Good news at last + a commissioned card

Good morning everyone. I hope all is well with you and if not then here's a few {{{{{hugs}}}}}
The good news is that daughter Susan has finally had her gall bladder removed and is home, so I am not having to traipse from one end of the hospital to the other to see both of them (very painful on my legs) :o)
Stephen continues to improve a little each day. His level of understanding seems to be virtually back to normal as far as we can tell, although with this comes the realisation of what has happened to him so he is sometimes very frustrated, especially when he can't get words out or move his right arm or leg! It is still early days so "onwards and upwards" as they say!
In the meantime, here is my card for today, commissioned by my cousin to send to her grandson.

Sorry it's showing up dark here, it isn't that dark IRL.
Photograph supplied by my cousin. The making of it is fairly obvious so no details :o)
I will be at my Uncle Doug's funeral today. He is being buried with Aunty Margery so I hope the promised rain holds off!
Jackie xx

Hi Jackie, your family do seem to be going through the wars at this time, poor you and them. It does sound as though Stephen is recovering, slowly but surely, and that is good news about your daughter too ... she won't miss that gall bladder, I speak from experience!

I hope the hope the funeral goes well ... it's a sad occasion whatever but you don't need rain too.

Hugs, Elizabeth xx

Oh my Jackie, you have sure been having a hard time since my last visit! So, so sorry to hear of your son's stroke, but so glad to hear of his recovery! And then your daughter, oh my, when it rains it pours. My daughter had her gall bladder removed last year. It went very well, but she had a long recovery time. I am still in OR with her for this awful last round of more surgery. She has ad so many complications and still remains is so much pain. It seems to never end. I send big hugs, and prayers for all of you. Much affection, Joanne.

Me again too! Jackie I pray that your son will recover. I know these things take time and sometimes is hard to be patient. But those little improvements made every day add up to big improvements. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Lord knows, we can all use them! Luv & Hugs, Joanne
