New nesties

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is as well as it can be with you. It looks like winter is back now but I don't mind, I am back at work on Monday :o( Never mind, it brings in the pennies to feed my retail therapy habit :o)
On to my card for today. It's the first colouring I have done for a while! Unfortunately I cannot remember whether I stamped this image at a friend's house, or is it a digi image? Perhaps you can help, pretty please, then I can give it the recognition it deserves :o)

Coloured with copics, cut out with my new nesties. The mat is Bazzill and the base card is Coredinations, cut and folded to 7x5. Foliage is from Marianne and the corne is from Memory Boxx. The beautiful brad was part of a Christmas present :o)

I've been playing

Good morning Bloggers, yet another fabulous weather day is forecast. I normally don't get good weather for my holidays, don't know what went wrong this time LOL. This is just right for me, not hot enough to mither me but lovely and warm.
On to my card for today. Not sure what to call this one, just a bit of fun really :o)

I created the elephant and the doily in SCAL then cut them out on the Cricut. Basecard is grey Coredinations cut and folded to 6x6. Grass is Martha Stewart punched and the foliage is Marianne die cut from some ridged grey card I found in my stash :o)

Two more of the 7 card commisssion

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well with you. I cannot believe the glorious weather we are having while I am off work, I usually get rubbish. I have to go food shopping this morning and my granddaughter Sian has decided she will come with me seeing as we (Morrison's staff) have an extra 5% doscount today. Being a student, she has to save wherever she can. Strangely enough, she has also invited herself to come to George's Tradition in Long Eaton for lunch with me today :o)
Here are 2 more of my 7 card commission. I can't show the other 3 yet as they may be seen by the recipients!

I have added a 'thinking of you' tag to this one since I took the pic.  Own photograph of abutilon, framed with a Cricut cut svg file from Penny Duncan. Another very simple card.

I can't claim credit for the photograph on my second card,  it is from my good friend Pat (we do exchange photographs from time to time) who created the topper in PSP.  I just printed it out and matted it onto the card :o)

Commissioned 'thinking of you' cards

Good morning Bloggers, I hope you are all well or getting there on this beautiful sunny morning :o)
I am on holiday from work this week so I will be doing what I like, when I like, how I like and if I like, and if I don't like then I won't do it LOL. Having said that, my first duty of the week is to take granddaughter Sian to the dentist to get a lost filling replaced while she is home from Uni, then we are off into Long Eaton for a browse.
Anyhow, on to my cards for today. The commission is for 7 cards but that would be too many to put on in one go, you would all be nodding off LOL.

I have matched the insides but forgot to take pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Own photographs, the sailing one was taken at Carsington Reservoir and given a soft frame in PSP.  Own rose photograph tubed by my very good friend Pat and then the bouquet was created by me. The bow is from Pat too.

I started my week's holiday yesterday with some retail therapy at Byrkley Park. I forgot to put my new white plate for the GC in the pic. It's for embossing folders and works a treat with the tan mat. I spent enough to fill my loyalty card up so used it to get £10 worth of Coredinations 12x12 sheets :o)

GC card for the box.....

.....and I sold it almost immediately :o)
Good morning Bloggers, I hope you are all well and happy, and if not then I hope you soon will be.....hugs
This is another one of those 'just becaue I wanted to' cards and I really enjoyed making it. We have just received our bonus from work, and I am breaking up tonight for a week, so I will be off to Byrkley Park to buy some more Grand Nesties, then I can make more shaped cards. Anyhow, on to my card for today :o)

It is A5 size, cut on the GC.
Basecard is Bazzill, backing paper is from stash, sorry no name on it. Same with the paper used for the flutterby and flowers!
Dies and punches used are Grand Nesties, Cheery Lyn, Marianne, Woodware and Xcut. It really is a very simple card :o)

Two 'just because I wanted to' cards

Good morning bloggers, I hope all is well with you on this very grey start to the day!
Some time ago I made a card with a tulip on and I liked it so much I decided to make these two and I have to say that I am quite happy with them. Now there's conceit for you LOL.

They are very simple cards and are well within my comfort zone. I do love CAS cards.
I cut and folded linen card to 5x7 for the base cards.
Own photographs of nigella (love in a mist) and muscari (grape hyacinth) cut with Nesties, mats are pealised paper.
The leaf vine is from Memory Box.
Sentiment on top card is computer generated and punched with SU.
Other sentiment is SU stamped

A bit of an experiment

Good morning Bloggers, at last a sunny morning with wall to wall blue sky here in deepest Derbyshire! I hope all is well with you.
A friend made a car using a baby bib card blank, so I thought"I could do that myself" Hence the title :o)

I cut the basecards on the GC using a Go Kreate die, then cut out the neck bit with a small round Nestie. Not sure if I prefer it with or without the ribbon!
All the embellies were cut on the Cricut from Bazzill Bling,  using Balloon font and SCAL shapes :o)

An open card and a welcome

Good morning Bloggers. I hope you are warmer where you are than I am here, it looks very dull outside!
Today I welcome Myrna, a new follower. Hi there Myrna, thank you for visiting and joining my followers :o)
On to my card for today which is an 8x8 that I made just for the pleasure of making it.

For once, I didn't cut and fold my own basecard. It is from a pack I bought yonks ago because I didn't fancy buying and cutting into A3!
The backing paper is from an 8x8 Kay&Co pad that I bought way back in my early crafting days. I thought it was time I started using it at last. The pearl paper that I cut the flowers/foliage from is also from the dim and distant past!
Dies used are Grand Nesties and Cheery Lyn. Punches used are McGill and Woodware, Gems were from my stash :o)

A birthday card and a welcome

Good morning Bloggers.  First a welcome to Elaine, my latest follower :o)
Well the morning couldn't be more different from yesterday if it tried. Yesterday was blue skies and sunshine all the way and I was out walking round St Chad's Water in my cardi. This morning it is dull and grey, windy and quite cool!
Anyway, on to my card for today. It is a card for my favourite waitress at George's where I go for my lunch every Thursday.

The basecard is Bazzill, folded and cut on the Grand Calibur  to 6x6. Paper is from stash and I have had it so long I can't remember wher it was from. The sentiment and 50 were cut from Bazzill on the Cricut. Leaves were punched with Leone Em and flowers with Woodware punches, and tiny pearls from stash for the flower centres. Ooops! I nearly forgot to say that the flowers were punched from a scrap of paper which I used on another card!  :o)

Variations on a theme

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well with everyone.
I am so disappointed that we have had cloud cover for the last two nights so no chance of seeing Aurora Borealis :o(  Did any of you see it?
I cannot claim credit for the design of these cards, I saw something similar on the Docrafts gallery, I think it was HollyAnne! These are my take on Annie's cards.

All basecards are white linen cut and folded to 5x7
I used each of the only three Marianne cut and emboss folders that I posess, matted onto  mirricard (a blue, a red and a purple) and each card has a Marianne and a Memory Box diecut from glittercard and popped with sticky foam pads. It's not often that I love my own cards but I am delighted with these :o)

Another from my GC

Good morning everyone on this lovely sunny but cool start to the day :o)
My card today is the second cut with my lovely Grand Calibur. I have cut some more but haven't made them up yet! I am just so pleased with the GC that I wish I had bought it many moons ago.

Base card is white linen, backing paper is from an old (about 6 years) Kay&Co pad,  Sizzix flower is vellum, cut last year some time but never used, same with the flutterbies from Martha Stewart punch, and the flower centre is the waste from a card made aeons ago which I 'cuttlebugged'.
So, it is a card made up from stuff that had been forgotten and now is found :o)

New toy and first card with it

Good afternoon everyone on this gloriously blue, sunshiny day.
I have my new toy and I have made one card using it so far.

Well, I had to buy myself a Mother's Day pressie didn't I, especially as I had already bought some Grand Nestabilities LOL
I cut the card from an 8x8 Papermania kraftcard, and the backing, with the GC, the foliage was cut with Marianne and Cheery Lyn dies and the sentiment was stamped and punched with SU :o)

A wonderful birthday + a new baby card

Good morning bloggers on this gorgeous start to the day. Wall to wall blue here although a tad nippy. I cannot believe it is nearly a week since I last posted, hopefully I will be able to catch up on your blogs over the next day or two.
I have had a wonderful birthday long weekend, what a shame they have to come to an end! I spent Thursday with my cousin and we went out and had a lovely lunch.  On Friday I went out and bought myself a birthday present. My old compact camera has given me brilliant service for 5 years, but I have now retired it because I wanted something smaller and more up to date. So, I replaced my Nikon Coolpix 1 (6.5 megapixels) with a Nikon Coolpix S3100(14 megapixels) which is bright redLOL. My main camera is still my beloved Nikon D40 DSLR but it isn't always convenient to carry such a big camera around.

Here they are, the old and the new, for size comparison. I can get the new one in my handbag. I have taken over 20,000 photographs (I promise you I am not exaggerating)  with the old and I hope to take at least that many with the new :o)
Onto my card, made yesterday at our wonderful craft get together. I did make others but haven't taken their pics yet.

This is for our hostess's son and DiL on the birth of their gorgeous new granddaughter on Saturday. I used my new Marianne die which my wonderful friends gave me. I couldn't make up my mind in the shop whether to buy it or not, and when we got back to the house they had bought it for me. Aren't friends just the greatest people?
Talking about craftshops, I bought myself two sets of Grand Nesties with my birthday money so now I have to go out and buy a Grand Calibur LOL.
Sorry, I should have warned you it was going to be a long post :o)
