Commissioned card out of my comfort zone

Good morning everyone, I hope all is as well in your world as it is in mine!
As I said in the title, this is right out of my comfort zone but I am reasonably pleased with it. My friend asked me to make it for her great granddaughter and it had to have a big 2 and monkeys on it :o)
Here it is inside and out

The 2 was cut on the Cricut using SCAL and the monkeys, also cut on the Cricut, are from the Zoobaloo cartridge The paper is from a Forever friends CD. As you can see, I used the negative from the 2 inside. Oh, I forgot to say that the base card is pink Hammered from PMS, cut and folded to A5  :o)

Commissioned, not my photograph

Good morning Bloggers, are you all ready for the Paralympic starting tomorrow night? I know I am!
My cards this morning are just mini ones at 4x4 and the customer gave me 2 of her own photographs of her little pooch to make them with. She showed them to one of her neighbours and now that lady wants to send me her doggy pic to make some with too, and a friend wants me to make some with my own flower pics on. Could this be the start of something big LOL. All in all, about about 25 cards involved so I had better get me some more of that lovely Papermania textured card pronto :o)

I feathered the photographs in PSP as usual, then opened in Word, added the caption and printed them out on the said Papermania textured card then cut and folded to 4x4. Couldn't be much more simple :o)

Combination of own photographs with Marianne cut and emboss folders

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world.
I have been out of the house for most of every day for the last 13 days straight including work and pleasure, so it's time to stay home and get some playtime in, I have a couple of card orders to do so that's my day mapped out for me!
My cards today were a bit of an experiment in mixing my photographs with cut and emboss folder and I must say that I am quite pleased with the results, I hope you like them too :o)

 Sailing dinghy at Carsington Water

Rose in the rain at Belper River Gardens

Small copper flutterby at ? Old pic, can't remember where I took it!

Agapanthus in bud at Swarkestone garden centre.

I used linen card cut and folded to 5x7 for each of the cards. My photographs are printed straight on to Papermania textured card and cut out with nesties. All cut and emboss panels are pearl card layered onto Bazzill. :o)

First from new goodies

Oh what a bad bad Blogger I am, I really do not know where the time goes. I have been out all day every day this week!
Anyhow, on to my cards for today because I am off out again :o)

For the first one I used an embossing folder that has not seen the light of day since I bought it, and for the life of me I cannot remember where it's from! Marianne tree and Memory Box holly dies were used to complete it.
For this one I used my brand new Memory Box bauble dies, one cut in red and one cut in gold, and the sentiment is stamped and cut with SU punch. All layered onto lattice embossing.
For both base cards I cut and folded white linen card to 5x7.
A usual, both were very simple to make.
Right, I will now attempt to get caught up with blog commenting, it may take me a day or two :o)

OMG two posts in one day

What a wonderful day at Donington Park, everything went smoothly and we were even able to come out and go back in. I promised I was going to spend, spend, spend and I did LOL. Here are the goodies I bought, it will probably take me weeks to use them all :o)

Grand nesties were only £30 and the normal size only £15.

Christmas red and green quality card, 240 gsm, 250 sheets for £5, 5x7 envelopes at £5 for 3 packs, pearlised card £1 for a ten pack (I bought 10 packs) and linen/canvas card £1 for a pack of 10, I bought the last 3 packs)
It really was a fantastic day, they must have learned by yesterday's mistakes. Believe it or not, I even brought £15 home with me :o)

Set of 6 from some of my flower photographs + spend spend spend...

Good morning Bloggers, I am off to Donington Park to spend, spend, spend today, at least that's the theory!
Unfortunately I have heard that it was utter chaos yesterday, so I am hoping they've got their act together today. I am taking a packed lunch with me cuz I also heard that there were looooooooong queues for food! Wish me luck LOL.
On to my cards, made just becuz I wanted to. They will go into my box for selling or later use.

 Achillea
 Agapanthus
 Allium
 Anemone
 Callistemon
Clematis

All the photographs were taken at Swarkestone Garden Centre last month. Basecard is Papermania Capsule Collection textured card. Photographs feathered in PSP, opened in Word, captions added using Dauphin font, then printed straight onto the cards which were then cut and folded to A6. I hope you like them :o)

Olympics finish, time to play catchup

Good morning Bloggers, I cannot believe it's a whole week since I was on here. I'm afraid the Olympics got in the way of blogging, I have been glued to it except when I had to drag myself away to go to work!
Wasn't it a magnificent spectacle and our Team GB did us so proud.
I have a couple of cards to show you today, luckily made before the Olympics started LOL.

This one is an 8x8 Papermania Kraftcard base, with SU stamped border and sentiment, and diecuts with Memory Box and Grand Nesties all cut from PDA corrugated card.

White linen card cut and folded to 5x7, Penny Black sentiment and more Memory Box dies used for this one, which is similar to,  but not the same as an earlier one I made :o)

A magnificent golden day + framed lily

Good morning everyone, what a wonderful medals day yesterday. I doesn't come much better than that does it :o) I went off to work at 2pm upset because I thought Jessica Ennis would be running just as I was setting off home and she waited for me! I was just in time to watch her magnificent performance, followed closely by the spectacular long jump and 10,000 metre gold medal performances, and I had seen the rowing golds and silver in the morning so my day was complete. A shame I had to miss the cycling gold but work gets in the way sometimes!
Anyhow, on to my card for today.

It doesn't get very much more simple than this one. I printed my feathered photograph and the sentiment onto pink Bazzill then cut and folded it to 5x7. Then I cut the frame with Nesties, attached the brads then lifted it on foam pads and that is all there is to it :o)

Dancing in the moonlight

Oh wow, what a wonderful golden day yesterday. I saw the girls row to victory, and what a race it was, they demolished the rest. I had to go to work before Bradley  got his gold but managed to catch up late last night. Lets not forget the silver and bronze medals too. It's a good job I have a few cards in hand because I am glued to the Olympics at the moment :o)
Anyhow, I digress. My card for today is just something I was playing with and this is the result. Not sure it's quite what I was thinking of but HeyHo my cards rarely are!

I cut and folded white hammered card to 6x6.
The background was created using cotton wool balls and TH distress inks, then I used a white punched circle dabbed with orange, for the moon, and various stamps with black Memento inkpad  to create the scene. The larger mushrooms and the couple were cut on the Cricut using Penny Duncan SVG files.
Right, time to watch the Olympics now :o)
