70th birthday card for a friend.....

.....using his own boat!
Good morning everyone, it's raining here but never mind, I don't usually let the rain bother me.
I have to make this a quick post today as I have to play taxi driver for my Granddaughter at 9am! My offering today is a very simple one one layer card, I hope you like it :o)

The boat is owned by the recipient and he didn't know I had taken a photograph of it 3 years ago when they were moored just a few miles from me and I visited them. He was chuffed to bits :o)
I feathered the photograph in PSP and printed it straight onto grey Bazzill and added the sentiment in Word, then cut and folded to 5x7. I have printed the same image, reduced in size,  on the insert. That is all there is to it :o)

Romantic swans

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well in your world. Another sunny start to the day but thank goodness there is a lovely fresh breeze with it :o)
For my card today I have used two of my new Marianne die sets and for the first time, I actually did the embossing for the the anja die in the Grand Calibur. I normally do it with a ball tool but I am so pleased with how it turned out. I did the swans embossing with the ball tool but now that I have discovered it is so easy in the GC I won't be doing it by hand any more :o)

I cut and folded white linen card to 5x7, added the die cuts, tiny pearls and Woodware stamped sentiment and Bob's yer Uncle, that was all there was to it :o)

I thought I had better do some stamping before I forget how.....

Good morning everyone, I hope all is as well as it can be  in your world. I cannot believe it's 4 days since I posted. Where has the time gone? Life and work do get in the way sometimes!
I thought it was time to do some stamping for a change. I was watching my friends on Friday night using this technique (I joined them for a cuppa after shopping) so I decided to have a go. Mine isn't as good as theirs but heyho, better luck next time. I spent yesterday morning cutting silhouette figures out on my neglected Cricut to use on my next try.
Anyhow, I digress so without more ado here is my card :o)

It is an 8x8 card simply because I made the main image too big to go on a 6x6!
Call it a senior moment hehehehehe.
I sponged TH distress inks onto plain white card then got stamp happy with SU and Lindsay Mason. I think I may have been a bit heavy handed with the inks! I then layered onto plain black card. The border is the first of my 5 new dies and is a 12" Nestie.
It is such a simple card :o)

Brilliant day and a few CAS cards

Good morning everyone, what a difference the sun makes. Grab a cuppa and try not to nod off at the back please LOL. I had the most perfect day yesterday. It was my turn to host our get together and what a wonderful day it was too. As always we started the day off with bacon butties, these are obligatory to get us into the mood. Then the next obligatory thing we do is craft shopping, you cannot have a craft get together without a bit of retail therapy so off we went to Breedon on the Hill and I bought about 5 new dies so lots of playing to be done this week. We did confuse the poor girl, who was standing in for her Mum, and I think she was glad to see the back of us hehehehehe. Unlike her Mum, she is not used to us lot when we are together! Arriving back home of course the kettle went on and the home made scones, provided by Sandra, were lathered in clotted cream and topped with fresh strawberries (I am drooling just thinking about them).
Have you nodded off yet?
Crafting time had finally arrived and there was lots of laughing  but not many cards made :o)
I made a ginormous cottage pie for dinner and this was followed with Pauline's gorgeous home made black sticky gingerbread and more cream. Methinks it will take more than this week to work of those calories.....
Anyhow, time to show you my cards before you forget why you are here :o)

As usual, I have feather my photographs in PSP then printed onto Bazzill and linen card, then cut and folded to A6 apart from the peacock which is 6x6. I have shown the peacock inside to illustrate that I put the image on the insert too.
Okay, you can wake up now, I've finished :o)

Yet another friend's anniversary

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all as well as you can be.
The jet stream is on it's way back to where it belongs so the weather should start picking up next week  YAYYYYYYYYYYY.
This is the third of 4 anniversary cards I had to make so only one more to go :o)

I cut  an A4 sheet of white linen card to 10x7,  then folded at 2.5" and 7.5", then punched each end with Martha Stewart punch. On the two fronts I added Memory Box leaf vine and poppy die cuts and on the inside I added my own photograph of a dogrose and sentiment printed in Word and cut with Nesties. That's all there is to it :o)

Planes 'n' boats 'n' .....

.....sorry, no trains!
Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well with you and yours. Firstly, I would like to welcome May, my newest follower.
I have a selection of plane and boat CAS cards to share with you today, all of them are my own photographs of course and all feathered in PSP :o)

The planes and helicopter were taken at Duxford in 2008 and the boats at Carsington Water also in 2008.
I have shown the inside of the spitfires only, but they all have the same image inside as on the front. As you can see, some are embossed/debossed, but not all. All except the spitfires were cut with Nesties/Grand Nesties. I hope you like them :o)

Another friend's anniversary card

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well with you and yours. The sun is shining here this morning, not sure for how long though!
I can't believe it's the last day of my holiday, I have to go back to work tomorrow! I don't mind though because I have run out of money. The weather wasn't conducive to going out and taking photographs so I went out spending instead. Three different craft shops and lots of dies later, my purse is empty! No, I don't use a card for my craft shopping, I go to shops and see and feel before I buy.
I have 4 friends with anniversaries in August, this is the second card so that's 2 down, 2 to go :o)

Base card is white hammered cut and folded to 6x6.
I versamarked the Lindsay Mason flutterbies onto plain white card and heat embossed with Stampendous detail white, then went over it with brayer using Big & Juicy Spice inkpad.
I layered the main panel onto copper pearlised card from ??? added a scrap of ribbon from stash, then layered onto the base card. Copper flutterbies cut using SU embosslits folder and that's all there is to it :o)

8x8 anniversary for friends

Good morning everyone, I hope you have the same sunshine we have at the moment. We are set to have a lovely day today then all hell breaks loose again Friday and Saturday, so methinks I had better make hay while the sun shines :o)
Anyhow, onto my card for today which is 8x8 in soft blue and white.

Scalloped card blank from???
White and blue panels cut with Nesties from pearlised square offcuts which I bought at PDA several years ago and rediscovered in my stash yesterday! The white ones were embossed using an SU folder.
Other dies used are from Marianne and Memory Box, and the sentiment is from a Woodware set of word stamps, cut out with Nesties.

Christmas penguin x 4

Good morning everyone, I hope that all is well with you and that it's not raining where you are.
I was wearing my Christmas head on Sunday so I had to make Christmas cards and here they are :o)

I cut and folded white hammered card to 5x7, my favourite size cards.
All of the backing photographs were taken at Elvaston Castle and the penguin was taken at Twycross Zoo.
I feathered the penguin and added it to each background photograph, then added a sentiment. I printed, cropped and layered them onto plain black card. The tree, holly and snowflakes are all Memory Box die cuts. That's all there is to them, all quite simple :o)

Not my photograph

Good morning Bloggers, how contrary is the weather? Sun one day and torrential rain the next and so on ad infinitum.....
The beautiful photograph on this card was taken by the lovely Christine She asked me how to feather images and this is her first one so give her a big cheer please :o)
Christine has allowed me to use her photograph and here it is. I made matching paper from it too. This is a birthday card for a friend :o)

For once I didn't cut and fold my own base card, it is 8x8 and I can't remember where I bought the pack of 25 complete with envelopes!
I cut the flower and backing out using a Nestie then inked the edges. Foliage is a Cheery Lynn die and sentiment is SU punches and stamp.
I am looking forward to seeing more from Christine as she progresses :o)

Back to my photographs...

...sorry, I can't stay away from them for long :o)
Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well in your world, as it is in mine.
I have just ordered my ticket for the Hunkydory Craft Show at Donnington Park in August and I am sooooooooooo looking forward to it :o)
I am off to Byrkley Park this morning to see if I can get some more of the gorgeous Papermania textured card, it's great for printing on.
Anyhow, on to my cards for today, yes, it's a set and they are all pink and white :o)

All the photograph are printed onto pink Bazzill and cut out with Nesties and layered onto red Bazzill. I have also used the same red and pink  Bazzill for the lattice and foliage which was cut with Memory Box, Marianne and Cheery Lynn dies and Leone Em punch. Sentiment stamps are SU :o)

A little rest from my photographs

Good afternoon Bloggers, I'm late on parade today as I went into Long Eaton to have breakfast with my 86 year old aunt in Asda cafe. She loves Asda so much that she breakfasts there every weekday after doing her job for the day. Yes, she still works so it must be in the blood LOL.
On to my card for today, I thought it was time to show you that I CAN make them with other than my photographs :)

It looks almost black and cream on the picture but it is brown and cream!
Believe it or not, I found a box full of this gorgeous cream linen card in my stash, totally forgotten and unloved, but now I am using it like there is no tomorrow and I wish I knew where I had got it from because I want MORE!!!. There were about 25 to 30 sheets in the box but that has gone down quite a bit now :o)
I cut and folded the card to 6x6, and used Memory box poppy die and I can't remember what the other one is called but it's also MB.Added the stamped sentiment in the corner and Bob's yer Uncle, job done! Sorry I can't remember who made the sentiment stamp :o)

Update
I finally got to go into my craftrrom and check the border die and sentiment. It is memory Box Piestra Tile, and the sentiment is a PB stamp!

Get well set

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well with you. The sun is shining here :o)
My cousin asked me to make some get well cards for her stock and she was delighted with them. She likes CAS so CAS is what I made!
Of course all the photographs are my own :o)

They are all printed onto Papermania textured card them cut and folded to A6. Each of them has the same photograph inside as the one on the front. Photographs feathered in PSP and words added in MS Word :o)
