It's that hat again

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

It's blue skies and fluffy white clouds here at the moment, how long for? Anybody's guess!

After our Friday night workshop involving this image, I decided I needed the stamp so I bought it and his friend Rudloph LOL and here he is in blue, I will show Rudolph another day!

I "found" a box of ready folded pearlised cards lurking amongst my stash from before I started working at Morrison's nearly 9 years ago so that is how old they are LOL.
I stamped my Woodware snowman onto white smooth 160gsm card from Staples and coloured him with Copics, then handcut him before attaching him with sticky foam pads to the DL card.
I added Glamour Dust to give a bit of sparkle.
Woodware greeting stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with Stampendous Detail White powder.
Faux stitching done with a white pen (no name on it).
I tried to make his hat look like it was brushed fabric :o)

Friday night workshop card

Good morning Thursday, and a lovely sunny one it is so far, and for once it feels deliciously cool.
I hope all is well in your world, wherever that may be...hugs.

My card for today is one we did at friend Pauline's, and this is one of the two that we each made.

I have never made one od this style before so it was interesting to make. That is the beauty of our little workshops. There are three of us and we take it in turns to design the cards for the evening dependent on who is hosting, cuz we take that in turn too LOL.
Other that saying it is a 6x6 card there is not much I can tell you because Pauline had cut all the bits out for us!I do love the graduated colour of the vellum that she used for the dragonflies, and the lovely holographic paper :o)

CAS Christmas

Good mornig everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs

Thank goodness it wasn't so hot yesterday, I felt a bit more alive!

I had a few trees left over from a recent Friday night workshop with my friends, so I decided to use them up. This set is the result, I am quite pleased with it :o)

Couldn't be much more simple LOL.
All cardbases are white linencard folded and cut to 7x5.
Trees and frames cut with Provocraft dies from scraps of green glittercard.
Sentiment staped with Stampendous.
That's threre more for my Christmas box making a total of 23 made this year plus a few left over from last year so I am nearly halfway there :o)

Where's the mistake?

Good morning everyone, I have been asked several time where the mistake is on my card below. Look at the word married on the front LOL.

92nd birthday

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

I am very late this morning, but better late than never LOL.

I made this card for my friend to give to one of her friends, a 92 year old lady who loves football (her son is a well know footballer/manager of yesteryear) and dancing. Even at 92 she still dances around her kitchen to the music on the radio!

I only had 24 hours notice to make it and deliver, so imagine how mortified I was to see a glaring error on the photograph I took, and it was far too late to do anything about it :o(

Happily, the recipient was absolutely delighted with it and even thought the mistake
was funny!
I was told the lady didn't like fussy, and this certainly isn't that!
I googled 1920s dancing for the inside. I must say those intrepid ladies dancing on the rooftop make me a tad queasy!!!
I used the Papyrus font for all of the text.
Basecard is my usual white linen from The Range, folded and cut to nearly 6x6.
Other card used is pewter textured from PDA.
Not a lot else I can say about it, except that I am a lot more careful now before printing
stuff out :o)

My first Christmas order for this year

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

Another overcast morning so far, we will see what the day brings and act accordingly!

My friend Jean asked me to make these for her. She has had them before (a few years ago) and liked them enough to want them again. She doesn't like fussy, she loves CAS and one layer, so that's what she gets.
They are very good for batch cards, it only took me a couple of hours to make 6 of each, including inserts!

Base cards are A4 ivory hammered card from Papermill Direct, folded and cut to 7x5.
SU trees and Stampendous Sentiment stamped Memento Rich Cocoa inkpad.
All the stamps are very old!
I forgot to take a pic of the inside, which reads "May the true spirit of Christmas shine in your heart and light your path". It's an SU sentiment that came with the scribble tree set, but was too small for inside so I typed it in MS Word.
Finished off with a sprinkling of gold Glamour Dust but it doesn't show up very well here :o)

Watch the birdies

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs

It's overcast here this morning, as it was yesterday all day. Still, it's dry and warm!

The little fun birds on my card for today were inspired by Docrafter Jackie-J.
I saw hers and thought "I can do that" LOL.  So here is my version, the card is quite different from Jackie's. I have made up kits for my Friday night workshop this week

A4 white linencard folded and trimmed to nearly 6x6.
All card used is from stash.
Yellow layer attachd to basecard, then white layer cut with Memory Box large circlebust die attached.
"Grass" cut with Spellbinders wavy pierced die.
Birds cut with Woodware round punch then cut in half.
Scraps used for beaks and combs, stickybacked pearl for eyes.
Woodware sentiment stamp.
Just a bit of nonsense but I enjoyed playing :o)

Normal stamping with Honey Doo

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

I wanted a card which is flat for posting but I wanted to use my lovely Honey Doo flowers, so I placed them with the leaves onto a large block to give a stencilled effect.
I think I managed it LOL.

A4 white linencard folded to make A5 card.
Stamped image onto 16 gsm smooth card with Memento inkpad.
Coloured with Copics, raindrops created with Glossy Accents.
The leaves look grey here but they really are green!
Corners punched with Martha Stewart punch which hasn't seen the light of day for years!
All card from my stash.
Sentiment stamped and punched with SU.
Very simple indeed :o)

More workshop cards...

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

Very dull and windy here this morning after me being like a limp wet rag yesterday in our 30c temperature! I know a lot of you love it, and I don't like wishing my life away, but roll on Autumn sez I.

Anyhow, enough of my griping. My cards for today were both from one of our Friday sessions with friend Sandra as hostess (my turn this coming Friday)

I can't give many details as they were both cut and ready for us to put them together. The only difference on the top one is that I used and SU sentiment where the other ladies used a big bow, and they added sentiments to the four corners.
It was fiddly weaving the background but I like it so it was worth it.

I followed this one as per the sample and I don't know what dies were used other than the Sue Wilson flowers :o)

Purple vellum flowers

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs

Well, once again the day had started sunny, but again it is starting to cloud over!!!

I found this lovely purple vellum in my stash so thought I would see what it looked like on a card, I must say that I do like it lots.

This is my 3rd set of Honey Doo stamps and I do love them.
Stamped with Brilliance Pearlescent Lavender and heat embossed with SU White Pearl Translucent powder, then handcut.
Crealies and Elizabeth Crafts leaf dies used to cut the foliage from Bazzill card.
Flutterbies punched with Martha Stewart punch.
Glossy Accents raindrops and tiny purple brads for the flower centres.
Grey Bazzil circle cut with Di-namics stitched die.
Single pearl coloured with Copic marker pen.
Sentiment stamped with Stamps and Smiles.
Ooooooooops! Nearly forgot to say the basecard is A4 white linencardfolded and cut to
nearly 6x6 :o)

A bit of a change for me

Good morning Bloggers, I hopw all is well in your world...hugs

As my title implies, my card for today is a departure from my usual stuff, but I do like it!
From one of our Friday night sessions, this card was friend Pauline's card for us to make.
It's been a long time since I made a DL card, and I must say that I enjoyed colouring this little fellow. We had th choice of Rudolph or this snowman, both by Woodware, so I chose this one, and I really enjoyed colouring him.
I usually use Copics, but being at Pauline's house I used her Promarkers.
I got on okay with them but I do love my Copics better LOL.

All the materials were ready for us to play with so I can't give details of papers/card cuz I don't know them!
I did enjoy colouring him in, then I handcut him and mounted onto the card with sticky foam pads to give a bit of depth.
Faux stitching done with an ordinary white pen.
I chose to use the ribbon to make a bowtie for him.
I am seriously thinking of looking for this stamp and the Rudolph one and buying them :o)

More vellum flowers

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well or getting there...hugs

I cannot believe it is Thursday again already! I do my food shopping on a Thursday and it seems like only a couple of days since I last did it, and yet here I am with bare fridge and cupboards. No wonder I will never be rich, I will just have to settle for being brainy instead, and if you believe that you will believe anything LOL.

Any how, I digress. Here is my card for today.

8x8 card blank from Papermania.
Embossed with embossalicious folder.
This is the second of three sets of Honey Doo flower stamps I bought.
Stamped onto pink vellum with Brilliance Cromson Copper inkpad, then heat embossed with SU white pearls translucent powder.
Handcut then made up the flowers and added pearl coloured with Copic marker to the centres.
All foliage cut with Memory Box dies.
I used Die-namics stitched round dies for the sentiment, which I stamped with My Creative Time, then added more pearls from stash, also coloured with Copic pen.
Martha Stewart punched flutterbies added, I may add a smidgeon of Glamour Dust to them, not made up my mind yet :o)

Workshop card

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs.

It's a beautiful sunny morning here so far, but very windy, don't know how long it will last. Hopefully the wind will stop it being too humid, it was awful yesterday!

Anyhow, on to my card share for today.
I get together with Pauline and Sandra, two of my crafting friends on Friday evenings, and although we used to craft we lost the way and were having lots of cuppas and cake and chat, so we decided to get back to crafting and now we do little workshops instead. Whichever one is hosting designs and cuts a couple of card kits so we are back to crafty evenings, and very enjoyable they are too. We do still have the cuppas and the cake LOL.
This is one of the cards we made a couple of weeks or so ago, not my design!

It is 7x7, and I can't give any details as it was already cut for us. I believe Sandra saw something similar on Pinterest and this is her version. I love the 3D effect.
The only things I change are the Flutterby (Martha Stewart punch) and the sentiment (My Creative Time stamp, cut with Die-namics stitched die), the other two did a bow and a different sentiment :o)

8x8 70th birthday commission

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well in your world...hugs
It's a bit dull and overcast here but at least it's dry!

A work colleague asked me to make a card for her Mum's 70th birthday and she wanted it to be CAS and include alcohol, karaoke and kindle! I puzzled for days on what to do, and played about on the computer,  and here is the finished card :o)

I didn't have time to think about buying a champagne flute die as it might not have arrived in time, so I made my own in SCAL, then cut it with my ancient little Cricut. Likewise with the 70. Both were cut from a piece of glittercard which was a creamy white.
Pearlised panel was cut with Spellbinders Grand Nesties then embossed with Embossalicious folder. I used clear gems from stash for the bubbles.

For the inside I opened a Word Doc and inserted a piece of sheet music and I used WordArt for the text. I didn't like the kid bit as this is for a 70 year old lady, so I changed it to Queen but forgot to take a pic after the change!
Next, I took a photograph of my own kindle and faded the page in PSP, then added the greeting using the Papyrus font.
I am very happy to report that the customer was bery pleased with it, thank goodness :o)
