Problem solved. I finally found my original photograph of the flower in the card below. My apologies for saying it was NOT a gerbera, cuz it is. I've slapped my wrist for you LOL.
Added later: Forgot to say that the reason I couldn't remember what it was is because once the edges had gone it didn't look like a gerbera to me LOL.

I love Gerbera, shame bought ones don't last a bit longer without the mess on of wiring the necks.

Of course it's a Gerbera ! I know as I had to make so many wedding invitations with one on for my son and DIL as she loves them.Hers was orange too and in her bouquet and her dress even too lol ;) Viv xx
Toooo funny! I remember one of the commenters saying it WAS a gerber. The color is amazing and my gerbera have more petals....perhaps that threw you too. Love that you found the original. I see that you were "on a mission" to find it...and with success!!!
