Brilliant day

What a great day we all had on Sunday :o) There were 8 of us all packed into Pauline's kitchen crafting and laughing and talking nineteen to the dozen. Pauline & Hubby Rob ( he makes a wonderful tea boy) were great hosts and with excellent company, food & crafting what more could anyone want? Well, added to all that, we all piled into 2 cars and went of to Monk's Den in Ashby de la Zouch to buy crafting goodies WooHooooooooooooooooooo :o) I only managed to make 1 full card (the photograph one) and 2 part cards which I finished this morning.

I bought some MME papers and matching stamps and some Papermania poppy stamps and some bit's and pieces :o) The DP on the above card is from the MME pad and I stamped it with matching stamp then sprayed it with gold spray.
The DP on here is also from MME but I bought that a few weeks ago. Can you tell I love MME :o) All colouring done with Copics.

A few more with my nesties

All own photographs. This one I took in Southwold in June. For the backing I converted the same photograph to pencil drawing in PSP. I had used the biggest nestie in the set for this so I had to mat and then hand cut round it so don't look to closely :o)
The next 3 are all from our Pictures for the Man CD over at www.jandppictures.co.uk
I stamped the first one with SU geese and Magenta trees for the background on the 1st one.
I cut out some of the footbals from the DP and raised them, then used Glossy Accents on them.

For this one I stamped a few bits from the See Dees Gone Fishing set

Been playing with my new toys

Good morning all you lovely Bloggers.
My new nesties arrived on Tuesday but I didn't get the chance to play until Thursday, then I was at work on Friday but here they are finally :o)
On this one I have used one from my gorgeous MME cardstack and the mats are Bazzill Basics.

I just adore this snow trio which I stamp at my lovely friend Viv's house. Base card is Bazzill and the spotty card is from MME.

These two were made using some of our paper packs and topper packs over at www.jandppictures.co.uk/

For this one I used ny new PB stamp and it's the first airing for my Argyle embossing folder from Sizzix. I have used my lovely Copics for all the colouring :o)

Oh WOW! What an evening

If you love drums and you've never seen the Mugenkyo Taiko Drummers, then look to see if they are on at a venue near you. My daughter Susan and I went to see them in Derby last night and they are magnificent. The energy they put into it is unbelievable and you feel the drumming from the feet right up through your body. I even bought the DVD so that I could watch them again.....and again.....and again :o)
I wish I lived in Lanark where they have the Mugen Taiko Dojo, the centre for Taiko drumming in the UK. There you can do workshops and learn to play yourself, I think I would be in heaven :o)
See for yourself at www.taiko.co.uk

MTSC #42 and Stamp Something-brown and something

It's not often that I do a 2 in 1 challenge, but this one just fell into place. I had to make a birthday card and decided as it's that time of year I would use an Autumn theme with Mercy's Tuesday sketch over at http://lordhavemercy-mercykerin.blogspot.com/2009/10/mercys-tuesday-sketch-challenge-42.html
and of course the brown makes it suitable for Stamp Something's brown and something over at http://stampchallenges.blogspot.com/2009/10/brown-plus-something-challenge.html :o)
I used my own photograph of acorns for the backing, and cut the flower from a J&P Pictures DP on the Cricut. I had to turn the card round as Tilda is the wrong shape to make a landscape card. Used Copics for colouring and flowers/brads from stash.
Looks like I have mentioned everything here so won't do a recipe :o)

Peachy Keen challenge 13

This is my entry for the Peachy Keen challenge 13 over at http://peachykeenstampschallenge.blogspot.com/2009/10/challenge-13.html
The brief was to use blue, purple, a stamped image, 3 snowflakes and a greeting.
I just had to use this blue card I bought at Payper Box in the the Edinburgh Woollen Mill shop in Street, Somerset last week, they must have known this challenge was coming up :o)
The purple DP is from our Bulbs, Corms, Tubers and Rhizomes CD over at http://www.jandppictures.co.uk/
The tree stamp is on it's 3rd Christmas with me and the greeting is from a CraftUK Christmas set, and the snowflakes are punched with an Xcut punch.
Well it looks like I have already covered the recipe so I won't bore the pants off you all by listing them :o) OOOOOOOOOOOOOps, I nearly forgot, I coloured the image with my lovely Copics!
Oh my! I also forgot to mention that I have used my one and only nesties set which is Labels Four - slap my wrist!
