second for 2012, can't show the first one yet because I know the recipient pops in here from
time to time!

This is for my cousin whose birthday is early in February. I cut and folded the basecard from Bazzill. The corrugated card is from PDA and the paper from Kay & Co. Flutterbies cut and embossed with SU embosslits folder, the rest cut with Marianne dies.
Now I am going to try and play catchup on your blogs :o)
