A couple more Heritage pages

It looks like several peeps would like to see more  from my heritage scrapbook so here are two more pages :o)

This one is my Dad and me. The top right photograph is the only surviving one with us both together. I have still to do the journalling which will be hidden behind the middle photograph.

This is my maternal grandmother and greatgrandmother.

Heritage

I started a heritage scrapbook quite a while ago and have sadly neglected it, I must try and get back to it!

These are the first and second pages I did. The first is my parents at Skegness the summer before they married, just a couple of months or so before WW2 broke out, and their wedding day in December in 1939 when the war was in it's infancy and everyone had realised that it wouldn't be over by Christmas after all!

This one is of my Dad, his parents and his grandmother.
I do so enjoy creating scrapbooks but it seems to have taken a backseat to cardmaking of late! I have about 6 or 7 albums on the go and wonder if any of them will ever get finished. I started doing my greatgrandson's first year when he was about 2 months old.....he starts school in September and I still haven't finished it :o)

Peachy Keen #33 - sketch

A bit later in the day than I normally post but here is my entry for PK#33

Unfortunately, the PK stamps I have are all too large for this sketch so I have used a digi image which I have had for a long time, I found it whilst looking for something else. I have had it so long I am sorry to say that I have forgotten where I got it, but maybe you can help me there :o)
Spotty base card is from stash, as is the ribbon.
Main image coloured with copics and matted onto more card from stash. Smaller images are coloured with marveys'
It is basically a very simple card :o)

What a brilliant day we had

What a fantastic day we all had at Viv's yesterday. Despite her very traumatic first half of the year (see her blog) she played perfect hostess and her hubby Alan made us a wonderful curry for dinner:o)

The day started as always with the obligatory bacon butties, then a trip into Poynton for some retail therapy. Then it was back to Viv's and lunch of sandwiches and scones and jam with lashings of clotted cream yummmmmyyyyyyyyyyy :o)
Methinks we may well have each put on half a stone!!!!!!!!!!!

Then came the crafting and I made these two cards, yes only two, and I had made the toppers at home on Saturday!
There were 8 of us crafting in two rooms, lots of to-ing and fro-ing and laughing and supping tea and coffee :o)
I left my house at 7.20am and arrived home at 10.45pm shattered but one very happy bunny :o)

Card for Michelle

This is my card for Michelle  which I will be posting this afternoon. If you want to send her a card her address can be found here

I have used the freebie digi donkey created by Karen especially for Michelle

The following is what I have copied from A Spoonful of Sugar's blog.

We would like to share some sad news today, some of you may already know from her blog, our design team member Michelle had an accident about two weeks ago, which has left her with the loss of her right eye and a long road of recovery ahead. In an effort to cheer her up and raise awareness for what happened to Michelle we are holding a card drive in her honor. We have many generous companies and individuals helping us with this special card drive and we hope you will help too!
We are asking that everyone please create a card in dedication to Michelle and mail it off to her. We would love nothing more than to flood her mailbox with well wishes from around the world. Michelle has shared so much of herself on her blog and in her design team work and this is a just a small way for us to give back to her.

Made as a thank you

Good morning Bloggers. I hope you are all enjoying this lovely cool spell as much as I am :o)

I had such a lovely time in Yorkshire recently so I made these cards to give to the 'landlady' at the B&B where I stayed. She allowed me to wander freely around the farm taking photographs.

They are just a few of the scenes I took around the farm but they will be personal to her.

I had to make them flat and simple for posting, didn't want them damaged before they get there!

I hope that she likes them

When I have saved up enough I shall certainly go back there :o)Jackie xx

Magical crafts #19 - Christmas in July

Good morning all on this wonderful rainy day, I am beginning to feel human again instead of like a limp wet rag :o)
This is my entry for the Magical Crafts #19 Christmas in July challenge. I have never entered this one before, I found the link on the lovely Doreen's blog and as I am making some of my Christmas cards at the moment I thought it would be a good idea to have a go :o)
Sorry folks, I'm waffling again, don't fall asleep on me yet :o)
Onto the card, which is supposed to be why I am here at the moment!
I've used MME Paper which I thought complimented the wonderful digi image which is from Karen's Doodles US  and I am also entering this card for their challenge which just happens to be Christmas in July. These are the first digi images I have bought and I can see why folks are so addicted, although I must remember to print them  a tad smaller next time :o)
Image coloured with copics and sakura stardust pens, with a smidgin of glamour dust for the snow. Nesties weren't big enough so I just cut out the circles to matt the body and head onto.
You can all wake up now :o)

Karen's Doodles UK - clean and simple and FFF week 27

I cannot believe what I have just done, twice! I have uploaded to the wrong blog and if anyone was looking then they will be convinced I am ready to be locked up for my own safety. Trouble is, they are probably right :o)

This is my third and last attempt, although if I fail you won't know because it won't be there hehehehehe!
This is my entry for the FFF challenge  It's a shame I don't have the time to enter more often!
it is also my entry for Karen's Doodles UK who want Clean and Simple.
The delightful image is Herbert from Karen's Doodles and if you haven't visited her blog it's well worth a good browse.
Base card is Bazzill and it's not quite as dark as it looks here.
Image coloured with Copics and Sakura Stardust pens.
Of course I had to use Martha Stewart PATP, where would we be without her.
Sentiment is from SU and if you look close enough you'll se a smidgin of Glamour Dust
I have my fingers crossed that I have done it right this time :o)

Good morning bloggers, I hope you aren't all melting in this heat PHEW!
This is my entry for Karen's Doodles (US)  Bling it Up .....

If you've not yet seen Karen's fantastic digi stamps then hotfoot it over there and have a look :o)

Santa's fur

For those who have asked, there is no big secret to Santa's fur on the previous post. After colouring him in -the fur was coloured with Sakura stardust pen - I turned him over and used a 6mm ball tool to emboss the furry bits (after he was dry of course) :o)

Peachy Keen 32 - Summer destinations challenge

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or nearly there :o)

This is my entry for the Peachy Keen challenge this week. As the title suggests, it had to be inspired by a summer destination so I chose Caister last year where I had a great crafting holiday with my friends. It also had to contain one of three Bs... buttons, brads or bling. I used a photograph I took of the beach there as the backing and blinged it up a bit with C&C silver spray and strings of pearls around the topper edge.
The stamp is from PK, coloured with copics with a tiny hand tied bow added. I used my new nesties for the topper and used a template I cut on the Cricut as a template for the card, and inked all around the edge :o)

Two workshop cards

These are the two cards I made yesterday at a workshop in Ashby de la Zouch. I really enjoyed making them so much that I bought the stamps to play with :o)

I don't often do cute stuff but I fell in love with these :o)

Workshop cards

Good morning bloggers. I had a great evening crafting with friends on Friday and our lovely hostess Pauline had set all up for us to make these two cards, she even provided the materials, bless her :o)

I had to leave earlier than the rest so I finished this second one at home using my new nesties :o)

On Saturday morning we all got together again in Ashby de la Zouch for a bit of retail therapy and cardmaking. I will post the cards made later, gotta go get something done around this place before I go back to work tomorrow boohoooooooooooooooooo!

A few more Yorkshire pics

Good morning all, I cannot believe that my week's holiday is almost over :o(

Here are a few more of my Yorkshire pics for you to peruse.

Methinks it's time to get down to some crafting now. I tried yesterday but my south facing craftroom was much too hot to work in!

From the top you see a scene by the river at Kettlewell, Skipton Castle entrance, the Spring arm of Skipton canal, climbers at Malham Cove, and 2 scenes around the farm I stayed at :o)

A few photographs taken in Yorkshire

A few birdy pics I took during my fantastic Yorkshire break.

This little robin was obviously used to peeps at the tearooms in Skipton Castle, he sat and posed beautifully :o)

I took this one through my bedroom window Tuesday morning :o)

This cheeky little chappie was just sitting there waiting to have it's pic taken at the farm where I stayed :o)

All of these duckling pics I took on my Marathon trek to Malham Cove. What a good reason to pause a while along the way :o)
I'll put a few more on tomorrow all being well.
