Grand-daughter's money wallet

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world and you have survived the festivities...hugs

I spent Christmas money on a new 1 Tb external hard drive because my old one was making very funny noises and I didn't want to risk losing my 20,000+ photographs. It took me 5 hours to get everythning transferred from the old to the new but I can breathe easily again now, thank goodness. I keep everything on the ext. drive, I save nothing at all to the computer or laptop drives. I also have a backup drive, just in case LOL.

It's a while since I used my photographs, and as my Grand-daughter Sian likes CAS and unfussy (no flowers) I thought this would be just right for her. Her birthday isn't until the 11th but she doesn't look at the blogs so it's safe to show it!

The base card is my usual white linencard from The Range.
I scored the A4 sheet a 5" and 10", the folded the flap inside the card before cutting it to 7".
The church spire you see reflected in the water sits atop the parish church at Attenborough, Notts. and is where a lot of our ancestors (paternal) were baptised, married, buried.
The photograph was taken across one of the lakes at Attenborough Nature Reserve a few years ago,  as was the bulrushes photograph at a different time. My good friend PatEssex (Docrafts) tubed the bulrushed for me. I opened both pics in PSP and merged them, then added the greeting using Smarty Pants font :o)

That's one heck of a lot of images Jackie, not surprised you wanted to back them up.

Love today's card the sepia tones and the sleek feel to the card, sounds perfect for your granddaughter.

A lovely card Jackie... and it all sounds so technical!! 'Tubing the bulrushes'? Anyway... very impressive and I love that you've used just the reflection!

Oooh meant to add, sorry about your hard drive, sooo annoying the extra expense at Xmas too. At least you didn't lose anything. I have copies of everything on EHD, memory sticks etc, am paranoid after losing stuff once lol ;) Viv xx

Wow, this is such a beautiful card Jackie: Sian will really love it.

Wise decision to get a new external hard drive before it goes belly-up and good to have other backups as well. You can never have too much!
