Hi everyone, and thank you so much for your kind words regarding my son Stephen.
At 0nly 51 years old he has had a stroke. At this moment we don't know how badly it has affected him because he is still more asleep than awake. He is partially paralysed on his right side and seems to have lost his speech but until he comes round completely they don't really know whether that is just a temporary thing. They will be doing a second scan later today to see if it has moved or stabilised.
Once again, thank you for your concern, I appreciate it very much.
Jackie xx

Hello Jackie, I've only just caught up with your blog and so just read the news about your son. Such a shock for him and for you. I hope he will soon recover enough that you will be able to take him home. On a positive note, my daughter has had two strokes in the last few years and has made a good recovery with just some residual weakness down her right side. She was in her late 30s when she had the first and is now 42 so very young to be having strokes. She will be on medication for life, but better that than her having a third. I wish your son wakes up soon and begins to get better. My thoughts are with you both. Hugs, Elizabeth xx

Oh hunny, what a terrible thing to happen, especially so young. It is amazing what the hospitals can do with rehabilitation and physio these days so I will be keeping Stephen and the family in my prayers.
Big hugs for you sweetie. Sxx
