Christmas 18

Good morning everyone, what a lovely start to the day here after a night of rain, it is very windy and more rain is promised, but it is April still LOL.
I hope all is well with you and yours, wherever you are...hugs.

I have a simple Christmas card to share with you this morning.

Card used is my usual white linencard from The Range, folded and cut to 7x5 for the basecard.
Elzybells image stamped onto the same card and coloured with Caran D'Ache watercolour pencils, then cut with Spellbinders pierced rectangle die.
Sentiment stamp is from an old Stamps and Smiles set.
Memory Box die used for the mirri card border.
Not much else I can say about it :o)

Not a photograph in sight!

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs.

Much as I love using my photographs, I decided on a bit of a change with this one. It's been a long time since I made a rocker card and I quite enjoyed making it.
I love brown and cream together, reminds my of a lovely mug of coffee, which I have sitting beside me as I type LOL.

Doesn't seem 5 minutes since I was saying "I can't believe it's nearly April already" and now it's nearly May already!

Oh well, enough spouting on, here is my card for today.

It is 7" round.
Cream card is lovely textured card from my stash, I've had it for aeons so not sure where I got it but it might be PDA. Brown linencard also from stash, no idea where that is from!
I used Spellbinders Grand Nesties for the basecard and mats and the foliage was cut with one of my two new Memory Box dies.
I made the tiny flowers using gold punched bits from my bits box.
Punches used are Woodware and Xcut.
Penny Black sentiment stamped with Versamak and embossed with Stampendous Detail Gold powder.
Tiny white peasrls coloured with Copic marker pen :o)

I hope that all is well in your world, or at least as well as it can be, wherever you are...hugs.

Today I have the same swan in two slightly different poses! I do hope you are not getting tired of swans, only two more to come. Yes, I did say I had made 6 cards, but I made a 7th later LOL.

Both CAS card again!
All card used on both is my usual white linencard, folded and cut to fit into 6x6 envelopes.
Photographs printed onto the same whit card then cut with Spellbinders square die.
Clear gems coloured with Copic marker pen.
There really isn't anything else to be said about them :o)

Every cloud...

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs.

The fog is gradually clearing here but it's still a bit grey out there!

I came across the old stamp set while I was searching for something else, as we do LOL. I think it's a Woodware set but not certain on that!

Another very simple card, as these are my favourite style!
All card used is my usual white linencard from The Range.
Image coloured with Caran D'Ache watercolour pencils, then cut with Die-namics stitched round dies.  sentiment is from the same stamp set.
Clear gems from stash.
I am running late this morning so may be a bit late in commenting on you projects :o)

Not my photographs

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

According to the forecast this morning, we are going to be warmer than Ibiza today!!! Now the main reason that I don't go abroad is because I cannot get on with the heat, so where does that leave me?

Onto my cards for today. A lovely Docrafter, Paula (cardcraft), sent me some photograph that she had take the previous week and asked if I would like to play with them. Of course I said yes and these cards show what I did with them!

Aren't they wonderful photographs?
The one with the Caister Beach (my own) photograph is 8x8, the bottom one is 7x5 and the others are 6x6.
All white card used is linencard except for the 8x8 basecard, which is a Papermania card blank.
Card used for the mats is all pearlised from PDA and cut with Spellbinders dies.
Other dies used are Die-namics, Marianne and Memory Box.
Many thanks to Paula for allowing me to use her beautiful photographs :o)

My old friend the Orang Utan

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all as well as you can be...hugs.

I would like to welcome new follower Marie-Louise, lovey to have you aboard...hugs.

Onto my card for today. This is a photograph I took at Twycross Zoo way back in 2010. I have used him on cards before but I thought it was time he saw the light of day again. I still have to smile when I see him and remember the day I took it. I was so fascinated with him, and I stood watching him for ages! He had such deep wisdom in his eyes and looked at us mere humans as though we were to be pitied!

Basecard is my usual white linencard from The Range, folded and cut to fit a 6x6 envelope.
Photograph pritned onto the same card, then cut with Die-namics round stitched circle die.
Sentiment stamped with Stamps and Smiles then cut with Die-namics fishtail die.
Foliage cut from a piece of scrap card with Memory Box die.

For a change, I decided to add my original photograph so here he is in all his glory. I had previously been watching him ambling around then he decided he wanted to be above us all, so up the tree he went :o)

This was him before he went climbing :o)

Swan 3 of 6

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all as well as you can be on this grey day...hugs.

Sorry, I couldn't resist going back to my swans. This particular photograph I love, even though I took it myself LOL. He looks so magnificent in this pose! Just before I took this pic he was walking towards us and he looked quite threatening, then he rose up to his full height and, me being a short**** and a coward, I felt quite small so I backed off pronto!!!
Anyhow, here he is .

Card used is my usual linencard, folded and cut to 7x5 for the basecard.
I feathered the swan as usual and printed him onto the same card, then cut using Spellbinders pierced rectangle dies, and attached him with sticky foam pads to give dimension.
Clear gems coloured with black Copic marker pen :o)

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

I was surprised yesterday morning to see thick frost after all the lovely warm days we had. Back to warmer this morning :o)

All card used is my usual white linencard from The Range.
Base card is 7x5, folded and cut from A4 sheet.
I love this Elizabeth O Dulemba bookworm image enjoyed having the opportunity to use it.
Image coloured with Copics, sentiment is computer generated using Dauphin font.

Swan 2 of 6

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all as well as you can be...hugs.

A warm welcome to new follwer Sally H, welcome aboard Sally, and thank you to Brenda for recommending my blog to her  :o)

I was very rudely awakend this morning by something landing on my shoulder. I shot out of bed quicker than I have been capable of for many a long while and found it was a huge bumble bee!!!

It would appear that our mini heatwave is ending right about now.  For myself that is good cuz I can't get on with heat, but I know a lot of you will be disappointed!

Enough waffling now, here is my card for today.

Same swan as No. 1 but a different pose. He looks a tad more threatening on this one methinks.
All card used is my usual white linencard from The Range.
My photograh feathered in PSP7 and printedout then cut with die-namics stitched circle die.
Wavy border cut with Spellbinders die.
Not much else I can say about it really :o)

50th anniversary in a hurry

Good morning everyone, and what a foggy start we have to the day here near Derby! I hope all is well in your world...hugs.

I had a phone call from my boss at work, "please Jackie, could you do me a big favour?" Less than 24 hours notice for a 50th anniversary card for her parents!!! I knew I had a gold rose photograph but I had to find it! Luckily, there it was, sitting in the rose folder within my flower folders. Thank goodness I have them all organised on my external hard drive! I couldn't believe it was 2007 when I took the photograph, OMG where did those nearly 8 years go to so quickly?

Just in case you are wondering so why last minute, she had tried to buy one from work and we didn't have any in so she was in a panic!!!!!

Anyhow, enough waffle, here is the card and thank goodness she loved it!

My usual white linencard, folded and cut to 7x5 for the base card.
I feathered the rose in PSP7 and added the sentiment using Vivaldi font, then printed it onto the same card, then cut with Spellbinders pierced die and popped it with sticky foam strips.
Clear gems from stash coloured with Copic marker :o)

3 day eventing

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well and enjoying your Easter  weekend...hugs.

I don't get Easter off work, but I do get time off later  when I want it. I work 5 BH Mondays so I put them together for an extra week off later.

I have been digging deep into my photograph folders again and found this one I took at Draycott House in 2008. Draycott House is, strangely enough, at Draycott in Derbyshire, and is just a couple of miles from where I live. I was passing one day and saw there was 3 day eventing going on and as I had my cameras with me I popped in for a few minutes! It was free!

As usual, I feathered  it in PSP7 then printed it onto my usual white linencard and cut it with Die-namics stitched round die.  All the card used is the said white linencard.
Wavy band is the waste from a previous card and the tiny buttons from stash.

I couldn't leave without wishing you all a wonderful Easter Weekend, have a good one everybody :o)

Sunrise and a baby card

Good morning everyone, how could you not feel good when you see Mother Nature at her best. This was what greeted me as I opened my curtains this morning at 6.30am.

I hope all is well in your world...hugs

And now for my card today!

Very simple new arrival card in neutral colours for when you don't know if its a girl or boy!
While card is my usual white linencard.
Buff card is Bazzill Basics that I have had forever and a day.
Image is one I won very many moons ago, colured with Copics and cut with Spellbinders die, as is the mat.
