Cuttlebug be inspired-taxes and numbers #27

Good morning bloggers, here is my entry for the
Cuttlebug challenge-taxes and numbers #27 over on http://cuttlebugchallenge.blogspot.com/2009/04/taxes-be-inspired-27.html
I thought it was time I did another heritage page, haven't made one for a couple of years now! It is a 12x12 page and the side panel is the waste from die cutting swirls. Used Cuttlebug script folder on the mat for the journalling to go with the script paper from my stash.
The journalling is handwritten and just says that the photograph is my Dad and me. I never knew him as he passed away just after my 3rd birthday.
Materials/equipment:
Bazzill
Sizzix swirl die
Rainbow parchment
Cricut-George & basic shapes, Tags, bags, boxes & more
EK Success Paper shapers flower punch
Stickles

Such a lovely layout Jackie. I love how you have put your photograph as the flower centre and how you have followed through the script in your paper and embossing. And very resourceful too using up your scraps from making swirls! Great take on our numbers challenge! Thanks for playing along this week at http://cuttlebugchallenge.blogspot.com/

Jackie, I love the simplicity in colors of your layout, the way you have your father's photo in the flower center and isn't that border strip just clever?! Very nicely done! :)
