A page for a change

Good morning Bloggers, I hope you are all well and if not then I hope you soon will be...hugs
Thank you for all your good wishes for my return to work. It was a bit of a bodyshock but I am into my second week back and doing fine :o)
I have a scrapbook page to share with you today, a reminder of my lovely trip to Calke Abbey last week.

I created the image in PSP7 (Paint Shop Pro) from photographs taken on the day, then printed it edge to edge on Papermania textured card. Sadly I only have an A4 printer and I like my pages to be 12x12 so I cropped it to 8x8 and attached it to a sheet of Bazzill.  I cut the embellishment out from a 12x12 sheet in my stash, I think it might MME but not sure. It was much harder work cutting that out than creating the main image!!! I was always in danger of cutting the branches off cuz they were so fine :o)

Resist stamping

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs.
Well, I have completed my first week back at work after nearly 4 months off with my shoulder, and I live to tell the tale LOL.
On to my card for today.

Base card is white linen brayered with Fiskars roller then folded and cut to 7x5, my favourite size.
Agapanthus stamped with Versamark them heat embossed with Cosmic Shimmer powder, then brayered with Big and Juicy inkpad. Cut with my new Nesties then layered onto base card, add a little inking round the edges and Memory Box die + pearls coloured with copics :o)

I've been playing

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs
First I must give a warm welcome to new follower Mel, thank you for joining me :o)
I have been having a play with some of my photographs and this card was made just for fun. I really enjoyed playing with the various photographs.
The main pic of the tree trunk was taken at Calke Abbey last week, as was the deer that you can just see peeking from the sides.
The teacups are my good friend PatEssex's (Docrafts), the little doll on the chair is my daughter's, I took the pic several years ago cuz I thought it might be useful one day..... the mushroom sits on a shelf in my kitchen, the dragonfly I took in my daughter's garden a few summers ago and the meerkats I took at Twycross Zoo in the dim and distant past!

It took me about 4 hours of playing and 5 minutes to make the card LOL.
here's another bit of playing.

I took this pic of the cropped tree because I thought I could see a photograph on the nice new cut. So here you have it, me!
I hope you like my playaround in Paint Shp Pro :o)

Two sympathy cards for the box

Good morning everyone, and what a lovely sunny one it is too. I hope all is well in your world...hugs
I went to work yesterday afternoon for the first time in 3 1/2 months and boy did it feel good. I only did two hours as part of a phased return but I really enjoyed being there and no ill effects this morning so far!
Like most folks, I don't enjoy making sympathy cards so I have made a couple for the box and here they are.

Both are my own photographs, feathered in PSP and printed in Word onto Papermania textured card then folded and cut to 5x7. Nothing else to say really, just two very simple cards. For me, sympathy cards have to be CAS :o)

8x8 lily card

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well in your world...hugs
It was so beautiful yesterday weatherwise that I went off to Calke Abbey with my cameras and had a lovely time. The pics are still in the cameras yet so can't show them this time :o)
Anyhow, here is my latest card.

This is another of the three for two 8x8 Embossalicious folders that I bought a couple of weeks ago. Such a good buy!
The backing is from J and P Pictures online sets (My own and PatEssex's, now defunct) and I printed it onto white linen card, then embossed and sanded it, a first for me! Own photograph printed onto Papermania textured card and cut with nesties. I even added ribbon now that I can see what I've got at a glance LOL. Corners are Memory Box cut from Bazzill card, as is the mat for the lily. All layered onto blue Bazzill card :o)

Another page

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well in your world. Enjoy your day whatever you are doing :o)
Took my fit note into work yesterday and I am going back on a phased return next Monday 22nd Whoopeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. I have been off with my shoulder for 3 1/2 months and I will be so glad to get back there. Never going to grumble about work again!
I'm off out to my (non crafting) friend's this morning and we are going to Duffield for a pub lunch, can't remember the name of the pub but I have no doubt we will enjoy our meal :o)
This is the other half to my fairy page making a double LO for St Chad's Water. Journalling will be hidden at the back of the page (when I get it done LOL).

Very simple layout. Backing is Bazzill card. All photographs are matted onto dark green card which I found in my stash. Title cut with Cricut using George and Basic Shapes cart. I have the large photograph as my screen wallpaper at the moment, it's like having a piece of art on the wall :o)

Fairy staircase

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs
A few peeps suggested that the fungus growing up the tree on one of my latest photographs looked like a fairy staircase which gave me the idea for this 12x12 page. Not too sure about it but heyho, I can always try again later :o)

I used several stamps from Lindsay Mason and Lavinia. The fairies were created by myself and PatEssex on Docrafts from two of my own photographs. That was in the days when we were producing CDs from our own pics. The lady we used is from a photograph I took of the Memphis Belle (remember the film) aeroplane at Duxford some years ago, and the wings are a flutterby I took at a bird and butterfly  park somewhere in Dorset or Somerset, I think it was at Rode, also many years ago. The large mushrooms at the bottom are actually a wooden one at Carsington Water, Derbyshire and I thought it made a great resting place for our fairy LOL. All in all, I have created the image using 4 different photographs, then printed it onto Daler-Rowney tracing paper and cut it to 8x8. Dies used are Marianne and Memory Box. I haven't done any journalling as it is just for me, but I may add a title later :o)

A card and a storage problem solved

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well in your world :o)
It seems to me to be colder since the rain and wind arrived than it was when it snowed. Feels so damp!
First up this morning, I spotted a ribbon storage solution in the lovely Incy's gallery over on Docrafts. She had used an svg file so I decided to have a go at making my own in SCAL and here is the result cut on the Cricut. I think Incy's was a bit smaller. Mine is 4 1/2" by 2 7/8" but can be cut to any size. I have save the cutout bits to stamp sentiments on :o)

I am very pleased with it and have so far cut out 17 of them and filled them up with ribbons. Got a lot more to cut out. Maybe now I will use ribbon a bit more often because I can see what I've got at a glance :o)

I do love my new 8x8 Embossalicious folders, I got them 3 for the price of 2 at Strikes garden centre, Congleton, on my crafting day with friends last weekend. I cut the card blank to 8 1/4 inch square as I have some 8 1/2 inch envelopes from who knows where!
The image was stamped way back in the mists of time and then abandoned but I dug it out when I found all those others languishing in a box a few weeks ago. I cut it and it's backing out with Grand Nesties, the gold being from the gold linen card kindly donated to me by the lovely Christine thank you Christine.
Base card is Bazzill, cut to 8 1/4 x 8 1/4. I scored the back about 3/4" down before attaching the front with strong DS tape :o)

A couple of cards

Good afternoon everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs
I'm a tad late today, had to go for physio first and she is very pleased with my progress. If I am still progressing  as well next time then she will sign me off :o)
I have two cards to show you today, both with my own photographs but both quite different.

As you can see, this one is very CAS. I took the photograph at Calke Abbey last summer. Feathered it in PSP and opened in Word then added the text and printed onto my favourite Papermania Textured card, then folded and cut to 7x5

For this one I folded and cut mauve hammered card to 6x6. The backing is plain white card embossed with M-Bossability A4 folder then brayered with Fiskars textured roller using Big and Juicy inkpad. SU sentiment cut with Nesties. This is one of the photographs I languishing in a drawer, I had it printed out about 3 years ago :o)

One of those cards nobody enjoys making

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs
This is my card for Sandra, a lovely lady over on Docrafts who passed away a few days ago. She was always ready to help anyone who needed it and will be sadly missed but happily remembered. R.I.P. Sandra

I wanted to keep it simple. I titled this rose 'Tears in Heaven'

A few photographs

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well and warm. At least the frost this morning was very light unlike the previous few days when it was very thick!
I went for a stroll around St. Chad's Water on Tuesday and these are just a few of the many photographs that I took. It was a very wild day with glorious sunshine and sometimes dark clouds and sub zero temperatures and it certainly blew the cobwebs away. It was too cold for many peeps to be there which meant no-one got in the way of me taking pics! It is one of my favourite places and is only 3 miles away from here. In warmer weather it is great to take a book and sit reading and watching the wildfowl having their squabbles over which section of the lake belongs to which birds :o)

Tomorrow I am off to Macclesfield for a crafting get together with friends and no doubt we will get some retail therapy in too :o)

It's those daffs again

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well with you and yours.
Good news, well it is for me, my doctor says I can go back to work in a fortnight YIPPEEEEE. It is dependent on what the OT nurse and work says when I see her next week as it has to be a phased return. By the time I go back it will have been 3 1/2 months, never had that amount of time off altogether let alone in one go!
Anyhow, on to my card for today.

As always, base card is white linen folded and cut to 5x7.
My daffodil photograph feathered and printed onto Papermania textured card in Word then cut and layered with Nesties. Sorry to say it's a bit fuzzy so the gold fluted card from PDA  doesn't show up on the pic. Sentiment is SU, sorry can't remember what die I used, it might be Xcut! Memory Box corner die to finish :o)

Shaped anniversary

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well in your world and you had a lovely Easter :o)
OMG, I just looked out of the window and it's snowing big flakes and settling. It wasn't snowing when I sat down here half an hour ago. Oh well, perhaps a day to stay in and play then!
On to my card for today. I wanted to keep it very simple and flat for posting.

I cut white linen card twice to 5x7 with Grand Nesties, scored one of them about 3/4" down then using DS tape I attached it to the front piece.
I opened my own swan photograph in PSP and feathered it, then mirrored it and put the two together.  I then opened it in Word and added the sentiment, Viner hand or Vivaldi font (sorry, can't remember which) the printed onto Papermania textured card. I think the rest is self explanatory :o)
