Christmas cards + goodies

Good morning Bloggers, I hope you are all as well as you can be...hugs
Well that's it, the sun has hidden it's face once again and the rain has come out to play instead!
My cards for today are some that I made at our get together on Sunday and of course I had to show you my lovely new goodies :o)

That little snowman is actually a candle that I bought in Holland many years ago. I took a photograph  of it and my friend Pat turned it into a topper.

All images are from my own photographs and I had printed them out at home of course. The red backing is from one of the goodies I bought on the day. The blue backing is from J&P (myself and PatEssex of DC) Holly cut with a Memory Box die. Basically very simple cards.

And here is what I bought, lots to play with there :o)

Rose corner + a wonderful day with very good friends.

Good morning Bloggers, and a happy BH Monday to you all whether you are off work or not. Alas, being in retail I have to work but the good news is that I get to have a day in lieu when I want it LOL.
Yesterday was my only day off for the holiday weekend but what a cracking day it was. I left here about 8.20am to go and join friends for a wonderful crafting day. There were 7 of us from near and far and what a day we had. Started of with bacon paninis and a cuppa, followed by a visit to Byrkley Park for retail therapy where I spent up so I am a broke but very happy bunny.  Got home about 7.45pm happily tired.
Back to our lovely hostess's house for a wonderful lunch buffet style and the obligatory cuppa, then it was playtime for the whole afternoon. I completed 3 cards and started two others to be finished her at home.
Finished off the day with a wonderful dinner of home made quiche and just about every salad item imaginable. We had already eaten pudding at lunch time LOL. I have yet to take pics of my new goodies and  my cards so will have to show you them later.
Anyhow, on to my card for today before you all nod off :o)

Base card is white linen folded and cut to 6x6.
The beautiful rose corner is a digi image from Delicious Doodles, coloured with Copics and Sakura gelly roll pens although you can't see the sparkle on the pic. I have had this image for some time so I don't know if it is still available. Cut with Nesties and layered onto pink card. Ribbon from stash and sentiment is a PB stamp.

Another flutterby

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well as it can be in your world...hugs
What a gorgeous sunny morning it is too, everywhere looks so lovely when it's bathed in sunlight.
I am so chuffed with myself. I've always wanted to create a banner for my blog and I finally managed it, yippeeeeeeeeeeeeee LOL.
On to my card for today. I so enjoyed creating the flutterby on the last one that I decided I wanted to do a bigger one and here it is.

Base card is plain white folded and cut to 6x6.
New 6x6 Embossalicious folder, lightly chalked.
Flutterby is another Penny Duncan svg. I cut 5 sizes from MME card, the largest being 3.25" from top to tailtip, the smallest is 1.25". Gems from stash and the sentiment is from a Papermania stamp set. I hope you like it :o)

Lupin

Good morning Bloggers. Firstly, I want to send positive thoughts to our friends across the pond who have suffered so much devastation and loss. Please know that I am thinking of you all and sending hugs.

My card for today is a beautiful lupin digi from Delicious Doodles and it's a long time since I used it! I really enjoyed colouring it. I have had this image for a couple of years or more so I thought it was time to bring it out again.

Base card is white linen folded and cut to 7x5.
Lupin coloured with copics and lightly chalked round the edges, then layered onto green Bazzill, both cut with Nesties. I added clear gems from stash, coloured to match with copic marker :o)

Butterfly flutterby

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs
For once the sun is shining, we have wall to wall blue skies, the wind has finally dropped, and it feels quite warm :o)
For my card today I took inspiration from several I saw on DC.

I folded and cut white linen card to 5x7.
I used a Marianne cut and emboss folder for the main panel and layered it onto MME striped card from the same pad as the card I used for the flutterby (so sorry the front has gone and I can't remember which pad).
Most of the ones I saw on DC had used dies to cut the flutterbies and I haven't got those so I set to and cut them on the Cricut using a Penny  Duncan svg and I am quite pleased with the result :o)
The stamped sentiment comes from Lindsay Mason and alas it will be the only time I use it because when I pulled it off the block it came away in bits BooHoo!

One of my little aperture cards

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs
This is the last day of my holiday week, I have to go back to work tomorrow and Saturday. Not complaining though, I've had a brilliant week starting last Thursday with my little car passing it's MOT, trip to Lea Gardens Saturday, spending a crafting day with friends on Monday, and yesterday spending the day with another crafting friend and her hubby.
Today I finish the week spending the day with my cousin and having a pub lunch. What could be better LOL.
Anyhow, this is the first of my mini aperture cards, nothing very exciting but I am reasonably happy with it :o)

The image is a digi from raising Our Kids, coloured with copics and cut it with Nesties. Sentiment and presents stamps unknown :o)

I'm a bit late today

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you are warmer where you are, it is so cold and miserable here Brrrrrrrrr. I don't like to be over warm but this is not good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I spent all day yesterday in Macclesfield having a crafting day with friends, with a little bit of retail therapy thrown in. What could be better. We had a wonderful day and for an hour or so in the afternoon there we were, 3 of us flaked out nodding. I'm not saying which one was snoring, but it wasn't me LOL. I even managed to make 3 cards although 2 of the toppers I had made at home previously.
Thank you Viv for having us and thank you Brenda for driving :o)

This is one of the cards I made. I folded and cut white linen card to 6x6. Panel and flower were cut with nesties, flutterby is a Marianne die cut and the leaves are Memory Box. The only embellishment is a clear gem from Viv's stash

My apologies for the pics being so dark, the lighting is so bad! I may be good at taking pics outside but inside in bad weather is another matter altogether LOL.
While we were in Macclesfield yesterday the heavens opened and threw huge hailstones at us, in less than 5 minutes the street outside was totally white over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A few pics from Lea Gardens

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs
Short post today, I am off out to spend the day with friends.
This is just a few of the many (151) photographs I took at Lea Gardens on Saturday.
It's very picture heavy so settle down with a cuppa and a biscuit :o)

I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed being there, what a wonderful place it it.
See you later.

Just playing

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well in your world...hugs
First things first. Thank you for all the good wishes for my little car, and I am here to tell you that the news is all good. It passed the MOT with flying colours, not bad for a 13 year old, and the cam belt has been replaced so I am now mobile again and I can make the most of my few days off Yippeeeeeeeeee :o)
Today I am off to Lea Gardens near Matlock whilst all the rhododendrons are in bloom and of course my cameras are going with me.
No cards as such today but I've been playing with my Cricut and come up with a few aperture cards to use later so without more ado here they are :o)

All I have to do now is figure out what to do with them LOL.

Been colouring again

Good morning Bloggers, I hope all is well with you and yours...hugs
I broke up from work last night for a week Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. What I do with my week off depends on my car. It's booked in for MOT and cam belt renewal this morning so please keep everything crossed for me!
I'm on a roll now with the colouring so here's another one.

For this I've used a Delicious Doodles crocus digi which I love. Coloured with copics and although you can't see it on here, I have edged the petals with Sakura Gelly Roll pen then cut out with Nestie. Chalked the edge then attached straight onto the card which is white linen folded and cut to 7x5. I coloured the pearls with copic pen and the sentiment is stamped with, I think, Stamps and Smiles :o)

Back from the colouring wilderness

Good morning Bloggers, and another gorgeous one it is too. I hope you all had a wonderful Bank Holiday while I was working. How come so many folks do their big weekly food shop on a glorious BH instead of getting out and enjoying the weather for the brief time it's here. Oh well, never mind eh, they must have their reasons and I'm not complaining as it keeps me in a job!
What do I mean by the title? Well, for about 9 months I have not done any colouring, I took an aversion to it for some unknown reason, but I seem to have recovered my enthusiasm at last and this is my first colouring in many months. I was afraid that my copics might have dried up but no, they are still okay, thank goodness :o)

Base card is white linen cut to 8x8. Panel embossed with Embossalicious, this being the third of my three for the price of two folders. Unfortunately you are seeing the debossed side as I used the wrong side, but it still works LOL.
The peony is a digi image and I am sorry to say I cannot remember where I got it. Had it from the days before I sorted them into named files! Coloured with said copics then handcut and attached with foam pads. Sentiment is Penny Black I think.
The panel was then layered onto red Bazzill. I am happy to say that I really enjoyed colouring again and there will be more :o)

Edwin Christmas

Good morning Bloggers, I hope you have the sunshine we have here at the moment. Yesterday started off really grey, wet and miserable but the sun came out in the afternoon while I was at work!
For my card today I used a card blank from a pack I won a few weeks ago from the lovely Brenda Thank you so much Brenda :o)

This is another one of those images that I coloured in about 3 years ago and found recently lurking in a box when I was looking for something else LOL.
Edwin was coloured with copics, then cut with Nesties. Mat is mirri card, stamp is Woodware I think :o)

Another agapanthus card

Good afternoon everyone, it's a bit late in the day for me but heyho, better late than never, so they say!
I went for physio this morning.  She put me through my paces and was delighted with my progress so she discharged me Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeee :o)
Onto my card for today.

Base card is white linen card  folded and cut to 6x6, or more correctly, to fit into a 6x6 envelope.
I stamped the background with Hero Arts wood block stamp set and Big and Juicy inkpad.
Agapanthus cluster stamped with Memento ink as is the SU sentiment.  Ribbon from stash.
I hope you like it :o)
