New TH die

Good morning everyone, what a gloriously sunny Easter day it is here near Derby, I hope you have the same wherever you are.
This is my first card using my new TH Tattered Florals die and I am quite pleased with it :o)

I created my own background again for this one. Same method as on my previous card but using a different M-Bossability A4 folder.
Card blank is PDA card from stash, folded and cut to 6x6.
Dies used are TH, Cheery Lynn, Memory Box and SU punches and stamp.
I cut the flower from a scrap of music paper found in a drawer, then brayed it with the same Big and Juicy inkpad that I did the backing with :o)

Whales and dolphins

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world and the snow has cleared off!
Thank you for all the well wishes for my first physio session. From what other peeps had said I was expecting it to be grim but not at all, I got through it fine and was very interested when the physiotherapist showed me on a skeleton shoulder just what is wrong with mine. I find that when I know what is causing the pain I can better understand it.  'Twas a good session and I am hopeful of a phased return to work in a couple of weeks (fingers crossed :o)
Anyhow, on to my card for today

I created the backing by embossing 160gsm thin card with M-Bossability A4 folder then brayering with a Fiskars textured brayer and a Big and Juicy inkpad.
I folded and cut pale blue hammered PMS card to 6x6 and layered the backing on.
I took the photographs in Sea World, Florida and Miami Seaquarium in 1989, before there were digital cameras so I had to scan them in. I opened them in Photoshop Elements 5 the create the frame and the title, then printed in Word on photo paper and about 3 years or so ago and never used it. I found several of my old photographs which I had printed and never used. It really does pay to have a shuftie through your old stash occasionally :o) The only new stuff used on this card is the starfish and anchor dies from Marianne. Methinks I may add a couple more starfish :o)

It's that rose again...

...sorry, I can't help it, I love this rose even though I do say so myself LOL.
Good morning everyone, I hope you are all warm and well and snow free or at least not snowed in. I really feel for those poor souls without electricity. Hugs to all of you {{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}
I am off to the hospital this morning for my first ever physio session so please wish me luck!
Onto my card for today, as the title suggests to have seen this rose more than once but not this card :o)

It could be suitable for several occasions.
Base card is white pearlised from stash, folded and cut to 7x5 then embossed with
M-Bossability A4 folder.
Own photograph feathered in PSP then printed in Word onto Papermania textured card, sentiment is Viner Hand font.
Cut with Nesties then layered onto card, pearls and ribbon from stash added :o)

Back from the wilderness.....

Good morning everyone I hope you are all as well as you can be...hugs
I have been internet-less since last Tuesday and it was like being cut off from everything :o( It turned out to be my ancient cable modem which has worked hard for about 18 years and has now been replaced by a shiny new space age looking hub. I have even been able to get rid of my router because the new hub has an inbuilt one :o)

My Granddaughter Sian has pledged to eat only £1 worth of food for the whole of April, to see why click here and if you feel able to give then please do :o)

Anyhow, onto my card for today which is 8x8

This is a very simple card using my own photograph of a great crested grebe which I took at Attenborough Nature reserve about 4 years or so ago.
8x8 card blank from ?
Photograph opened in Paint Shop Pro and feathered, then flipped to show two birds together.
Printed and sentiment added in Word using Viner Hand font onto Papermania textured card. Cut with Grand Nesties and layered onto the card then Martha Stewart punched borders added :o)

It's that daisy again

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world :o)
I am sorry to say that I haven't so far managed to source any of the gold and silver linen card I mentioned previously. I went to PDA yesterday (I am lucky enough to live only 12 miles from them) and got some of theirs which is quite different but I bought some anyway. Their linen card is more knobbly than my favourite one but still good, and their gold is not what I would call gold, more bronze but still nice. They call it casino gold. I also found some gold and silver that is finely fluted so I had to buy some of that too, watch out for it coming up on my cards later :o) Having said all that, if anyone finds any like the Kanban one anywhere please let me know :o)
Okay, I'll stop waffling, here is my card for today!

This is a 7x7 card cut with another of my new Grand nesties and embossed with my new A4 MBossability folder. The ivory and the fawn cardcards are both pearlised from stash and the pink and green is from scraps. Once again the daisy is from me 'rediscovered' Sizzix Bigz die and the foliage is Leone Em punch and Cheery Lynn die. It's the first airing for the Docrafts baker's twine. Flower centre brad is from stash :o)

The rest of my cousin's order...

...I delivered them on Thursday and she was delighted with them, said she was going to show them to her friends LOL.
Good morning everyone, I hope you are all warm and dry! If it isn't snowing it's raining, what a choice eh!
This is the rest of my cousin's order and this time I used the positive images :o)

Now I have a problem getting the gorgeous gold and silver linen type card cuz where I usually buy it got it from Kanban! Does anyone know of anywhere else I can get it cuz I haven't got any left :o(

Two more Easter cards

Good morning Bloggers, I hope you are all keeping well and warm. We have a really thick frost here near Derby this morning Brrrrrrrrrrr, but at least we have wall to wall blue sky and sunshine at the moment :o)
I'm off out to spend the day with my cousin and to deliver her ordered cards. We will be popping across the road for a pub lunch Mmmmmmm!
My cards for today were made using three of my new Grand Nesties, I am so glad I bought them LOL.

The first one is 7x5, the second is 8x6.5. I used Papermania textured card to print my photograph on but alas, I printed on the wrong side, but I think they look acceptable!
Sentiments are computer generated using Dauphin font. Both are finished off with Spellbinders crosses :o)

First from my new toys

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all warm and dry. It seems that winter is back so we may as well make the most of it and stay in our craft spaces!
This is the first card using one of my new sets of Grand Nesties and what a beautiful set it is too. The largest circle is exactly 8" across.

It is also my first time making this style of card and I am fairly pleased with it.
The only new things used on this card are the large Nesties, all the rest is from stash. I dug my old Sizzix Bigz daisy die out, poor thing hasn't seen the light of day for many moons but now I have rediscovered it I will use it more!
All card except the green is pearlised. Swirl is Cheery Lynn, leaves are Memory Box and the sentiment is SU cut out with small Nesties. Flower and sentiment are raised on foam pads :o)

Commissioned set.....

.....using the negative image as requested by my cousin. She had two of the red ones from me last year and loved them enough to want more in different colours :o)
Good morning Bloggers, I hope you are all warm and dry. Looks like we've had Spring and now winter is back!!!!!
On to my cards for today. They are part of a commission, I will show the others later.

All are 5x7 folded and cut from linen card, some white and some ivory.
There are 6 in the set but there's 2 of the red one which is her favourite. She specifically asked for the negative to be used because she loves the effect. I cut the Marianne foliage then cut and layered the negatives onto different colours mirricard and raised them with sticky foam pads. Sentiments are computer generated then punched with SU punches :o)

Easter cards

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well with you and yours...hugs.
I haven't looked outside yet to see what it's like out there! Yesterday it was freezing fog to start with then the sun came out and it was a glorious day :o)
I had a wonderful day on Monday, an extension to my birthday. Off I went to visit Docrafter friend Mol, she and her hubby Mick entertained and fed me right royally. We went to Once Upon a Stamp at Pleasley Village and I spent, spent, spent :o) I bought 4 x Grand Nestie sets, an A4 Mbossability folder and several A4 magnetic sheets to store them on. Sorry I can't show you pics, I forgot to photograph them before I threw away the packaging!
Anyhow, on to my cards for today :o)

This one is so simple, I just printed my own photograph onto Papermania Textured card and added the greeting in Word using my favourite Dauphin font, then folded and cut to A6.

Another quite simple card again using my own photograph also printed onto Papermania textured card, and cut with Marianne die. The frame, also a Marianne die, is cut from gold mirri card although it looks bronze here, as is the Spellbinder's cross. The base card, also Papermania textured card, was folded and cut into 6x6
Now I have to get blogging and catchup on your gorgeous uploads whilst I have been enjoying myself :o)

You'll never guess what I have found now

Good morning Bloggers, I hope you are all well as you can be and that all mojos have made it back to where they belong...hugs
I had a wonderful day for my birthday yesterday. I went off to Breedon on the Hill and had my hair cut (a no appointment hairdresser at the garden centre) then it would have been rude not to pop into Annette's Crafty Corner and spend my birthday money, wouldn't it LOL. Among other things I bought a Cheery Lynn die and stocked up with white linen card, then came home and played in the craftroom. No cards made but I did do several toppers and not used my new die yet!
My title? Well, it's surprising what you find when you're not looking. I knew that some years back (more than 3) I have bought about a hundred A4 sheets of ivory linencard, which I put into an A4 plastic box. Now I have bookshelves filled with these boxes of card and yet I never could find that one, it had totally vanished. Well, when I wasn't looking, it reappeared because I found it on Thursday. Did somebody say where was it? Well, it was on the bookshelves of course LOL. I am sure that as soon as I leave the craftroom the gremlins come out to play!
Anyhow, onto my cards for today if you haven't nodded off already :o)

Just a few more from my 'finds', these will be the last of them for a while as I have a 12 card order to make next!

Tomorrow I am off on another adventure so I will tell you all about it later :o)
