A couple more of my old photographs

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs.

Whatever happened to March coming in like a lion and going out like a lamb? With the gales blowing at the moment it is hardly lamb like!!!!!

I have been looking through some of my old photographs and came across these two which I took at Attenborough Nature Reseve in 2009. I used to love doing tryptiches so I decided to have a go, and these two are the finished items. I quite like this format so I may make a few more of them.

I didn't want to detract from the photographs with embellishments!
Base cards are my usual white linencard, folded and cut to 7x5.
I printed the photographs onto the same white card, then cut them into 3 and mounted onto black Papermania textured card, then layered them onto the card bases with sticky foam back pads to lift them.
Clear stickybacked gems coloured with Copic pen.
Haven't decided yet whether they are to go inmy my box or my hospital box :o)

I hope you have enjoyed walking round the ponds with me :o)

We're going to the zoo

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs

I spent a lovely afternoon at Straw's Bridge, Ilkeston, with a Docrafts friend on Wednesday and it was glorious sunshine although biting cold! We both had our cameras with us so of course we took lots of pics. I will show you some later.

For today though, I have 2 cards to show you, both taken at Twycross Zoo, the baby elephant in 2009 and the snow leopard in 2010.

I did not want to detract from the images with embellishment.
All card used is white linencard from The Range.
Both photographs feathered in PSP7, printed in Word, then cut with Spellbinders pierced dies.
No sentiments yet until I know where I am sending them and even then maybe not :o)

For my box

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs.
It is very grey and wet here this morning after a wonderful sunny (but very cold) day yesterday!

On to my card for today.

I took this photograph, along with over 100 others, at Shipley Park, Derbyshire, way back in  July 2007.
I sat there for an hour or so completely enthralled with the grace and beauty of these young ladies despite the fact they were dancing barefoot with very muddy feet due to the heavy rains we had been having at the time!
They are Nusantra and if you ever get the chance to see them, you won't be disappointed.
Base card is my usual white linencard, folded and cut to 7x5.
I feathered the photograph in PSP7, and printed it onto the same white linencard, then cut with Spellbinders pierced oval die.
Wavy borders are the waste from my previous card (see below).
Foliage cut with Memory Box from a scrap of card.
White sticky flat backed pearls coloured with Copic pen :o)

Sue Wilson daisy again

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

Wall to wall sunshine here this morning after a grey day yesterday, hope it stays that way!

So far, my week off work has been very leisurely but I have to move my butt today and get something done here.  My plan is so clear some kitchen cupboards out and go to the tip to get rid of some stuff that hasn't been used for years!!! I've also got some electrical items to take.
Hopefully then, I will make it into the craftroom LOL.

Anyhow, onto my card for today so here it is.

It's a very simple card, but I am pleased with it.
White card is my usual linencard from The Range.
I created the wavy banner with a Spellbinders pierced die and it's the first time i have
used it.
Sue Wilson flower dies cut from blue and yellow (looks green here) Papermania
textured card.
Memory Box grapevine cut from scrap.
Sentiment stamped with Woodware.
I hope you like it as much as I do :o)

The last of my Easter cards...I think!

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...Hugs.

Did you see the eclipse yesterday? I tried with pinhole in black card projected onto and white card, but it was hurting my back too much to stand in the one spot so I gave up and was content to see it on the news later. Where I live, it was only a partial eclipse anyway! As the next full solar eclipse is due in somthing like 2080 or 90 I think it is safe to say I won't be around to see it LOL.

Anyhow, on to my cards for today, two of them. Same photograph, taken two years ago at Calke Abbey, on both of them.

As you can see, they are both practically the same, just different frames and crosses.
All white card used is my usuall white linencard from The Range.
Green card is Papermania textured card.
All dies used are Spellbinders except for the stitched circle, which is Die-namics.
Both cards are folded and cut to fit 6x6 envelopes.
I used my favourite Dauphin font for the sentiments :o)

Good morning one and all, I do hope that you are well or getting there...hugs

Two more sleeps then I break up for a week. I've only been back at work for two weeks after my last week off, but I have to use my holidays up before the end of the month, not that I am complaining LOL.

My card for today is a bit of allsorts, and here it is.

Made for my box, so no sentiment until I know who I am sending it to.
All card used is my usual white linencard from The Range.
Base card is A4 folded and cut to 7x5, I use the excess for sentiments etc.
Oval and wavy borders cut with Spellbinder dies.
Sizzix Bigz vellum daisy and Memory Box foliage are both from my bits boxes.

2 car cards commission

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well with you and yours...hugs.

Happy St. Patricks Day to all our Irish friends :o)

My non-crafting friend Jean asked me to make her "a couple of posh car cards please" so I had to go searching through my photographs and found these 2. The red Lotus photograph was taken by my very good friend PatEssex (Docrafts) and the vintage car is a photograph from my very old CorelDraw software.

Jean loves CAS cards and I am happy to say that she was delighted with these.
I opened both photographs in PSP7 and feathered them, then printed onto the same white linencard as I used for the basecards.
Both were cut with Spellbinders dies, and backed with scraps from my stash.
I used Dauphin font for ther sentiments.
White flat sticky pearls coloured with Copics :o)

It's quite a grey morning here, and the forecast is for heavy rain but it hasn't got here just yet!

I have 2 sympathy and 2 Easter cards for you this morning, both pairs using the same 2 crocus photographs which I took many moons ago.

On one of the cards I have outlined the crocusses with Wink of Stella pen, and I don't like it at all, but I am showing you anyway so that you can make up your own minds :o)

All white card used is linencard from The Range.
All coloured card is from stash.
Crosses cut with Spellbinders.
Computer generated sentiments using Dauphin font, one of my favourites.

Not my usual kind of image!

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs.

Isn't it wonderful to have the daylight hours lengthening, only about 3 more weeks to putting the clocks forward here in GB, and only 11 days to the first day of Spring :o)

My cards for today are quite different from my norm, I very rarely use "sweet or cute" images unless they are my own photographs of real animals etc. So please bear with me on these two cute LOTV stamped images, as I am not up to much on colouring them, especially the hair :o)

The first one is my usual white linencard, folded and cut to 6x6.
The second basecard is Papermania 8x8 scalloped card.
Both images coloured with Copics then cut with Die-namics round stitched dies.
First mat cut with Spellbinders die using Papermania textured card.
Second mat cut with Grand Nestie usuing DCWV card.
Pearls on both also coloured to match with Copic pen.
White pearlised card embossed with Embossalicious A4 folder.
Corners cut for me by a friend.
Sentiment stamped with Woodware :o)

Warning, picture heavy. Spring is definitely on the way.....

.....and I have a few photographs to prove it WHOOPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

Thank you all for your kind words about my little indisposition. I am fine now thank you, it only lasted about 12 hours (thankfully). Methinks it must have been something I ate, possibly the Cajun chicken!

Yesterday afternoon I hobbled round St Chad's Water at Church Wilne, near Draycott, which is the next village along from mine. It took me over an hour to get round the lake when, at one time, I was able do it in 15 to 20 minutes, and I was totally pooped after, but it was well worth the pain :o)
These are just a few of the 50+ photographs that I took.

There was so much new life out there, it was wonderful to see.

I did warn you it was picture heavy LOL. I hope you haven't nodded off :o)

Agapanthus x 2

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs.

I was fine until teatime yesterday then something hit me unmercifully. Felt very nauseous and awful stomach cramps. Daren't eat or drink, apart from a few sips of water. Couldn't take my painkillers cuz I have to take them with or after food, so I was really suffering. Finally dared to go to bed at 3am and although I am in pain, the awful cramps and queasy feeling have gone!!! What was that all about then??? Oh well, never mind, worse things happen at sea, so they say!

On to my cards for today.

Sorry to say that I don't know who's make the stamp is cuz it belongs to a friend!
Both basecards are my usual white linencard folded and cut to 6x6 and 7x5.
Images cut with Marianne and Spellbinders dies, then the onk one matted onto a scrap of Papermania textured card from my box.
Get well soon stamped with SU.
Flat white sticky pearls coloured with Copic pen.
Nothing else I can say about them really :o)

Tiger, tiger burning bright...8x8 card

Good morning everyone, although it's pouring with rain here! I hope all is well in your world...hugs

I had a wonderful day with my friends on Sunday, and for the first time since Stephen's stroke, I was able to join them earlier so I got to go for retail therapy with them. I was in heaven :o)

For those of you who remember my son having a stroke 18 months ago, I can tell you that although his right arm is still paralysed and he still can't speak very much, he is able to look after himself fairly well now, so I don't have to keep running around for him, and boy am I so thankful as it was wearing me out!

On to my card for today, which I made for a friend's hubby and his great love is tigers :o)

Unfortunately, although I do have tiger photographs of my own, none of them are full face on, so I Googled this one.
I opened it in PSP7 to feather the image, and printed it, along with the sentiment, onto white linencard, then cut both with my new Spellbinders square pierced dies and matted them onto black card from my scrap box.
I then opened my feathered image in PSP11 to create the paper for the background and inside.
Base card is white papermania 8x8.
I really love this card and don't want to give it away...sob  :o)
